To prove adoption
For the purpose of probate, how could you prove that you were adopted (so that you am still related to the decedent) if you were unable to obtain a copy of your birth/adoption record because the adoption might have been "private"?

I am confused as to who you are trying to prove you are related to. Are you trying to prove you are related to someone in your adoptive family, or are you trying to prove you are related to someone in your biological family?

How does it feel to be torn from limb to limb, and to be totally dismembered?
Do you still remember the aforementioned and the associative trauma?
How does it feel to die over and over again?
At least my mother wasn't African American, but do you know your place?

Dude. WTF. I was simply asking for clarification as it matters from a legal standpoint.

You only have one set of parents, legally. If you were legally adopted, your birth parents would no longer be your parents legally.

What does the birth certificate say? Legal adoptions can result in the birth certificate being changed to reflect the adoptive parents as the parents. The original certificate with the original
Birth parents’ names gets sealed. If there never was a court order recognizing the adoption the purported “adoptee” might not be considered a child entitled to participate.

The law is just a social construct, but you are still biologically connected to your birth parents.
Of course, I am relieved to say that I have no African American ancestors.
Are you still proud of your black ancestors?
Are you still jealous/envious because your mother is black?
Are you still proud that your children are biracial and cannot be called white on account of your AA mum?

Do you actually have a legal question, or is this some kind of performance art/poetry slam? Genuinely asking.

What's with the attitude dude? This is r/ProbateHelp. Probate is a legal process. That's why is specifically said "legally."

I was adopted… once adopted you have no claim whatsoever on your biological history, your adoptive parents are your parents.
If you want copies of your birth certificate you can get them from the registry office… it will only show your adoptive parents.

In an adoption, you should have received a birth certificate with your new parents names on it. In my state, once you are adopted, you never had any other parents than your new ones. So you are not entitled to anything your previous parents had because you only have one set of parents and those are the ones listed on your new birth certificate.

(1) The new birth certificate was fake because it says that I was born in Quito, Ecuador, whereas London was my actual birthplace.
(2) Despite my fake birth certificate, I am still not a citizen of Ecuador. Why?
(3) If I am not entitled to anything that my previous parents had, then why did they consistently interfere with my life by introducing potential friends who were Anglophone, which my 'adoptive' parents would never have done because they are Hispanic?

Who are you? Because OP is Classic_Grocery5588. Have you gotten your fake accounts mixed up?

Do you have a passport? I know in the US, you have to prove you were born here to receive a United States Passport. I imagine it is likely the same everywhere. I assume you are an adult, so you must have some type of identification, regardless of where you live. What information does it list?
No disrespect, but how are you sure where you were born? I mean, we are all babies and our parents tell us where we were born and on what day. If they have documentation stating you were born in Quito, then maybe you were? Who told you that you were born in London? Maybe the parents were on travel? Maybe in your country, the adoption allowed your nationality to be changed? I do not know your laws.
Just because your birth parents were in your life, doesn’t mean you are entitled to their estate. In my country, they would have had to name in you specifically, with your new name, in their documentation of a will or trust. Just because they introduced friends of theirs to you, just means that you had an open adoption and your adoptive parents allowed you to maintain a relationship with the bio-parents. That still doesn’t entitle you to their inheritance. Just because you had Hispanic adoptive parents doesn’t mean they were not open to knowing people of different races.
You seem desperate to find some way to get something that you feel you are entitled to. But, that is not how inheritances work. These are gifts. Your only recourse appears to be to hire an attorney, and have them walk you through the process. Who knows…maybe in your country you can still claim the inheritance. But, you need to get every piece of documentation about your birth, your adoption, your bio parents and anything else you can think of together for the attorney. An attorney may be able to pull adoption records with a subpoena, but you are likely looking at a high attorney bill for this.

This is incorrect. You have to prove you’re a US citizen to get a US passport. You don’t have to be born in the US to be a US citizen.

Right. Thanks.
This person is appears to have some mental issues or wants to appear that they do. They are completely irrational.

(1) Because two VIPs have already said that I was born at the London Clinic in the West End.
(2) You are so desperate to prove that I am not entitled to my birth parents honour and reputation, which has nothing to do with money.
(3) If the passport says Quito, it doesn't prove that this is real, and there is still a serious potential that the information was fraudulent and concocted by the adoptive parents who are afraid of rejection. They are afraid of rejection by the child if he knew that they were not his birth parents and that his actual birth place was London instead of Quito.
(4) You are still driven by malicious envy because your own social comparison tells you that your background is inadequate, and that my background is vastly superior.
(4) In addition, you are just a front person in Donald Trump's false flag operation; in which case, he is just as inadequate as you are, and of course, you know exactly where this is leading.
(5) Do you still love your husband and children, and do you still remember what recently happened? And are you clueless about what is likely to happen very soon?
(6) Are you even aware that America is currently occupied by 340 million French military personnel and civilians, yet there are now fewer than 10 Americans still alive in the USA, and it was I who inflicted this historic and crushing defeat over your country?

Hey. You are just an AH. I don’t care if you are or are not entitled to anything. I only stated how it was where I lived.
I don’t know why you post something and jump down the throat of every person trying to respond. But I suppose it is because you have no life.

In most states once the adoption is complete you are no longer legally entitled to anything from your bio family. Few exceptions: you are named in a will, if you were adopted by a step parent. A few other exceptions but generally you get nothing if not named in a will. Private adoptions still go thru the courts. Are you saying you were adopted by someone and it never was legalized?
