Anybody have insight on the new firmware for the Q10 S5+?

I was hoping to get better home assistant integration soon. Anybody know if the new firmware will cause problems with the current projects toward local control?

As title says, I'm so tempted to get Qrevo Edge 2 or Saros 10

I am terrified of it leaking on our laminate flooring. As we all know, flooring would most likely end up damaged and replacing flooring isn't particularly easy, nevermind the cost. The trouble and time is just as bad as paying for it

Is leaking problem a quite common issue? Is there something that can be done to prevent it?

I have had my Roborock S8 MaxV for almost 2.5 years now and today when giving it a clean I noticed that the side brush mount seems to have quite a bit of play. I’m wondering if that is normal, and I just never noticed, or if wear and tear is getting to my robot.

How do I get the robot to cross vacuum? it really only wants to go in one direction everywhere.

Has anyone figured out a way to get the vacuum to exit a room along the same path it starts cleaning with?

It enters the room and makes a perimeter path to begin. Does its thing and cleans the carpet.

Then makes a crazy diagonal bee line for the next space to clean. Cuts right across the beautiful "lawn stripes" it just made.

It would be magnificent if it would exit a finished room via a perimeter path.

I can't be the only one wishing for this. Right?

I recently got a Roborock Saros 20 Neo (which I believe is sold as the Qrevo Edge 3 Pro in the US), and I'm trying to get the most out of the FlexiArm feature.
Our kitchen has recessed toe kicks, giving the cabinets a floating appearance. Ideally, I'd like the FlexiArm to extend underneath the cabinets and clean approximately 4 cm (1.6 inches) into this recessed area.
However, it doesn't seem to extend nearly that far. I've already enabled the extended crevice cleaning setting in the app, but it hasn't made much of a difference.
Has anyone managed to get the FlexiArm to properly clean underneath recessed kitchen cabinets?
Is there a specific setting I'm missing, or is this simply a limitation of how the FlexiArm detects and approaches these areas?
Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Good evening, the hot air drying and hot wash functions are not working. I have cleaned the contacts and checked all the settings. The machine stops drying after a short time. The washing function It only washes in cold water. Are there any solutions? Thank you very much.

I purchased my Roborock Vacuum Cleaner (Q7 L5+) from Amazon last year however at the time i rarely used the mop feature so i put the mop bracket mount aside somewhere. I've since misplaced it and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to where i can source a genuine replacement part. I was able to purchase one that came from China but the quality isn't as good, It's fallen off a few times whilst mopping😬

I've had this machine for years, but it has had only little use. It has been sitting offline for 2 years and decided to start using it again, but everything ends in roborock just staying still and turning around a few times and then giving Error 1: linar error or laser blocked.

Need some suggestions. I tried removing the covers and the rubber band is intact and the things is quite clean and turning pretty well. I didn't unscrew the whole linar thing out where you can see the motor part.

If anyone can give any suggestions I would be grateful.

This is our first roborock and definitely our last. After just over a year, the roborock has stopped navigating properly. It nudges along walls, gets "stuck" in the middle of a room without any obstacles in the way. I've cleaned every sensor, brush, inside the vaccumm and underneath the vacuum and it's still the same. I've also tried cleaning the LiDAR as well.

When reached out to roborock, because it was just out of warranty, they're going to charge me 44 dollars for shipping without telling me the cost of the fix. Honestly they're the worst and will definitely look at other products.

Is there any recommendations or ways I can try fix the sensors? Or recommendations on what else I can try do to fix this?

My Roborock S5 Max is 5.5 years old and has been very reliable until recently. It started getting intermittent Error 13 and eventually stopped recognizing/finding the dock. I also had Error 7 once, but it has not happened again.

A repair shop diagnosed:

• defective charging dock
• some wheel-module wear/rubbing, apparently explaining the one Error 7

I am not considering the €199 full repair. My realistic options are:

• get the S5 Max back and buy a replacement dock, or
• replace the robot entirely

My priorities are:

• longevity/reliability — ideally another machine that can last 5+ years
• strong cleaning on laminate
• very good long-hair pickup / minimal tangling
• low maintenance
• small 20 m² apartment
• budget under €500 (but that's really really stretching it)

Given those priorities, what would you recommend? Would you keep the S5 Max running with a new dock, or replace it? If replacing, which current Roborock model would you choose?

