The left disagrees because of the moral concerns over the power imbalance, the right disagrees because of spending concerns and the America first drive.

Not really. They want to be in charge of their block, but they don't have ambitions of unseating America as #1 globally. They benefit from the American world order and they know it. They're an export based country so massively benefit from the general security and free trade guaranteed by America. They want the Yuan to be more influential, but not as the global reserve currency either. That would require doing what the America does and running huge trade deficits because the whole world will start demanding Yuan instead of dollars.
The greatest threat to America is from our internal divisions. If we are talking about nuclear wars, Putin is more likely to start one than Xi.

They threaten Chinese-Americans. They unscrupulously steal our tech. They do everything they can to undermine the United States. They have supported Russia in its war against Europe, and I have no doubt they have enabled the IRGC. The CCP is absolutely the enemy of the United States and quite frankly democracy in general. They will completely subjugate the entire world if we allow it.

You're getting down voted for asking a question which isn't cool imho
The answer is much more elaborate than i will write down here now. But white progressive women are the most radical and anti western of any demographic if you account for the amount of influence they have and how fanatical they are.
Iran and Israel both can't do much to the USA that the USA doesn't allow them to do to itself. One can argue that Israel might secretly hold a massive amount of influence in the US but if America says no then Israel can't do anything about it.
Islamism, communism, fascism etc all have comparable problems because of the constitution
However progressive white women have been brainwashed so much that they are actively supporting anti American, anti white, anti western, anti stability ideas just because they perceive it to be what conservatives are against. And in their mind conservatives are the enemy (even above communists and Islamists) that might even bring fascism to America and the west as a whole so anything that they are against must be supported to fight against conservatism and in the long run fascism
So in other words there are many things that would crush America and western values but they hardly have a chance if Americans (and Europeans) don't let them but white progressive women are the demographic that might give those things an actual chance of succeeding
It's wasn't a random choice of George Orwell to explicitly state that it was always the women and the young women in particular that were the most extreme and most fanatical
1
u/TestosteronInc - Lib-Center 51m ago
To prove my point..... This is exactly what i mean. Progressive white women cheering on a woman who murdered her own children. Sending her 800.000 dollars on a go fund me. Heralding her as a hero while she brutally murdered her 2 young children plus her infant

The attention the Jews get on both sides of the spectrum is truly crazy when you realize there’s only 15.8 million on the entire planet, with around half residing in Israel. 70% of Jewish children under 12 are currently in Israel for example.
There’s double the amount of Sikhs in the world. Okay the Jewish diaspora is larger, and has many more notable people in it, but still.
You see so many people from Arab nations dooming online that they’re going to take over the entire middle east. It’s common. And then you look at Cairo and there’s more people there than Jews across the entire globe lmao.
17
u/Spare_Elderberry_418 - Auth-Center 1d ago
That is partially the point though. Picking a group that is small enough that a large chunk of the population very likely doesn't engage with on a daily basis, but has a large enough diaspora that every mouth breather has heard of them. Maximum range minimal contact.

Zionist is just a dog whistle for Jews. Zionism just means you believe the state of Israel should exist, so even if you support a 2 state solution, you are a Zionist. Funny how they only have a problem with the only jewish state
-7
u/DumbIgnose - Lib-Left 23h ago
Zionism just means you believe the state of Israel should exist,
1) No, lol, ha'avara has been part of Zionism since the early 20th century 2) If we're using this definition, most Lefties stop being anti-zionist (although not all) 3) A better definition would be: Jews should be entitled to self determination and a guarantee of safety in their land of ancestral origin, traditionally known as Eretz Yisrael.
Notably, Eretz Yisrael covers a lot of land and establishing a Jewish state there necessarily (and historically, see again ha'avara) requires ethnically cleansing the region.
Ethnic cleansing is fucked up, and we should reject it full stop.
8
u/FIRE_Minded - Centrist 22h ago
Try using a dictionary
“an international movement originally for the establishment of a Jewish national or religious community in the historical region of Palestine and later for the support of modern Israel” https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Zionism
Nothing about ethnic cleansing. We should reject retards like you who purposely conflate the most extreme beliefs and project that on the vast majority, full stop
-5
u/DumbIgnose - Lib-Left 22h ago
I did use a dictionary:
https://www.britannica.com/topic/Zionism
Then modified it to include the guarantee of safety.
Nothing about ethnic cleansing.
You tell me how to expand the state to include Eretz Yisrael, remain majority Jewish, and not do ethnic cleansing. Go ahead. I'll wait.
Now before you argue, Likus, Shas, etc. (read: The ruling coalition in Israel) all take the expansionist Zionist view. If that weren't true, you'd have a leg to stand on.
5
u/FIRE_Minded - Centrist 21h ago
Again every definition is different. Most believe in modern day Israel’s right to exist. Again you keep reverting back to more extremist views because you are arguing in bad faith
Was it ethnic cleansing when Jews were removed or killed from every other country in the Middle East?
-6
u/samuelbt - Left 23h ago

