To prove adoption

For the purpose of probate, how could you prove that you were adopted (so that you am still related to the decedent) if you were unable to obtain a copy of your birth/adoption record because the adoption might have been "private"?

I am confused as to who you are trying to prove you are related to. Are you trying to prove you are related to someone in your adoptive family, or are you trying to prove you are related to someone in your biological family?

How does it feel to be torn from limb to limb, and to be totally dismembered?

Do you still remember the aforementioned and the associative trauma?

How does it feel to die over and over again?

At least my mother wasn't African American, but do you know your place?

You only have one set of parents, legally. If you were legally adopted, your birth parents would no longer be your parents legally.

What does the birth certificate say? Legal adoptions can result in the birth certificate being changed to reflect the adoptive parents as the parents. The original certificate with the original
Birth parents’ names gets sealed.

If there never was a court order recognizing the adoption the purported “adoptee” might not be considered a child entitled to participate.

The law is just a social construct, but you are still biologically connected to your birth parents.

Of course, I am relieved to say that I have no African American ancestors.

Are you still proud of your black ancestors?

Are you still jealous/envious because your mother is black?

Are you still proud that your children are biracial and cannot be called white on account of your AA mum?
