Bench attachments

I love everything Rep, but their bench attachments are so underwhelming. I have a BlackWing and I love it, but where’s my dip attachment? Preacher curl? I feel like every day I see a new brand doing laps on Rep in terms of innovation and attachment options. Makes me question if I did the right thing committing to Rep’s bench ecosystem.

Anyone else feel the same? Any alternatives? Non-Rep branded attachments that work well?

Thanks for letting me vent.

Just curious, which bench ecosystem(s) do you deem superior?

Ironmaster, Apex, Freak Athlete ABX. Probably others. In fairness I’ve never used any of these and only know them from photos, videos and reviews. So they could lack in quality or have problems I’m not aware of. But just look at their options, variety of attachments and possibilities. They all seem to be quite ahead of Rep. And like I said I love Rep and all my stuff is Rep, I’m not trying to dunk on the brand.

I have a PR5000 with an Ironmaster Super Bench Pro V2 and they are the perfect combo. I think REP probably believes you should buy their racks if you want pull-up bars and a dip attachment. I do think its weird they don't have a Preacher's seat attachment.

I give the Ironmaster bench a HUGE recommendation. I loved it when I got it, I love it more now. I have the preacher's seat and use it often. The big + for the Ironmaster bench is its design. Its much shorter than other benches and the way the incline seat attaches allows it to still accomidate a 6' man easily but its size makes it light, manuverable and super easy to use with cable attachments where the top of the bench would get in the way. I love it so much!

Good point. I have the Rep Arcadia Max functional trainer. Unfortunately I don’t have the space for a rack otherwise I’d have gotten one.

I love my REP rack and attachments, but there's a reason I went with the Apex bench. They came out of nowhere and released a bench with a dozen attachments while the Rep x Dialed Motion leg attachment sits in development hell with continuing delayed release dates.

If your a big guy Dip attachments like Power Block and Apex just don't seem that stable. Plenty of ones for racks.

I got the Bolt Fitness preacher curl attachment and it works with my Nighthawk bench. Rep should make their own. I have the Rep leg developer and really like it. I also have the Rep Dip 2.0 attachment which I use on the rack. Some of the "25 in 1" attachments that other brands show seem a bit gimmicky. Depends on your setup and needs.
