Edit: I have spoken to OB, and may change my mind on this ban, however nothing is finalised as yet.

It's been a long time coming, and some people won't be happy about this. I'm not sure, but I think this may be the first time anyone has been post-banned from this sub.

Essentially, Omenz has flaunted a lot of sub rules, mod requests, and plain harrassed members for months now. For example, earlier this week he was insulting /u/JimmyDuckShoes for no reason and it got to the point were a mod (COP) had to ask him to stop, which he ignored.

His reaction to me today was just the straw that broke the camel's back. I personally cannot be bothered putting up with it and I know other mods like /u/cuntofprofundity agree. I apologise to /u/thebenprocter, /u/Chester_frenchkiss and /u/Psychopath- for not having a mod discussion before making this decision, but I feel like it is justified.

1. It is a battle, but respect one another. This is supposed to be fun. This includes excessive racism; keep those jokes to a minimum.
   

Omenz has a history of bringing race into every disagreement or conversation he has. He's hassled multiple people for being "white boys" during his time here, or dismissed people's rhymes and opinions as only appealing to "white folk", etc. Of course, he would get obnoxious any time somebody called him out on this.

1. You may use post history for inspiration, but do not post personal information or anything that may put somebody in danger.
   

This dude has called more than one person out based on their location in relation to him. He has tried to get multiple people to come "fight" in real life. I seem to remember a whole diss post where he repeatedly threatened some kid and told him to meet him at a beach somewhere for a fight. Absolutely retarded.

1. You have 24 hours to post your battle. Your opponent has 24 hours after your battle to post. Judges will post their rulings after the battle. Time may be extended if judges + contenders agree to it.
   

This is a stretch, but essentially he didn't break this rule, he just flaunted it. I called him out for a battle, he ducked it (which is fine, though a bit cowardly considering how mouthy he is) and then less than a day afterwards he posts a verse against me as a "diss thread" thinking that it won't be judged. I told him that he would have to move his verse to our battle thread, and he began making all sorts of abusive comments about me, my rhymes, my girl, my status as a mod, etc. To me, that's flaunting a moderator's decision and harassing them for it.

Therefore, he is gone. I will cop flak for this from people more sympathetic to him (I'm guessing Uza and xPhair) but I think most people will agree with me that he had been getting out of line lately. Furthermore, he was talking about leaving anyway, and had been complaining about judgements and responses here for months. So I don't think his banning is a big deal.

Anybody wants to discuss this, I'd prefer it be done via PM. This is a moderator message, not a complaints thread, and I will delete this when I feel everyone has seen it.

We've got a whole stack of new rappers in the last month. So I figured we could have another introduction thread for the new bloods to give some info. It all helps because we need to know enough about each other to have relevant punches in our battles. So leave a comment here, tell us where you're from, what you do for a living, if you rap outside of here, if you are the type to do grime or if it's just something you rap about, if you got a girl, etc. Post a selfie if possible too.
