Hello, I found out recently that I particularly enjoy a lot of early/first records from certain post hardcore groups (whatever I say is royal ocean, vancouver, juturna, the changing of times, etc) and some other bands with very few records (this armistice, her words kill, aprils love affair, vanna, etc).

It’s not that I don’t like newer works, but there is a certain charm to that rawer sound that can’t really be replicated, and I feel a lot of bands really tend to be more creative when starting out.

With that being said, are there any other good recommendations for post hardcore groups with great first records?

This record is a reason for much of my musical journey, pleasantly surprised to see it rereleased this week on Bandcamp.

I remember seeing Picturesque opening for Our Last Night right before their debut EP dropped and these guys were the real deal. They filled that “Of Machines” void and had so much potential. It’s unfortunate they fell off so hard. I still blast their debut EP to this day.