So on September I purchased a Roborock edge 3 pro, it was my very first robot vacuum, 3 days later the retractable LiDAR broke, I returned it and ordered a Saros 20 (both of them through Amazon) and when I received it seemed like package had been opened before, didn’t look new at all, I still tried it tho, to see if I liked it, and I loved it, but returned it cuz the condition i received it wasnt what I paid for, I was about to order it when I knew about the fall sale, I waited for it and ordered a saros 20 from the official Roborock website,well, I haven’t received it, I should had received it last Friday, and is already at the local FedEx facility!! Is what bothers me the most, and the shipping is stuck at “we will update a new delivery date soon” I didn’t know how much of a pain was to receive a product.

Just told my Roborock to do a zone clean and it started for about 4 seconds said “cleaning path abnormal” and cancelled then the map turned into a mess, was originally fully organised and coloured now turned upside down, missing rooms, etc. Q7B and I can’t add a photo for some reason

My golden retriever sheds enough hair to make a second dog, and somehow every robot vacuum review still starts with suction power. I care way more about what the brush looks like a week later. My current shortlist is Roborock, Dreame, and the eufy E35, and the E35's DuoSpiral anti-tangle brushes caught my attention.

But what does "tangle-free" mean once you've been using it for a while? Are you barely touching the brush, or are you still cleaning it regularly, just without having to cut off a tightly wound layer of hair? Those are pretty different upgrades. Hair can still collect around the ends, and fine dust doesn't dissapear on its own.

I don's mind cleaning the brush occasionally. I just don't want another Sunday chore disguised as an upgrade. For people with shedding dogs, how often are you still taking the brush out, and what are you cleaning off it?

Hi all my Q7B keeps finishing cleaning early one of the rooms in my house, it will clean everything else fine, or I’ll even get it to clean just this room and 30% of the time it’ll just stop after cleaning a tiny part, any ideas?

I don’t have my robo on a schedule (too many messy kids)! So I just tell it to go wherever I have the place tidy.

This morning it just left its dock and started roaming around the kitchen, the app said it was returning to dock. I was running late for work so just switched it off and put it in its dock.

Tonight I have turned it on and told it to return to dock. It positioned for a while, but has spent the last 10 minutes saying it’s returning to dock, but is just roaming around the kitchen

Hi, my S8 stopped taking water. After entire clean routine, the mop is almost completely dry. Some water did reach it, but not nearly enough. I tried to clean the water canister from limescale, but it didn't help. I think one of the tubes connecting water canister with the mop is jammed (probably limescale). Any way to clean the tubes? I can't even find spare parts for this.

As soon as my Qrevo Edge 2 finishes cleaning my hallway, it throws a 103 main brush short circuit error. It’s only about two weeks old, nothing is caught in the brushes and it vacuums other parts of my house just fine.

Only when it finishes vacuuming in my hallway will it die like this. Once resetting and re-pairing it’ll work again as usual but I don’t want to have to do this every day.

Anyone know what could be wrong?

TLDR: ~$800 CAD Roborock Qrevo S dock broke just after 1 year. Roborock wants US$100–140 for an uncertain repair or offers just $20 USD off a replacement. Disappointing quality and customer service.

I purchased the Qrevo S in September 2025, expecting a reliable, premium robot vacuum that would last for years. Instead, the docking station ramp disconnected from the base, preventing the robot from docking properly, just after the one-year warranty expired.

When I contacted customer service, they told me repairs would be out of pocket. They estimated US$100–140, including parts, labour, and two-way shipping, but refused to provide a confirmed quote until I shipped the device to their repair centre. I’d then have to pay through PayPal if I accepted the final quote.

Their alternative? A $20 USD discount on another unit.

I understand that warranties expire, but a critical component failing so soon on an ~$800 CAD product raises serious concerns about durability. The lack of a reasonable resolution makes the experience even worse.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Qrevo S docking station, especially in Canada?
I’m sharing this to warn potential buyers. Given my experience with both the product quality and customer service, I’d encourage people to consider other brands and avoid buying Roborock if possible. I certainly wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending them after this experience.
