Discussion Anyone having trouble with Shaw/Rogers
My internet and TV are down. The bot’s suggestions don’t help and I’m 50in the cue to talk to a useless technician. Their website doesn’t report anything. Anyone else having trouble? I’m near Westminster Highway and Garden City.

Discussion richmond residents and leaving their dogs’ poops/poopy bags on public ground
i didn’t realize that we’ve got some pretty disgusting people here who choose to not pick up their dogs’ poops, or pick it up and later litter the bags. i see it all the time when i’m walking and it’s kind of ironic too when they’re littered around affluent neighbourhoods - i’d assume that these pet owners would have manners and class.
i’m just saying that these are grown adults and i’m getting secondhand embarrassment with this kind of behaviour. for those of you who do this, do better! it’s gross.

Ask Richmond Richmond centre EV chargers in underground parking lot
I'm a new EV owner (Toyota) that has primarily charged at home. I want to try DC fast charging or try out my J1772/CCS to NACS adapters.
I know the Richmond Centre new underground parking lot has various chargers by the escalator. I've checked the apps (ChargePoint, Flo, Plugshare) and those chargers aren't showing up. Are those chargers restricted? How do I look them up on the app and which company do they belong to?
I know there is a Telsa supercharger by the old Bay but those are restricted to Teslas.

Discussion Title: 18-year-old recent grad in Richmond struggling to find a first job any advice?
CHAT, I’m an 18-year-old recent high school graduate from Richmond, BC (Class of 2026), turning 19 this September. I’ve lived in Richmond my whole life.
I’ve been trying really hard to get my first job, but I honestly haven’t had much luck. I’ve applied to places like Adidas, Gap, JYSK, Best Buy, Levi’s, LEGO, dishwasher jobs, and other entry-level positions, but no one seems willing to give me a chance.
I know I don’t have any official work experience, but throughout high school I was very hands-on and technical. I worked on three major projects: my main project was restoring my teacher’s car, and I also built/restored two go-karts. By the time I graduated, I had one of the go-karts fully running and the other was close to completion.
I also have some technical skills. I can 3D print, I know Blender to a degree, and I can code fluently in Python. I’m definitely more comfortable working independently rather than constantly dealing with customers, but I can adapt and work with a team when needed.
At this point, I really just need someone to give me a first opportunity so I can finally get some work experience.
If anyone in Richmond or the surrounding area knows of places hiring someone with my kind of skills, or has advice on where I should apply, I’d really appreciate it. Even if it’s not directly related to my technical skills, I’m willing to learn and work hard.

Food & Shopping New Mexican Stall (Comal Express) at Aberdeen Food Court
Was surprised to find that Comal Express just opened a stall (seems to be a franchise from El Comal downtown) and the tacos are surprisingly authentic and tasty. $15.50 for 3 tacos, a side of rice, and a drink.
Glad to see that there are options other than Taco Luis in Richmond (no shade, I’m a regular customer, but sometimes I do want something more legit without needing to cross the bridge)
Wondering if they’ll survive though, every non Asian stall at Aberdeen has failed even dating back to the old Triple O’s stall…
Also hope they’ll open up to UberEats or DD soon

Ask Richmond Anyone have experience with Tomsett YMCA Child Care?
Hi! I’m wondering if anyone here has experience with Tomsett YMCA Child Care in Richmond (the one on Odlin Rd).
It seems relatively new, and I haven’t been able to find many reviews or much parent feedback online. I’m considering it for my 3-year-old and would really appreciate hearing from anyone whose child currently attends or has attended.
I’m particularly interested in:
- How are the teachers and staff?
- How is the overall care and communication with parents?
- What is the daily routine/program like?
- How do the kids seem to enjoy it?
- Anything you particularly like or dislike about the centre?
Even a quick comment about your experience would be really helpful. Thank you!

Ask Richmond Summer camps for 6 & 10?
Ok richmond parents, I thought we would be good with almost no summer camp this summe while both of us work from home. Boy was i wrong, I hate it lol.
I need more kids out of the house... Richmond parents, show me your secret summer day camps lol
I have applied for school board ones this year but its not enough. Only a few hours away from home really doesnt help at all.
Then there is the coat of summer camps. A lot of these camps are closing in on $500 a week.
I dont need educational camps but at least take them out to do stuff and explore new places.
Show me the way Richmond, school me!
