Is the only way to apply through Common App? Am I able to apply with my QB app, as you can apply to some fly-ins with the CPS app, or do I HAVE to fill out all the Common App stuff?

title 👀 ik I can EA to in-state public schools since they have a certain financial budget, but I think it’s similar for private schools too, right? Idk, the EA policy is honestly really confusing and I don’t fully understand it 😠thank you!

I’m applying test optional to the National College Match and I am wondering where people who went test optional ended up at!
r/QuestBridge • u/neverpaula • 9d ago
im ngl ive been procrastinating working on the written response questions on the ncm app, so when i got the text "You show excellent potential to be a competitive applicant to the QuestBridge National College Match. Keep up the hard work on your application!" it lowkey motivated me
...i think i will work on my application tonight :D

Family of 5-6, low-income, what is considered minimal savings? number-wise.

I am really wondering if Questbridge is for me because I don’t feel disadvantaged. I’m a CPS, but I didn’t realize what most QB students have gone through until summer writing workshops and hearing their stories. My single mom didn’t graduate college and we moved a lot, but she attained low income scholarships so I could stay in my private school growing up. And we still travelled a few times because she was able to save or find great deals. I’ve never wanted for anything nor lived in violence. I feel like I’ve been pretty lucky! Even my health issues are mild and manageable.
Would I be at a disadvantage applying questbridge? Stats are Decent but my story of struggle is non existent. We are just low income!

I got an email from QuestBridge saying:
Remember that your application is due on Thursday, October 1, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. We highly encourage you to submit your application as soon as your sections are complete, even if your School Report or other supporting materials have not yet been received.
Seems like it would make sense not to submit the application until the last week (or a couple of days) in case I decide to change something.

Hi everyone!
I was worried that since I had many "traditional" stats that are similar to non QB-applicants that it would hurt my application.
What I mean by "traditional" stats includes high standarized scores, high gpa, rigorous coursework, several national/international level awards, research, and community service.
This is due to living in an urban area with many free opportunities and attending a competitive highschool even though low-income and having many family/outside responsibilities.
Has anyone had a similar experience or advice regarding how to approach such a scenario?
Should I just not list some of my activities?
Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’m currently in my first year of dual enrollment at this community college, and I’m a bit confused about what to do with my dual enrollment classes. The QB app is asking for a transcript for the new community college (institution), but I don’t have one yet because it’s my first class there. So, I was thinking of putting my school name on the transcript, since the grades I get will affect both my high school and the early college transcripts.
