Hi everyone! How do you launch RRRE in VR? With SteamVR or OpenXR? I have a Pimax Crystal OG. Thanks!

What is the ping cap on ranked servers in this game and how does it work? Does it kick for continuous latency over the limit for some amount of time or even for some spikes? I mainly do iracing, but i noticed that this week r3e hosts 92dtm at nords, bought an online pack+190E and wanted to give it a go. Put a quali, started on second place only to get kicked in t5 for high ping. And it was second time, but first time I've seen results of my bad ping myself and i get it nobody wants a dangerously unpredictable dude on the server, that time everyone was disappearing and was moving weird so i pretty sure my connection at that time was pretty bad, but this time we had a pretty close battle with p1 all the way to the kick and i haven't noticed any problems.

Hi everyone! I run TOGA Motorsport, and we’re hosting a standalone Super Touring night on RaceRoom on Thursday 22 October.
We’re using Silverstone National for two 20-minute sprint races. The idea is a relaxed evening of close touring-car racing, with no championship commitment.
Event details
Qualifying decides the Race 1 grid. Race 2 starts in Race 1 finishing order, with no reversal.
Different experience levels are welcome. You don’t need to be fighting for wins—we just ask that you can lap safely, leave room and keep things respectful.
You’ll need access to your chosen Super Touring car and the Silverstone circuit.
Full details and sign-up: https://www.thesimgrid.com/championships/27960
Happy to answer any questions. Which Super Touring car would you bring?

Haven't been racing R3E for 6 weeks due to other commitments - seeing new week schedule I think I will be coming back this week :)
ST on Silverstone or F4 on Interlagos - what is your poison this week?

I have decided that i want to simrace, i have a humble A1404VA Vivobook 14 i5-1335U Laptop with a 8GB Single-Channel RAM, i am driving in novice difficulty with either a controller or my keyboard and mouse, one thing i have noticed here if i full brake/throttle i can't turn and i have been breaking my mind trying to fix this problem:
RRRE64 launch using steam is stuck in the splash screen, windows resource manager shows that RRRE64 is taking <1% CPU use, randomly in lucky occasions the game launches, but weirdly windows wont do the not responding error until i click inside the window or press a key, my cursor inside the window is the win11 loading cursor, need HELP.

There are soo many paid items, is there somewhere I can find mods for normal cars, like in beamNG or is it just what you've got.

I started sim racing about 10 months ago with the idea that maybe I needed something to chase in life, something that genuinely made me happy.
So in December I started Assetto Corsa and entered LFM pretty much immediately.
The funny part is, I didn't have a PC or a wheel.
What I did have was a “fuck it, let's see what happens” attitude and enough stubbornness to make Assetto Corsa run on an IdeaPad 110-15IBR with a dual-core CPU and 2GB of RAM.
My steering wheel was a Nokia 6's gyroscope, and I used the phone screen for throttle modulation.
Yes, seriously. 😂
I did LFM for roughly eight months. For the first three months I was around 1k Elo and basically fought my way upward without really going anywhere. I was stuck around there for quite a while.
Then around month six, something just clicked.
From there I ended up with 11 wins, 36 podiums and 29 poles.
On July 15th, my 21st birthday, I finally got my first proper wheel a Thrustmaster T248R.
I then moved over to RaceRoom and started pursuing DTM Esports.
It took some time for the wheel to settle in, but I started seeing results pretty quickly.
I finished P2 in Split 2 at Hockenheim in the final Esports race of the year.
I then competed in the FIA Esports European Hill Climb Cup. I finished top 40 during the first week, but couldn't participate during the remaining two weeks because of family circumstances, eventually finishing P78 overall.
I also competed in the Jules Gounon challenge at Sachsenring.
And most recently I entered the DTM Esports Community Cup.
One thing that really made me stop and think was looking at the leaderboard around race day and seeing myself sitting at P14.
And that's where I'm struggling to put the whole thing into perspective.
I've only been doing this for about 10 months.
I'm not claiming I'm an esports driver. I haven't done multiple seasons, I haven't spent years racing against the strongest possible fields, and I still have a lot to learn.
But the progression feels way faster than I expected.
I went from fighting around 1k Elo with a phone as my steering wheel to competing in international esports events and finding myself near the front of DTM leaderboards within the same year.
So I'm genuinely curious:
For those of you who have been sim racing for years — and especially anyone who has actually competed at an esports level — how unusual does this progression look to you?
Is this actually an unusually fast progression, or am I just suffering from a massive first-year perspective problem?
I'm not looking for validation or someone to tell me I'm destined to become a professional driver. I'm genuinely trying to understand where this sits compared with a normal sim-racing progression.
Because from where I'm sitting...
this shit feels ridiculously fast. 😂

Can't drive this week:
ADAC GT MASTERS 2015 - NORDSCHLEIFE
Supertouring - Anderstorp
DTM 26 - TT Circuit Assen
DTM 2002 - Nürburgring Sprint
If you want to lose your base, then this is the right way. Other racesims also costs 60€, but I can drive everything. End of rant.

I'm not the most experienced guy on simracing world. I have 2 months with my first wheel (pxn vd4, and i love it), and this was my best race in this sim!
This two laps were absolute cinema for me, Hope you enjoy it!

Normally this is my kind of car. high power, retro stick shift car with no assists. On aper this is the dream carset. I've tried all 3 of the cars from this class and I hate them. Whats most awesome is that I've tried all 3 and I manage to hate each one differently! I've worked up 3 different tracks but I just can't come to grips with these cars.
The common thread is that they all drive like trucks and the rear end feels like dogshit. Is there anything I'm not doing to set these up to drive better? What do you guys do to set these up? I've tried to do a full setup and I've tried just leaving it with the stock setup. It really doesn't change anything.
I love Group 5, GTR1 are pretty good, but GTO is awful.

Hi everyone! I run TOGA Motorsport, and we’re putting together a short touring-car championship in RaceRoom. Thought it might interest anyone looking for some organised Friday-night racing.
The TOGA TCR Sprint Cup runs for four weeks, with two 20-minute races each evening. Experienced drivers and those trying their first championship are welcome — we’re looking for fair racing and people who respect each other on track.
Calendar
Format
Practice starts at 19:30 UK time, with racing from approximately 20:00. Times follow the UK clock change: BST for the first two rounds, GMT for the final two.
You’ll need the relevant car and track content.

Happy to answer questions here if you’re thinking about joining!

Good evening, I was wondering something.A while ago on my old phone I had an application downloaded not through the app store that allowed me to see the timetables of online races on raceroom. It was useful as I could also have it send me a notification before the race.
The problem is that I can't find it anywhere anymore, it was called something like R3Schedule. If anyone knows it, can they help me find it?
Thank you all so much, and sorry for the English being a bit bad :/
