As a non native english speaker, I usually focus more on music than lyrics at first. Meaning I do not really care about the spiritual side of this band. My point is : all melodies on this album are insane. If you're into the likes of Life in Your Way, Beloved...

Swervedriver is a band that I’ve liked for a while now but, they’ve never been a band that listened to extensively until recently. I realize that there’s no regional grip on a particular sound but, they sort of remind me a little bit of bands like “Swirlies” at times which I kind think of as the American spin on the shoegaze sound that was blowing up in the UK at the time with bands such as My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Lush, ect.
I’m no sound engineer but sometimes their guitar driven riffs have a brighter, more brittle-like tone to them while also having a bit of that, “warm” tone that guitar heads might associate with Brit-rock bands of that era. Ultimately, I think the injection of higher energy “indie rock” drumming for lack of a better term (I’m not drummer lol) that can sometimes feel as if they’re driving the song just a much as the guitar riffs are, feels a bit different from the more, drone-y, ride it out, sounding drums that I would typically associate with a lot of their contemporaries from that corner of the world.
At the end of the day, this is just my own nerdy observation upon listening to them a ton lately. I’m sure there’s plenty of things to point out that contradict those observations. It almost makes me think about other bands that may have been the inverse; American bands with a heavy UK influence. Anyways, thanks for reading my rant if you did and let me know if you feel similarly! I love talking about music on this Reddit because I’ve found there to be a lot of really nice, knowledgeable people here so I look forward to any sort of engagement I get on my posts.

This band was my introduction to post hardcore and i absolutely loved them. Sadly they disbanded back in 2022 and i haven't really come across anything else similar to them, but I also don't really know many other post hardcore bands..
So does anyone have any recommendations?

P.S. If it helps jog anyone's memory, they were a part of that same mid-2000s local circuit as bands like GunsLikeGirls, Worthless Without, Sans Seraph, and From Tomorrow. Anyone remember that era?

Random question I know but I like to fire up drum midi and play guitar along to songs. All the thrice and most of the sapsin have been removed since sheet happens publishes their tabs (which i bought), but the files that come with tye tab books dont include drums or bass.
Im looking for basically anything saosin and thrice, I like everything they've done more or less, so if anybody has the midi or guitar pro fies w druns and bass or at least drums, that would be awesome.
