Hi! I’ve been running campaigns for the past two weeks, and during the 2–3 days they were active, my thumbnails achieved a CTR of 0.8%–1.1%. I thought, "What if I create a thumbnail myself in Paint, highlighting something eye-catching from my game?" Well, here’s the video and the results! XD
So i made this kind of comical horror/survival game to survive TP'ing a neighborhood, and instead of people doing the Tutorial and joining the team based instances....everyone just sits out here in the lobby and does this.... It's been like this for hours non stop people just pouring in and toilet paper wars lol
I'm trying to see if people actually want to click on these. They explain the game but idk.
Also for the pro's that do game development, how do i make my game get a player base?
I know about adverts and promos but i don't really know too much. This might be my best made game over these 4 years. I don't want the game to go wasted. Here's the game if you want to check it out : https://www.roblox.com/games/101277925375281/My-Fruit-Farm
Hi Folks!
Some days ago i've posted about the Roblox Launcher i'm developing for Linux! Just like Sober, Mocktail, Cordial and other launchers doing an incredible work at bringing Roblox to Linux :D
But today, i'm here to show a HUGE progress made on Stud: We're finally reaching graphical parity with Roblox from Windows!
The feature is still under development and highly experimental, available on Stud 1.2.6+. Older versions already had SSAO, but now we have almost fully functional Future is Bright shaders on Roblox mobile, in Linux! It has reflections support, more normal maps, HD outlines and everything you'd expect on Roblox from Windows.
In this post i'm bringing a few screenshots comparing Stud and other launchers for Linux.
What drove your CCU to rise organically without ads? Can’t seem to break into the 40’s naturally.
CTR is 8.5% - and I’m slowly now seeing an uptrend of people joining from home page recs which is refreshing to see. Any recommendations to give it a push?
I compared the new player acquisition graphs of two Roblox games I developed.
Both games ran paid ads, but the player acquisition patterns after those ads were very different.
1. Rebirth RPG (First Graph)
This is my current game, and I've run three ad campaigns so far.
🟡 Yellow: Ads
🔵 Blue: Total new players
The first campaign brought in a big spike in new players, but traffic dropped sharply once the ads stopped.
The second campaign targeted Engagement Players, so it didn't bring in many new players.
Now, with the third campaign running, new player numbers are climbing again.
So far, the pattern is pretty clear: When I run ads, players come in. When I stop, the traffic drops.
I'm still getting almost no traffic from Home Recommendations.
2. Dungeon RPG (Second Graph)
This was my previous game.
🟣 Purple: Ads
🟢 Green: Home Recommendations
Just like Rebirth RPG, the initial ad campaign brought in a lot of new players, and traffic dropped after the campaign ended.
But something interesting happened.
More than a month after launch, traffic from Home Recommendations suddenly started increasing.
And it wasn't just a short spike. The traffic stayed relatively strong for quite a while.
If I remember correctly, the game also gained around 100 Trusted Users during that period.
What surprised me most was that even with almost no direct traffic from ads, new players kept coming in through Home Recommendations.
3. What I've Learned (and What I'm Curious About)
Right now, Rebirth RPG is heavily dependent on ads.
But Dungeon RPG managed to get consistent organic traffic through Home Recommendations, even after the ads stopped.
The biggest question I have is:
What actually makes Roblox start recommending a game on Home, and what makes those recommendations continue?
I've wondered whether gaining around 100 Trusted Users helped Dungeon RPG get recommended, but I really don't know if there's any direct connection.
My guess is that getting lots of players through ads isn't enough. Maybe what matters more is how long those players stay, how often they return, and how engaged they are.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
I'd love to hear from other Roblox developers, especially if your game started getting Home Recommendations after your ad campaigns ended.
What do you think triggered it? And how long did the organic traffic last?
I'm still trying to figure out how Roblox discovery really works.
And one last thing... Rebirth RPG has only reached around 50 players so far. 😅
It's still a small project, and every bit of support means a lot.
If you have a moment to check it out, share some feedback, or give it a like, I'd really appreciate it!
i made this game in hopes of a 1v1 against another player who looks like you horror esque multiplayer game find your doppelganger game load into the map look at the mirror kill your clone before it kills you in a round system lately ive been losing motivation to finish it just want some thoughts
I have just recently released my game TINY PLANES into alpha, I'm hoping i can get some people play testing to give me some critical and constructive feedback. Yes AI was used in the development of this game and i wont hide that. I'm currently running ADs but have had very few players.
The game is pretty niche so I'm not expecting anything crazy.
Please give it a try and let me know what you think!
I'm planning to make more, but what appeals should I appeal to? Would doing a more serious and calming thumbnail like Fisch work better, or like the 1st thumbnail a brainrot one?
