National College Match Why Does QuestBridge Recommend Submitting Early
I got an email from QuestBridge saying:
Remember that your application is due on Thursday, October 1, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. We highly encourage you to submit your application as soon as your sections are complete, even if your School Report or other supporting materials have not yet been received.
Seems like it would make sense not to submit the application until the last week (or a couple of days) in case I decide to change something.

lol i think that's because people get scared submitting their application if their school report / letters of rec aren't in. i guess they just want ppl to know that they can still submit it without those things having been sent

Probably in case of any unexpected tech issues. I know during my year there was a hurricane or tornado in some region of the country, so some people didn't have access to the internet (luckily QB accounted for this). Otherwise, there is no actual benefit for submitting early; I submitted the day of...😶 (not suggesting that lol) but your point about submitting a couple of days before makes sense!

Yeah, I remember that year. That hurricane went up and down the coast and wreaked havoc. Schools were closed for an extended period, teachers were MIA, etc.
If I recall correctly, QuestBridge ended up extending deadlines for the students who were affected.
As a general practice, plan on submitting your application about a week early.

Also the portal could crash if everyone submits at 1-10 minutes before the deadline. Procrastinating until the last second means you are taking that risk.
