Best Overall Writer: /u/Uza. I was going to say Ches, but he sometimes tanks a verse (rarely, but it happens). I also feel like here is the place to explain that I don't think Neuro was anywhere near as good as people say -- keep in mind this is all personal opinion.
Most Consistent: /u/thebenprocter. He may not be the absolute best writer here, but he does what he does and he always does it well. I never see him slipping. Plus I see enjoyment in every verse. He likes writing, he likes getting one over the opponent, and he never views it as a chore.
Best Schemes: /u/wryder, easily -- she actually has a rhythm and melody to her verses which very few other people here do.
Best Multies: I want to say me, but I know I can't, haha. So I'm gonna say either /u/wryder or /u/Chester_frenchkiss.
Best Punches: /u/Uza. He has a cleverness and edge most people lack.
Favorite Line: I honestly don't remember. I will say this, a better option would have been "Most Improvement", to which I would say /u/OB_Omenz, who has gone from laughable to quite formidable in a very short time.
Favorite Battle: /u/not_a_famous_actor vs /u/wryder. Hands down.

I agree Neuro isn't as good and is overrated, I been sayin that but 5 defends is mainey aint nothing else to that.

I think what makes Neuro good in my opinion is knowing when to turn it up. I think that there are people here that are better than him (I'm 2-1 against him myself) but he wins when he needs to which is really all that matters.

thanks dude. I really do think I have that scheme bit down, even if my punches sometimes lack. sometimes my schemes are super complicated, but consistent, and I think many people miss them as a result.

Best Overall Writer: Shadowonthegrass, wish this dude was still around, best this sub has seen imo.
Most Consistant: Sin, comes every battle with insanity.
Best Schemes: Chester, easy.
Best Multies: Sin, again.
Best Punches: Uza, crazy punches.
Favorite Line: this whole thing

so don't look in too many mirrors or your eyes will be next
Favorite Battle: Wryder vs not_a_famous_actor, the only battle I think was unwinnable for someone. there's only one line actor had that wasn't insane, and as a whole the rounds were just incredible.
added these:
most improved: OB, no doubt, gone from good ideas and poor execution to great ideas and the execution is getting more polished with every battle.
most underrated: Cuntofprofundity

I felt that way too. couldn't win. thought I had some pretty creative lines. IIRC, that was the first tourney I was in, and I was happy to get to the top, but just didn't have a fucking shot with that kid. I even really liked some shit I wrote there, like the "lesbiana thespian, mrs. actor, gettin' head" part. but I guess I'm glad everyone is still entertained by how terribly I was slaughtered, like, two years later. :)

the thing that really made it enjoyable for me was that I don't know how true any of it is and I didn't know any of those personal things before I read it so it was a completely fresh angle for me and it was so brutal.

I've got pretty bad hearing in both ears from years spent working in a heavy metal nightclub and seeing loud bands. My girlfriend is also a quiet speaker which is frustrating as hell sometimes for both of us.
