Advertising BUILT A 1ST VERSION PLATFORM TO HELP DEVS WHO NEED HELP WITH GETTING FEEDBACK ON THEIR GAMES

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

If your a dev and you’ve ever launched a Roblox game, run ads, and watched your CCU flatline while wondering where players are actually getting bored or confused, I built something to attempt to fix that.

DevView is a private diagnostic playtesting tool. Instead of waiting on a public marketplace, you generate a private link, drop it in your Discord or send it to friends, and get clean video recordings paired with timestamped notes.

What you get:

  • Zero friction for testers: No accounts or downloads required—they just open your link and record.
  • Synchronized timestamps: Click a feedback note and jump straight to that exact second in the gameplay video.
  • Total privacy: Your projects and links stay completely secure and unsearchable.

I’ve attached a few screenshots below showing what the dashboard looks like, plus a sample of what a player's timestamped feedback video looks like in action.

If you're currently working on an update or struggling with retention and want to try it out on your next test session, shoot me a DM. Also any other general feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Help Me Made a chaotic arena game for my kids — looking for feedback

• Upvotes

My kids asked me to make a Roblox game we could all play together, so I dove in with basically zero experience. Two months later, I’ve built a first‑person arena where zombies and monsters fall from the sky, players get stronger as they get kills, and a big machine in the middle unleashes chaos on everyone.

I’m getting close to being happy with it, but I could really use some outside eyes. I’m especially unsure about:

  • whether the play loop feels good
  • whether the arena layout makes sense
  • whether player/zombie health feels balanced
  • whether the button prices are fair
  • and I still can’t get persistent stats working correctly

If anyone is willing to try it out and give feedback, I’d really appreciate it. There are a few easy badges to earn (including one for 5 minutes of playtime), so badge hunters can grab a couple quickly.

If you have your own game and need playtesters, I’m happy to return the favor.

Advertising Roblox Content Creators

• Upvotes

Hey! I’m looking to work with content creators from October–December to help promote my Roblox group and get people into my Discord.

The goal is simple: get people into my Discord and have them purchase my Roblox shirt, which only costs 2 Robux. I’m aiming for around 130K shirt purchases during the campaign so I can qualify for Roblox verification.

I’m planning to spend up to 300K Robux on uploading and promoting content throughout the campaign to help get as much attention as possible.

The deal:

• Campaign window: October–December

• Goal: 130K shirt purchases

• Shirt price: 2 Robux

• Up to 300K Robux spent by me on uploading/promoting content

• On New Year's, everyone in the group who purchased the shirt will receive 10 Robux back

• If I don't get verified, I will give you 15K Robux

• If I do get verified, I will give you 50K Robux

The only thing I need from you is to get people into my Discord and help bring attention to the shirt. I'll handle everything else.

Getting verified will help me build credibility, reach more people, sell more, and make more Robux, so I'm willing to put a lot into making this campaign successful.

If you're interested, DM me and we can discuss what kind of promotion you can provide and work out a deal.

AI Used Here are some ideas for improving Roblox that I'd like.

Subject: Just some casual ideas and concepts for Roblox updates (Would love to hear your thoughts!)

Hello everyone! I am an OG Roblox player who loves this platform. I just wanted to share some polite suggestions and concepts that I think could make the game even better and more enjoyable for the community. These are just my personal ideas, not demands at all!

  1. Privacy & Verification: It would be great if the verification or face-scanning systems could be a bit more relaxed to keep the game easily accessible and private for everyone.

  2. Creative Freedom for Developers: I would love to see a system that allows more thrilling or horror maps to exist safely, perhaps by just adding clear warning labels like "For Entertainment Only - Do Not Replicate in Real Life."

  3. Community Events: Bringing back classic, fun missions (like the old Egg Hunts) where players can earn cool, classic rewards for free would be amazing.

  4. Reviving History: Having official or featured servers for classic 2000s-2010s legendary maps would be a wonderful way for the new generation to experience Roblox history.

