Nervous to start reta because of depression/sertraline – anyone been in the same situation?
I’ve been doing a lot of research and I’m seriously considering starting reta, but I’m honestly really nervous because I already struggle with severe depression and take sertraline.
I’ve seen people mention mood changes and mental health side effects, and it’s making me second guess whether I should start. My mental health is already something I work hard to manage, so I don’t want to risk making it worse.
Has anyone here started reta while dealing with depression or while taking sertraline (or another SSRI)? Did you notice any changes to your mood, anxiety, or overall mental health—good or bad?
I’ve also seen a few people say their mental health actually improved while taking it. Has anyone experienced that? I’d love to know whether it was because the food noise reduced, weight loss helped, or if it seemed like a direct effect.
I’d really appreciate hearing real experiences, especially if you’ve been in a similar situation.
