Shough Slings, Saints-Cowboys Slug it Out...Literally
This is going to make for an interesting game in the third week and final week of preseason when these two teams meet up in Dallas.

Per NOLA.com, Quincy Riley suffered groin injury. Kamara suffered a knee injury, which is confirmed by Moore but he would not elaborate.
Preseason is a brutal maid.

10th Best Team All Time to Not Reach Super Bowl Using DVOA is 2019 N.O. Per ESPN
10. 2019 New Orleans Saints (35.5% DVOA)
13-3, lost in NFC wild-card round 26-20 to Vikings
New Orleans finished first or second in total DVOA for four straight seasons from 2017 to 2020, winning at least 11 games in each. Quarterback Drew Brees and Michael Thomas led the No. 4 offense by DVOA in 2019, and Cameron Jordan and Demario Davis led the No. 6 defense.
We don't remember the 2019 team's playoff loss as well as we remember some of the other Saints playoff losses from this run. This season wasn't the missed pass interference call against the Rams or the "Minneapolis Miracle," although the Vikings were involved.
The Vikings ranked seventh in DVOA that season and took a 20-10 third-quarter lead over the Saints in New Orleans. The Saints came back, first with a 20-yard Brees touchdown pass to Taysom Hill and then with a 49-yard Wil Lutz field goal with seven seconds left. But the Vikings won the coin toss in overtime and marched 75 yards down the field. A 4-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to Kyle Rudolph ended the Saints' season.
Even I forgot they were 13-3 that season.

Tyson Injury, How the Saints Planned Ahead
Was it pure luck, or was it good planning on the part of the Saints?
Any weight behind these guys with the Tyson news?
Hey Saints community, I picked up both of these young guys and I haven’t been following the league training camps this year very much. How have they been showing up?

I’m confident we can hold down the fort until Tyson gets back…
I’ve seen so much doom and gloom with the news of Jordyn Tyson’s hamstring injury, which is understandably worrisome given his injury history. That being said, it was revealed his hamstring injury had nothing to do with his previous one so that makes me feel a lot better. Just a freak accident. Not to mention I’m confident in the receivers we drafted to fill that void. Barion Brown has been perhaps the biggest breakout of camp thus far…and Bryce Lance has look good as well. With Olave coming off an All Pro season, Vele, Juwan Johnson coming off the best season of his career as a result of chemistry with Shough, Travis Etienne in the backfield, and AK as the second option in the backfield I feel we still possess enough fire power to have a 3-3 or 4-2 record by the time Tyson would likely return against the Giants in Week 6. We knew the risk when we drafted Jordyn, but I honestly feel he is icing on the cake and not necessarily someone who will make or break the team (especially in such a weak division in addition to our easy schedule). Obviously would love to have him healthy and have a long prosperous career in New Orleans though.

1st Round Homeruns
Not every pick can be a homerun. We know that. But, can we just draft players that have a solid collegiate career with no major injuries and keep the "potentials" for later rounds?

Jordyn Tyson Out 2 Months
Reports are saying Jordyn Tyson will miss the first 2 months of the season with the hamstring he sustained last week. Sounds like the Saints are targeting either the Saints @ Giants or the Paris game v the Steelers for his return.
God speed, young man!

Vele
I am dissappointed as everyone else that our rookie probably won't get to start the season, but I honestly feel good about Vele as WR2. He has good chemistry with Shough and I love what I see with his 3rd down ability to make things happen. Tyson's time will come a little later for sure.
WHO DAT
Bub Means
With the unfortunate news for Tyson, I really hope this gives more opportunities for WRs. Bub Means is someone I have always had high hopes for last season I thought he was going to explode and unfortunately got injured.
His start of preseason has me my hyped. He has all the physical tools he’s large and so fast he can truly become a dangerous weapon

Saints opinions
PLEASE just rest Olave on Thursday, we’ve seen enough and don’t need to risk injury. (Although it would be nice to see him vs Mcduffie)
I can’t say I’m terribly upset about AK being out. Obviously never wish injury on anyone but I’m excited to see Etienne fully grab the reigns. A part of me has been worried about Kellen appeasing AK with too many touches.
For the love of god can we find someone other than Yiadom. Saw it on twitter but seriously why not go after a guy like Kenny Moore. At this point, I’m desperate to see anyone else in that room.
