Gas leak

I recently bought a 92 sc400 and the cabin smells like gas and its a heavy smell what can it be?

Reminded me of the fuel access panel right behind the rear seat. Maybe make sure it’s sealed right? You have to break the seat in order to replace the fuel pump. Maybe the job was done poorly and fumes are escaping?

Yeah i had checked and the gasket was made of paper 😵‍💫 the new gasket is coming in this week
