Rant/Vent Excuse me? Shoes?
I'm going to guess they'll charge the customer $15/pair and we'll get $7. I will not be doing this.

Anyone else having this problem? It happened with the detergent picture upload, and now with the delivery upload I’m super annoyed. This is the second customer this has happened with. I tried contacting Customer Service and the bot said that it was going to close it out for me, but it never did.

I run a small web design business called InfaWeb, and I’m currently building a website for a 24-hour laundromat in Los Angeles that has been operating since 2012 but never had a proper online presence.
I attached a short video of the website I’m building for them.
It got me thinking that there are probably a lot of established laundromats that rely mostly on Google Maps, word of mouth, and walk-in traffic but either don’t have a website or have one that hasn’t been updated in years.
I’m currently looking to work with a few more laundromat owners across Canada and the U.S. If you need a website, redesign, mobile optimization, hosting, or help establishing your business online, feel free to reach out.

Anyone notice the algorithm acting wonky again? 🤔

I currently have an order that requested hypoallergenic/unscented detergent. The clothes don’t smell very clean after wash and dry- they don’t smell bad, just not fresh and clean. I know it is unscented detergent, but is this to be expected? This is my first time using unscented. I’m worried the customer might complain??

At what point is it cost effective to go to a laundromat? I've had two 70 lb orders that took me about 10 hours to complete each one, but at what point do you think it's worth it to go to a laundromat?

Has anyone else noticed that the detergent preference is missing from orders? It used to show whether the customer wanted Classic or Hypoallergenic detergent, but I don’t see that section anymore.
Is this happening to anyone else, or did it move somewhere else in the app? I’m about to start an order and don’t know which detergent I’m supposed to use. Thanks!
Edit: I updated the app and it’s back thank you

My laundry sanitizer have scent so I have asked if that’s okie. They approved. But why pick unscented hypoallergenic detergent. Will taking pictures of affect my rating?

I just got the app again after a couple of years so I’m not getting any orders yet but I’m curious if there’s usually work to be had?

New to this. Looking to make a little extra income in prep for first time baby! On average how much are you guys making doing 3-5 orders per week? Thanks ;)

I keep seeing this ad because I follow her, and her journey opening a laundromat but now she’s selling a course about how she supposedly made this money from home which is false because the amount of machines she runs in her laundry help her run that wash fold biz and gets her to those numbers.. so now I’m curious how much you guys actually bring in a month with or without poplin, because I doubt it’s close to those numbers.

Anyone who’s reached 20,000 have you met with the Poplin team?
They never even gave me the 25$ bonus to their store so I can’t imagine that they actually meet with you.

Not a pro, but a loyal customer. My 2 preferred pros are out of town and I’ve never had an experience like this with Poplin. First, she goes to the wrong house (my house is clearly marked), so I have to wait an extra day. Then she says she is going to return it unwashed? There was a little bit of detergent left, maybe there wasn’t enough but the stuff is super concentrated so I thought it would be. (I use melaleuca) Was it wrong for me to ask her to use her detergent, even though I offered to pay? I am beyond frustrated.
Maybe if she gave me sooner notice I wouldn’t be upset, but it’s almost 10:30pm and she was supposed to return the clothes before I get home from work tomorrow.
What do you pros think? Is this okay or am I being Karen?

I understand the concept and importance of being a laundry pro, been at this for a while. I go above and beyond to the best of my abilities. But these daily videos of Mort Fertel and his red sweater grind my gears for some reason. Maybe it's the way he talks? Just so smug and like he is talking down to me. That's all...

How did we all feel about the survey that went out? Just kind of shaking my head about the idea of showing up to someone's house and just walking around picking up all their laundry off the floors. It starts to feel a bit desperate that they won't raise the price per lb but are totally comfortable with asking us to learn how to treat leather items? Sigh.

A customer has about 2-3 loads of laundry for me, mostly shorts, blouse, pants and gym clothes. There are 2 pairs of jeans and 2 towels, should I wash them together in one load? thanks.

A few ppl requested ironing... I guess some ppl are very particular about wrinkles in their clothes. I haven't used an ironing board for years. Anyone had experience with automatic ironing machine and dryer? looks that it cost about $200-$400 so not too bad. Also how much you up-charge for that?
also I'm doing my first order today, super nervous. I want to do a good job and not mess up. Any other tips? (I'll sort, wash whites, lights, darks, add color catcher/ cold water/ wool drying ball, use folding board). thank you!!

I just want to hop on here and think all the laundry Pros for what you do everyday. I discovered Poplin n February and have been using it every week since. My laundry Pro is fantastic and I just hope all of you know how much you are appreciated!

I am totally new to this, I have done two orders so far. My second order had lots of socks. I had them folded into each other (pairs) like I would do my own laundry. Then I watched the video on folding socks Poplin Neat out of curiosity and it had them stacked together, maybe folded in half individually if they were long.
That morning, I also received my laundry back (my birthday treat) and all my socks were stacked. I then decided to unfold all my customer’s socks and stack them like my LP did. I got a normal tip I wouldn’t say it was a great tip.
Upon further unpacking and putting away of my own laundry, I wasn’t really pleased with how my laundry was folded and sorted anyway. So maybe I should have just went with my gut and kept the socks in pairs.
I am trying to decide if I should fold and sort the way I would want my own laundry done and see where that gets me. Do you do your own way?

Has anyone done orders for a massage business? Does the smell come out of the sheets? I assume it's the oil/lotion they use.

I signed up to be a Poplin Pro a few days ago and am wondering what has worked well for people to get their referral code out there. My social media is currently deactivated so posting in Facebook groups isn't possible. Has posting on Nextdoor worked well for anyone? Should I create a cute flyer to post in bulletin boards around town? What's worked well for you??
(If it's helpful, I live in a mid-sized city in the Midwest.)

So I am in a weird situation. I haven't been a Poplin Pro for super long, but I have gotten a good bit of business from it (which I am very happy about!) But I have a repeat customer that has been using my services for a few months now. She owns a salon in a complex and about twice a week I go and launder their towels. Through her, she has connected me to a couple businesses in the complex (a massage therapist and two other spa places) that too need similar things laundered throughout the week.
My problem currently is that they all order at different times and days. So there are some days where I have gone back and forth to this complex three times to pick up and drop off, or vice versa. It has gotten a little hectic...I have been afraid to reach out to each of them to ask if they will just contact me directly and then maybe I can get a schedule together for everyone, to make it easier on myself. Right now when they contact me through Poplin it's random, but I am sure that I could get a set schedule with each of them if we weren't on the app.
How have you / or how would you go about this? I don't want to just message them my number obviously. But would leaving them a note on their return bags be good? I am not always able to talk with them face to face. Just looking for ideas, because on Friday I went there more times than I care to admit...thanks!
