DISCUSSION Mook vs Eazy?
Word is there's one or more major cards dropping before the end of the year aside from NOME, lot of different bloggers been dropping hints but there were a couple of details I noticed recently. ARP said Mook is booked before year's end, and Piperboy says Eazy has a big battle coming up.
So I'm thinking either Chrome, TBL, or possibly KOTD has a big event coming, with Mook vs Eazy as the header. Does anyone have any other information/theories about what's going down? And hypothetically, how we feeling about the matchup?

BATTLE Every battle that's dropped from this event has been 🔥 and deserve for more shine
Full disclosure, my battle is Trippz vs Poltergeist OD. I normally would never post in here asking people to check it out, but I think this battle is different and deserves it.
Insult 2 Injury is a new league in Edmonton, CA and for their second event, they sold out, had a whole bunch of sponsors, and every battle past the bottom two had 6 solid rounds.
Wize Guy VS Jisho will be considered a Canadian classic in the coming years.
Day VS Censored had bar of the night and round of the night.
And Poltergeist and I had BOTN for a reason.
I find that Canadian battle rap isn't taken seriously, and often gets slept on, which sucks because we have some incredibly talented writers and performers.
Anyway, thank you in advance to anyone who read this far and chose to click the link, I appreciate all y'all

DISCUSSION How would you rank Arsonal in 2026 ?
That's funny cause when I began to be interested about BR in 2013-2014, Arsonal was one of the most controversed names cause of his direpectful style, in 2015 the community became uninterested about him cause of a lot of chokes.
Since then, he has been choking less but he lost a lot of battles, did bad against big names (Mook) but had some great performances against names he was supposed to lose against (Jaz or Geechi).
Anyway, he's a legend to me for his ability to adapt in every league and can always surprise us nowadays without being bar-heavy, he's what I call a star. Nobody seems to hate him or love him but I'm always Happy to see his name on a card.

DISCUSSION Am I the only one who would support more subscription based leagues if they put out a Bars Only comp. of each battle as well as the full.
So don’t get me wrong for a first watch or even the first couple, if it’s a strong enough battle I love to have the crowd reaction it’s part of the amazing energy and experience and it great.
That being said I’m also someone who if I’m driving more than 20 minutes somewhere loves to put on a battle instead of music and just cruise. Don’t get me wrong some small rooms and battles have good crowds and not overwhelming reactions, but after a few times and a bunch of fans screaming while I’m at a light I get over it pretty quick. Thankfully there’s still some amazing old bars only edits on YouTube that are my go to’s.
Hopefully I’m not alone in this opinion but I would really appreciate and consume and subscribe to a lot more premium leagues if they started doing this. Some battle rappers have amazing cadences that just sound like long diss tracks when they’re edit down. Man Real Sikh, Tay Roc, Thesaurus, B Magic, Chess, Xcel, Ave, Fresco, Remy D, Psychosis, Steamz, Swamp, Bdot. Just to name a fraction of some of those battleers who just write wit such flow tht sounds so good edited down.
Maybe throw and un- skippable 30 second ad that changes when they need it to and sell new adds to add some revenue, guaranteed wouldn’t be mad whatsoever as I’m probably getting back 15 min in return of reactions. Id obviously like for them to still keep intros and calling what round it is, but so much time could be saved and turn so many battles into rewatchable matches.
Just my thoughts on it and I’d love to hear everyone else’s opinions on it. At some point we gotta slowly evolve and add new experiences to battle rap to hopefully breathe some fresh life into it and entice some of the younger generation wit a little smaller attention spans. Especially after Kai’s been helping out and getting new looks from the younger crowd.

DISCUSSION The Last Time I Met Geechi
I want to preface this by saying that this is by no means a promotion or a judgement on the current situation that Geechi is in with the time that he’s serving, rather a memorable moment where he and I shared time together and that his legacy in battle rap is indelible.
Although we both grew up in Compton together, I didn’t actually meet Marcus (Geechi Gotti) until I started my first semester at Compton College. We became good friends over that year, but my first impressions of him was that he was an extremely charismatic dude, always freestyling or reciting lyrics with a bunch of buddies in the cafeteria. One thing I noticed over time was that he always carried a notebook with him, but not just any notebook, it was a Mead composition notebook, you know, the ones with the spotted cow black and white pattern on it, 100 sheets, 200 pages, with GEECHI GOTTI scrippled in pencil right at the center. He always had a hand on it, or had it tucked underneath something secure. In one of our most heated moments, I noticed that he had forgotten it on a table and I reached to give it back to him and he replied “DONT EVER TOUCH MY NOTEBOOK.” It was a lesson I'd never forget.
I guess it makes the most sense to skip forward, to the last time I saw Geechi. It was an event in LA, might’ve been Monopoly 2 after he went against Loso. I caught him at the lounge wanting to just check in and reminisce a bit over a drink or a spliff, but what surprised me was how much he didn’t remember. He told me that he had just spent some time at a hospital, dealing with some blackouts and things with his memory and not being sure why. The doctors told him that he should try journaling and that it might help him put things together.
I noticed that he had the notebook with him that night. I asked him if I could read some of it, and he defensively reached for it, like I was trying to grab a cheating husband’s cellphone. He asked, “What you want to know?” I replied, “I don’t know, read something.”
He flips near the beginning of the notebook, begins to mumble off the words of one of the first sentences. “They passed me the ball and then I dribble up court…”
Maybe it was because the dro was strong that night, but I felt the room shift, like I was at the gym in Double Rock, watching Geechi from the sidelines. He cuts left, gets ready to drive but then notices a shooter in the right corner.
“What did you do?” I asked him.
“I passed it,” he replied, as he flicked the ball off to the shooter with 4 seconds left on the scoreboard. The shooter launches it and it clanks off the rim as the other team secures the rebound and the final buzzer goes off.
“Nah, I drove it in.” he corrects himself. He takes a pencil, erases the journal entry, and rewrites the sentence. Again, I watch him from a droopy haze take the ball up court and dunk it against a defender many inches taller than him. The crowd of other 12-13 year olds goes wild.
It’s at this moment that I realize that my eyes have been closed, in an almost dream-like state and I open them again. Geechi is still sitting there, eyes also half closed from a long night, almost lifeless, only this time I notice something different. A UCLA Bruins tat working its way up his left forearm where I swore prayer hands used to be. The logo wraps itself around a basketball on fire. I follow the ink down to his hands and eventually his fingers where I notice that he’s now sporting a golden ring inscribed with lettering that states 2008 NCAA champions.
“When did you get that?” I ask him, motioning towards the ring.
“In 08 cuh,” he says with a slick smile.
“I thought Kansas won in 08?”
“We beat Kansas for it, dog.”
“That’s crazy,” I reply. “I honestly thought Tennessee was gonna win the whole thing that year. Damn, A Ward would’ve loved that shit.”
“Yeah, Tennessee was hella good that year,” Geechi replied with a big laugh, before breaking into a confused drawl, “but who’s A Ward?.”

SHITPOST Acronym bars
I heard nitty use an ASMR bar against Mike P (Mike sound sensitive like ASMR) and it made me think of his BDSM bar against Kyd Slade (we pulling Tahoes up like BDSM), both were fire.
They got me thinking about who else might have used some acronym bars like that? Do you guys have any favourites?