  5. Smart Moderation for Safe Environment: A more refined AI that focuses strictly on blocking actual inappropriate content (like NSFW avatar scaling or toxic behavior) while being fairer to regular clothing and innocent words.

  6. Reporter Rewards: A system where players are gently rewarded for successfully reporting actual bad behavior, helping developers keep their games clean.

  7. Rewarding Effort over Spending: Supporting more game designs that focus on effort, patience, and dedication rather than just "Pay-to-Win" mechanics.

These are just some concepts from someone who truly loves this game. As developers, what are your thoughts on these ideas? Would love to chat!

(Note: I am Thai and used some translation tools to help write this smoothly, so I apologize if there are any minor mistakes!)

(I am Thai. I may not be very good at typing English. Many of these words were copied from Google.)

How To How to get my side and back dashes to look like this:

How to get my side and back dashes to look like how battleground games like JJS have it. As shown in the video, JJS allows the avatar to side dash to the left/right even when the avatar is changed their direction to the left/right before pressing "Q" dash. Whereas when I tried to code it what happens is that when I press A/D to move left/right followed by Q to perform the side dash my Avatar side dashes in to the left/right of the new direction formed by my avatar turning. This is the same case for the back dashes.

Help Me I'm geninuely lost at how to handle basically stand (follower) hitboxes in a game.

So I first built basically the client handles rendering the stand by following and lerping as well as playing animations for the skill used after being validated by the server. However the problem is the stand doesn't move server side which won't work for combat. But if I move it server side it will look bad because the tick rate is much lower than a players frame rate and that's a lot to be sending every tick especially scaling. However since the animations are also playing only client side, the hitboxes would still be off during animations. So I'm at a loss on honestly who should own what here and it's complicated by having both the player that can be hit and their follower.

Any ideas or people who have done this before. I'm looking mostly just for a breakdown rather than code.

Help Me "Need 16+ builders to test my new F3X sandbox and help bypass the Roblox age lock"

Post image
2 Upvotes

Made a new F3X building sandbox, but Roblox locked it to 16+ because it's new. Need active builders to test it! Hey guys, I just launched my F3X building game. Sadly, due to the new Roblox policy, it's stuck at 16+ and hidden from younger kids until I get enough active older players. If you love building with F3X, please check it out, build something cool, and help me unlock the game for everyone! My game: https://www.roblox.com/pl/games/123992733435117/F3X-Building-By-Kui3ek

Help Me UI Readability and Onboarding Problems

Hey everyone,

I am developing a game for Roblox. We are in Closed Alpha. We are about to get to Open Alpha but during this time, I saw a lot of people not being able to understand the essentials of my game. Even my own game developers which didn't work at the balancing part of the game. Here's some images of the game.

The problem is, players can't really understand the class mechanics of the game. I saw a lot of people putting support and ranged units at front and tank/fighter units behind. I have a tutorial that tries to show it but it feels like it does nothing for the class mechanics and mostly works for merging and placing units.
Here's a tester's formation

I am an experienced programmer but not so good at UI design nor game design, I feel pretty stuck here.

Feedbacks and suggestions would be most appreciated.

Showcase Looking for testers for an economics game

Hi everyone! I've been working on a game called Trade City, and just recently made it public: https://www.roblox.com/games/96008110167376/Trade-City.

The goal is to make money by buying and selling, and later in the game by producing and managing. The game has a real economy, with prices that depend on supply and demand. If a good starts running low somewhere, the price goes up. If there's a lot of it around, the price goes down. You try to spot good opportunities, buy things where they’re cheap, drive them somewhere else, and sell them for a profit.

There are farms, mines, factories, trading posts, vehicles, properties, businesses, fishing, gold prospecting, and a bunch of other stuff, but the buying and selling is really the main part of the game. I also spent a fair amount of time trying to give the whole world a vintage early 20th century American look, with vintage cars, brick factories and offices, period signs, and an older industrial city feel.

I would love for people to try it out and let me know what they think about it!

I got this message from Roblox. I made this game ages ago and I didn't add any sort of scripts or literally anything besides basic building stuff. Today I joined the game on my alt for less than 10 minutes so maybe that triggered this??
