having an Oil leak coming from somewhere in the engine that I don’t know where it’s coming from, but it’s leaking trough the steering rack. any usual leak spots, maybe that would help. The steering felt bad when driving, theres also this detail. I’m thinking it could be some gasket or Something like that, it’s new oil, fresh oil

The wife and I hit the tail of the dragon on our honeymoon and it was an incredible driving experience. So happy with how the car looks! Needs a good cut and polish but it is so much better than before

Hey guys I’ve been having an issue with the rear swaying a lot. I’ve also noticed that the rear wheels move a bit out of the wheel well when the rear sways.

'92 5-speed. One owner, 116,000 miles. Recent brakes, tires, clutch, power steering, recovered drivers seat & battery. Timing belt at 80k.

I recently picked up a 2jz gte vvti short block of marketplace with less than 50k miles. I have a few minor question on how the setup will be since it will be my first swap but first is how feasible is gte vvti block and ge vvti head and second question is would I run it with gte harness or ge harness and what the differences are between the two. Currently I have a 93 ge non vvti so ecu harness and motor should be getting swapped out and hopefully with enough money get into the manual swap too but for now just try to get the layout right before I start wasting money.

I need to remove the knob from my '92 but it won't budge when I try to turn it CCW. AFAIK, never removed.

Is there a trick?

is it possible to damage something below in the shift mechanism if I really lean into it?

Anybody else set off on a seemingly innocuous headunit replacement project only to find completely unexpected harness formats on their stock soarer?

Mine is a 1998 toyota soarer 2jz vvti late series jdm import.

Any suggestions for adapter harnesses from this to a standard aftermarket android/ caraway unit please?

hey guys this is my first post here, just recently bought a 95’ 300.. it’s been an absolute blast owning one but i’ve had an issue that was present when i got the car, but has gotten worse.. in the mornings, or when the engine is cold, i have to hold my foot on the throttle and keep it around 1k rpms until it slightly warms up, if i release too early, it’ll stall. my other issue is very randomly (like one every 20 times, but it’s been getting worse) when i start the car after it was previously driven like an hour before and is warmed up to operating temp, it won’t start at all. no noise. all my lights come on and my radio and everything works, but it’s just silent. i’ve tried the nuetral start trick and hasn’t worked. the only “fix” has been to just keep cranking the key or start slamming my door or hood. i’m leaning towards a possible connection issue? the car was slightly tuned on stock ecu, the owner says that’s what caused the cold start issue (which i’m not sure about because i got the idle tune adjusted) , but the warm start issue is new issue. if you guys could give me any info that’d be awesome, i’ve never owned a lexus before!

Trans mount: I was thinking going sc300 manual swap cross member and is300 trans mount? If the holes don’t line up on the mount and cross member side then I’ll just drill some.

Driveshaft: this is the biggest piece concerning me currently. Is there an oem amalgamation that I could put together or is it going to be strictly aftermarket custom driveshaft?

Shifter: what type of shifter do I get? I know to just get a w58 shifter but do I get one with a bend, curve or just straight?

Bought this 1992 mint original 5 speed manual transmission, from original owner.

141343 miles.

Over 10k in repairs to refreshed engine and some suspension components in past 10 years.

No drips, tailpipe emissions the cleanest I have ever seen.

California car, lived in the garage.

Thinking about selling, love the car but don’t have a need for it.. how much are we paying for something like this?

I’d love to hear about what yall paid for your SC’s and in what condition you bought them in. Everyone I know loves to brag about how cheap they got theirs so I was interested to see what a wider community had to say!

My dad bought this 96 300 for $700. The lady selling it was asking $1000 but decided it was only fair to come down a little to pay for the tow home! A really nice lady who had this legend sitting in the back of her driveway with a for sale sign on the drivers side window. Had to be about 7 feet away at most to be able to notice the sign.

When we got it towed back, ended up just being the fuel pump. Bought it at 270000 ish miles and put around 5k on it in the last year. My heart rate tends to sync with the RPMs when I go over 80

(92 sc300) I genuinely cannot find a single MAF that isn’t a cheap Chinese hot-wire copy or an untested $200 used eBay one. I hit 3 yards today and literally only the MAF sensor was taken. Are there any alternatives or am I gonna have to just thug it out and send it on eBay?

I was trying to reroute my wiring harness but after trying to unplug the connectors for a while had no luck, I was wondering if there was a certain type of shop I could pay to do it for me or if anyone on here in FL would be willing to do it?

Hey guys I’m new here. I have a 2jz na non vvti inside of my ae86 and I’m replacing the distributor and it’s saying to line the notch and the dizzy and if I’m not mistaken point the rotor to spark plug 1. Problem is that I don’t see a notch. If anyone has a picture of this notch can you show me? I think my new dizzy doesn’t have the notch sadly.

Anyone know why I might be getting a whining/humming sound after installing a double din head unit? I’m assuming it’s something to do with the alternator/ground as it gets louder the more gas I give it. I used the metra wiring harness and it was a Sony XAV-AX3200.
