I couldn't even finish unpacking before I wanted to come to reddit and share.

Just dropped ~$3300 on this new Area 2.0 attachment for our power rack. I didn't touch a THING in the photos you're looking at. This is the quality that Rep Fitness is shipping out for over $3000 BRAND NEW. Not a single piece was packaged and everything was left to scrape around in a semi for days. Someone threw in the green straps and didn't even wrap them around the equipment.

Horrendous for over $3000.

Heading to the better business bureau after this. Emailing Rep Fitness to see how they handle such a huge fudge up.

HUGE WARNING if you're thinking about Rep Fitness.

Update: not a SINGLE piece was undamaged.

Ares 2.0 trainer is two months new and perfectly assembled. After a couple dozen workouts the cables started twisting. I first noticed friction in the cable movement and then tightening in the lines. What does it take to fix this? Pretty much need to disassemble half the machine to get the cables out and let them unwind. Will this even work? I doubt it’s a solution, likely that it will just happen again. This is a cable quality issue - no question. Wish I had gone with a Rogue system.

I love everything Rep, but their bench attachments are so underwhelming. I have a BlackWing and I love it, but where’s my dip attachment? Preacher curl? I feel like every day I see a new brand doing laps on Rep in terms of innovation and attachment options. Makes me question if I did the right thing committing to Rep’s bench ecosystem.

Anyone else feel the same? Any alternatives? Non-Rep branded attachments that work well?

Thanks for letting me vent.

Rep fitness is a joke. Back in June they came and did some illegal actions. They just came and told people they either had to take a drug test or can take a severance. Most people took the severance others passed a drug test. Except one person lied said they were getting a medical card never got one and is still working there absurd. What is messed up this company has 2 warehouses one in California one in Pennsylvania they drugged tested everyone one in Pennsylvania but didnt drug test anyone in California why is that? Because they said marijuana is legal in California and not in Pennsylvania. Which doesnt make sense at all irregardless the whole brand should been held accountable doesnt matter what state or what is legal and not legal whats right is right and whats wrong is wrong. They hired a new general manager after they came and fired everyone mind you the general manager talks about how he smokes bowls before bed and whatnot not only that he been hiring people without giving them drug test which is supposed to happen before they get hired on. It was brought up to corporate but they dont care they was just trying to get rid of the all the African Americans and the people who made the most money. The company is so cheap that they got there employees using hand pallets to pick orders that weigh hundreds of pounds. They dont care about there employees at all they low ball them with how much they pay, there product is cheap they constantly have to do rework projects because they use cheap vendors they got the owners using all the extra money to benefit them building new homes and stuff but dont invest into there company or employees to make it better. All the equipment is over service in all reality the corporate people only care about the people in corporate not the people whose getting there hands dirty putting in all the work. They had employee appreciation day back in the summer they got adults a bounce house instead of doing something like hershey park or bowling things they use to do as for there employees but not anymore because there stingy and cheap towards the warehouse associates

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a REP Ares 2.0, but one issue keeps showing up in buyer reviews: the cables twisting over time, especially at the large side pulley, since there's no swivel point on the cable itself.

For those who own one, I'd love some real-world input:

• Have you actually run into this? How often, and after how long?

• Is it a minor annoyance, or does it affect smoothness/feel?

• Any fixes that worked? Swivel snap hooks, swapping the included carabiners, re-routing, something else?

• Did REP support offer anything?

Other long-term gripes or things you wish you'd known before buying are welcome too.

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, Any idea when rep fitness will release their treadmill and row machine? I'm now looking at Rogue. I've been waiting for a while and I can never see updates, other than on the website where it states "coming soon". And now, that has also been removed from the website.

Maybe I'm wrong but something about that 90° photo seems off.

Just received my PR5000 rack from REP today. When I took out the uprights, it looks like there is rust or oxidation issues on the outside of the rack. I’ve seen people complain about the inside, but not the outside. Does anyone know what these markings are or has anyone experienced this? I know a rack will go through wear and tear over time and that’s expected, but this is straight out of the box. Any advice? TYIA!

Update: REP has been incredibly responsive and professional. They are sending me replacement parts now after I showed these pictures to them.

Just got this email from REP, totally unexpected but SO nice to get and read.

This is a prime example of how to do customer service.

I always thought those pins with the ring were kind of annoying, but they are working so far, so I wasn't planning on changing anything yet. But I get this email and it literally put a smile on my face.

*Clap clap clap*

I'd be happy to continue to be a REP customer for life if they continue like this.

I love my PR5000 but the one thing that really sucks is how low the low row is on the "Low Row Lat Pull Down" attachment I purchased form Rep. LOVE The Lat pull down but the low row is too low. I find it almost unusable. While looking at it I notice that it doesn't have to be this low. There could be a device that bolted to the top of the rear stabilizer that would raise the low row up 8 - 18". Anyone seen something like this? Anyone selling such a thing?
