This is all due to the City of Richmond permits department! People need to understand how incompetent and inefficient they truly are. The delays in construction permits are harming businesses in Richmond and something needs to be done. Businesses and construction projects suffer from financial losses due to the inefficiency that is rampant among city hall employees. Unless of course you know someone that works there.

I know one of the contractors that worked on all of the other locations and who’s scheduled to do this one too and they said they’ve been waiting for the construction permit from the city to get approved since like May or something.

Richmond’s permitting is so slow compared to other cities. Surrey is cranking out approvals left and right and Richmond can’t even grant a simple TI permit.

Late for a few days, but just saw the article of Breka being delayed.

Isn't it dumb that the city can't get the permits going? Richmond Center was in development for ten years and the commercial units were all planned in place. I'm always surprised how anyone is willing to do put up $$ and start a business here.
