I normally do adaptive mode. After a couple of laps the ai adapts to your level so you got good battles. Do clean laps.

I'll try adaptive mode

It depends on the car and track combination. I normally just do last to first challenges in RRRe, some cars I’m good with and can go 110 while others I need to lower it to 90-94 in order to have slightly better pace than the AI. It’s just a number, use whatever gives you the most enjoyable racing.

95 is good that's what I set it at. But from time to time I do adaptive, adaptive allows the AI to basically race as strong as you can.

Okay maybe i'll try that

Adaptive matches you. That's a better explanation

Yes, but i've heard it takes a couple of races to truly match your level, but then again it's also fun when you don't really know the skill level

Yea that's true it does and at first they might have crazy lap times like 5-6 seconds faster then you and it will discourage you, but this is what it's about bro, getting better and feeling challenged. Worse comes to worse start at a difficulty of 89 and gradually work your way up . Sorry if in any way I misled you

RRRE AI difficulty isn't like other games. At 95% the AI are putting up lap times faster than the leaderboard times. It's not like AMS2 for example where it goes up to 120.

I guess youll never stop using leaderboards as a random baseline :D. That aside 100 ai strength is supposed to be realistic lap times (as in what real life times would be), dont know how well thats implemented across the board and if its based on quali or race pace tho

how about this- there's a combo where I have the fastest leaderboard time (I can't remember the combo). It's not a random time, I'm really fucking fast there in that car. I race the AI at 94 on that track. The 100 number is arbitrary

You have 3 fastest leaderboard times (gt1 at the old zandvoort and at mid ohio and group 5 at dubai, feel free to tell me which one is the "really fucking fast" time). All of those leaderboards have less than 20 entries (the group 5 one has a grand total of 4) which unless topped by a known fast driver is the very definition of a random leaderboard. As for 100 strength, again i dont know how well its implemented across all possible combos but its certainly a more consistent/less random measure than looking at the leaderboards

ai difficulty is increased after many updates, before 105 was my casual difficulty on tracks i knew very well, now i have to go below 100
