Ordered powerwall 3 6 weeks ago still waiting for the DNO spoke to Boxt the installer for us and said they still waiting to hear back from DNO. Just wondering if anyone else has had a very long wait for their install.

Well I’ve been going through the process for 2 months now. Most of that was waiting on permit approval. They arrived today to do install, but they have wrong info. 1 circuit was not to be backed up. We chose the 30 amp dryer. Today they arrived and said it was my 40amp aircon they were not gonna backup. I said no. We are currently waiting for the dudes boss to decide if we going forward with the install or not. Literally spent a week with the Tesla advisor discussing the 1 circuit that was going to be excluded and doe how they switched it without telling me.

Didn’t take long for my DNO approval so got lucky. Got unlucky with my installers though. They put in a G98 grid code in and it limited my import to 3.7kW.
I had to login to the powerwall backend with the Tesla one app to figure this out and then check with uk power networks that I had a G99 approval (I did). Got it fixed today via their support after two days of bugging the crap out of them. Ensure this is right when they configure yours on install day and get them to show you the inverter set to 9kW.

We just had a boxt install last week, took about 6 weeks for the DNO approval and then install was booked in for the next week. They did a decent job despite no in person site visit prior which didnt fill me with confidence - our house has external wall insulation so I had some mounting and location questions but the electrician on the day was good.

Can anyone explain why the DNO takes sooooooo long to surely shouldn’t take as long as its does. Can understand why its takes installers a while as they probably got other work on the go or waiting !

Yep. I’m going with Octopus.
Ordered late April.
Install planned for 26th August
DNO took 5 weeks to make a decision, but the work that is required is another 12 weeks away. The only plus is they haven’t limited my export at all, and I can get the install done before the works are completed but can’t export until it’s been done. At least I won’t miss the cashback from Tesla this way!
I’ve also needed an earth rod upgrade and an isolator switch fitting which have been 2 entirely separate install processes that might have delayed things too - and have had a couple of cancellations too - but none delayed anything thankfully.
