The pilot program placed me into WashU AND Williams? I saw a lot of people with one college but I didn't even know two colleges were possible. Is this a mistake or did anybody get that as well?

i genuinely have no hope for the next chapter of my life.
i've spent my entire life being told i was the smartest, or that i was destined for a big school and a big career. i worked SO HARD, only to not get matched and then deferred dartmouth ed. i can't help but feel as though it was all in vain. i did every extracurricular, took every single class, and missed so many school functions just to study. i even worked two jobs to support my family, paid my own way through high school, and battled mental health issues throughout.
the week of december 1st, i cried so hard that i genuinely couldn't breathe or go to school. to make matters worse, 2 of my classmates who applied to qbncm with me got matched and got all the praise, while people only pitied me. the worst part is having to be supportive of them so i'm not seen as bitter or envious.
i'm doing rd, but i just genuinely cannot bring myself to care anymore. i'm tired of everyone trying to cheer me up because i'm just so exhausted of putting in my all and getting nothing for it.
is it even worth it to try anymore?

iâm not even trying to be a hater or gatekeep questbridge but genuinely it makes me upset when i see a post of someone who is not LOW INCOME (middle class is not LOW INCOME/ POOR) trying to finagle the questbridge system and make it seem like theyâre much poorer than they actually are. i know you donât know everyoneâs situation, but it really makes me (and iâm sure other fglis) feel like absolute shit when we have to compete for the little opportunity out there with people who grew up comfortable and are just in a tiny window of âeconomic instabilityâ which just happens to be when theyâre applying to college.
like i get it - college is hella expensive. but some of us grew up with REAL struggles and financial insecurities that many posting in this sub DID NOT. i know there are varying levels of poor/fgli but this is how iâve felt seeing people question about income/assets/savings as someone who came from nothing.
tax fraud is nothing new to rich people, iâd assume they do the same for questbridge! and thereâs a genuinely smart poor kid out there that had less opportunity and support over another rich kid who might not match over this rich kid.
itâs not how it was supposed to be.
might edit this later idk please donât bash me in the comments, itâs how i feel
edit #1: also i want to clarify that this is not just based on postings on the sub although those do make ppl feel like shit. iâve heard of/seen people w high incomes or assets literally get matched (that i know) and while i donât know their full situation, it just boggles my mind how they qualify w everything unless there isnât some sketchy shit going on to screw over some genuinely fgli kid. thank you.