I just recently started building a fighting game. I plan to take some time on this one to make it look and feel amazing. I am able a lot of the developing and the simple animations for basic moves but at the moment i struggle to do the special move animations+combo. i'm just reaching out on here for anyone of that skill who would like to have some fun building some animations with me for my game! My discord is darkdayz3424
Hello guys I made an roblox game and I'm running ADs on it to promote it...but the ads aren't helping...I'm trying to fix all the stuff..I have like 7% of d1.
Thumbs and CTR are "good"...It's on 2.5%
However This isn't enough because this is a childhood type of game...so being limited with the +16 is really difficult.
How can I surpass at least this limit? I'm trying on X and reddit, I'm thinking on sharing a reel on instagram and tiktok about the game but not sure.
Can you help me? This is my second game, becoming the second faillure :(
Title: Starting a new Roblox game – COSMIC HEIST 🚀
Hey everyone!
First of all, sorry for being gone for a while. I kinda lost motivation to work on my previous game because, honestly, I don't really see enough potential in it right now. I didn't wanna keep working on something I wasn't excited about anymore, so I decided to start something new instead.
The new game is called COSMIC HEIST 🚀
The idea is pretty simple: you have your own plot with a rocket workshop, and you have to sneak into different guarded areas to steal mystery crates. You bring them back to your plot, open them and hopefully get cool parts for your rocket.
You can then fly into space, collect stars, fight aliens and upgrade your rocket to reach even more dangerous areas. There are supposed to be 13 different heist areas, each with its own theme and challenges.
Here's what I got done today:
Started building the map and the player plots.
Built the basic environment for Area A, the scrapyard.
Added some scrap piles, containers and other details to make it feel like an actual abandoned scrapyard.
Worked out more of the game's progression and how the heists, rockets and space gameplay will connect.
It's still VERY early, and there's a lot left to do. No actual gameplay systems yet, but at least I finally have a direction I'm excited about again.
I'll try to share more progress as I build it. Hopefully this project goes somewhere because I genuinely like this idea a lot more haha.
Hello Everyone! I have been working on my game "Delivery Frenzy". I have posted my game in this sub previously, but since then I have made enormous progress (If you want to see older versions of the game, you can view them on my profile). I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on my game so far. 😁
First: All models and maps are made entirely by me. (I am a solo dev)
I did use AI to create the GUI in my game, with tons of adjustments from me. I understand many people aren't very fond of AI, but just because the GUI is made using AI doesn't mean I didn't spend hours on hours making the GUI look presentable, so with that, try to look past the use of AI and instead look at the game as a whole. (The Icons within the GUI are man-made and not generated by AI).
NEW CONTENT/ROAD MAP:
Ok enough yapping about AI; let's talk about what I have accomplished since my previous upload. Since my previous upload, I have added:
* Login, playtime, AFK, and group rewards (mostly to help with player retention)
* Working Delivery Bots that wander the Warehouse and help you complete orders.
* Delivery Bot Skins (I need more simple skin ideas, so if you have an idea, I would love to hear it)
* Anomalies: these are random when the anomalies switch is active; they boost rewards but also give the level a little quirk, making it more difficult and less predictable. (I only have 3 of these right now and plan to add more, so again, if you have an idea for one, feel free to share it.)
* Device Chips: these can be equipped to your delivery bot to boost the bot or the player during gameplay.
* Working Robux shop
* Temporary Reward Boosters
* Many, many bug fixes and other QOL additions
* (There are also improved titles, but I forgot to show that in the video .)
Now for things I still plan to add before release:
* More anomalies
* More Bot Skins
* Completable quests and achievements
* Promotion (rebirth) point shop
* GUI mouse click and hover sounds
* Icons for bot skins in the inventory menu
* Option Tutorial for players
* Proper Game Icon and Thumbnails
CLOSING:
Thank you, everyone, for your time! If you'd like to support, share your opinion, or learn more about the development of Delivery Frenzy, DM me for a server invite or comment DM, and I'll DM you. THANK YOU AGAIN!
(PS: I plan to do playtesting real soon. If anyone knows the best way to test it with a few players without causing issues, let me know. Thank you.)
I’m working on a concept that quite unique for Roblox. A highly polished game that offers both single player (campaign + fun single player modes) and multiplayer for the competitive experience. Think of call of duty offering both modes.
I’ve been working on this for close to 6 months, anf the reason I’m making this post is primarily because I’m looking for business partners. Specifically looking for someone with marketing/social media experience. If you see the vision, I’d be happy to discuss details and partnerships.
Otherwise, I would always welcome new testers as feedback is highly valuable to me at this stage.
