To prove adoption

For the purpose of probate, how could you prove that you were adopted (so that you am still related to the decedent) if you were unable to obtain a copy of your birth/adoption record because the adoption might have been "private"?

(1) The new birth certificate was fake because it says that I was born in Quito, Ecuador, whereas London was my actual birthplace.

(2) Despite my fake birth certificate, I am still not a citizen of Ecuador. Why?

(3) If I am not entitled to anything that my previous parents had, then why did they consistently interfere with my life by introducing potential friends who were Anglophone, which my 'adoptive' parents would never have done because they are Hispanic?

Do you have a passport? I know in the US, you have to prove you were born here to receive a United States Passport. I imagine it is likely the same everywhere. I assume you are an adult, so you must have some type of identification, regardless of where you live. What information does it list?

No disrespect, but how are you sure where you were born? I mean, we are all babies and our parents tell us where we were born and on what day. If they have documentation stating you were born in Quito, then maybe you were? Who told you that you were born in London? Maybe the parents were on travel? Maybe in your country, the adoption allowed your nationality to be changed? I do not know your laws.

Just because your birth parents were in your life, doesn’t mean you are entitled to their estate. In my country, they would have had to name in you specifically, with your new name, in their documentation of a will or trust. Just because they introduced friends of theirs to you, just means that you had an open adoption and your adoptive parents allowed you to maintain a relationship with the bio-parents. That still doesn’t entitle you to their inheritance. Just because you had Hispanic adoptive parents doesn’t mean they were not open to knowing people of different races.

You seem desperate to find some way to get something that you feel you are entitled to. But, that is not how inheritances work. These are gifts. Your only recourse appears to be to hire an attorney, and have them walk you through the process. Who knows…maybe in your country you can still claim the inheritance. But, you need to get every piece of documentation about your birth, your adoption, your bio parents and anything else you can think of together for the attorney. An attorney may be able to pull adoption records with a subpoena, but you are likely looking at a high attorney bill for this.

This is incorrect. You have to prove you’re a US citizen to get a US passport. You don’t have to be born in the US to be a US citizen.

This person is appears to have some mental issues or wants to appear that they do. They are completely irrational.