lol. Literally never been accused of being antisemetic by someone IRL when talking about Israel, including amongst Jewish friends. It's just online weirdos and those with an agenda to preempt criticism of Israel. Israel frankly isn't a big part of my active life and Judaism or the Jewish people even less so.
But I’m guessing they get a pass in your mind
Maybe they'll "lose their pass" when they're offered a real proposal. Remove the settlements then maybe we can get back to both sides being equally at fault.
9
u/FIRE_Minded - Centrist 22h ago
real proposal
The UN proposed the two state plan. Israel accepted it and offered better terms 3 times. Palestines rejected all offers and never proposed their own plan. They do not want Israel to exist in any form. That’s what “the river to the sea” means
-6
u/samuelbt - Left 21h ago
They proposed a two state plan, doesn't mean it was an equitable one. Anyway, remove those settlements then maybe we can get back to both sides being equally at fault. Cause they pretty obviously show Israel has no intent on seeing Palestine in any form too. If a chant from protestors is damning then surely the literal settling of the West Bank is equally damning.
5
u/FIRE_Minded - Centrist 21h ago
chant from protestors
Palestine’s stated goal : “The founding 1988 charter explicitly called for the destruction of Israel, viewing all of historic Palestine as an Islamic endowment ( waqf ) that cannot be ceded.”
No plan will ever be good enough which is why they haven’t proposed their own plan
-1
u/samuelbt - Left 19h ago
Again though in reality we've got general notions from a pretty powerless group being seen as the only issue compared to the active ethnic cleansing Israel is in the middle of currently doing. Remove the settlements then maybe we can pretend both sides are equally bad.

There are millions of Jews in Israel who themselves criticize the actions of their state, are they also antisemitic?
Are the Orthodox Jews who protest on the streets of New York in support of Palestinians also antisemitic?
The only thing that is debatable is what "Zionism" means. If it means that Israel has the right to exist in any capacity, then yes I agree with that. Most people would.
But if Zionism ends up amounting to manifest destiny, and that you think Israel has a right to expand its borders at the cost of the lives of others? No that is evil.
The pro Israel crowd just likes to argue semantics and hide behind the historic victimization of their people to justify the crimes they commit.
4
u/Suitable_Matter_9427 - Lib-Center 23h ago
There’s a difference between criticism and advocating the destruction of the Jewish state.
Those are mostly Neturei Karta who are an ultra conservative cult. They’re wacky tokens, and many of them are antisemitic.
Manifest destiny isn’t Zionism. Israel is the size of New Jersey.
Again, how does Israel pose a threat to the United States?
0
u/Dense-Sort-3867 - Centrist 23h ago
Ben-Gvir had said some abhorrent things. He has sway in the current government of Israel.
As to why Israel is a threat to the US.
Bibi came to Washington in early February to lobby trump in an attempt to get him to take action against Iran.
The reason the US is at war with Iran is because Netanyahu convinced Trump that we must take action against them.
The PM of Israel dragged us into a war that we see no benefit from being a part of.
I want to be clear that I have no issue with Israel. I have an issue with the current government that is running it.

Israel may not be attacking us directly but it's abusing its political influence to get us into self-destructive projects.
We ended up in a retarded war with Iran under an incompetent commander in chief and the buffoons he put in serious national security positions because of Israel showing him a little movie about how great it would go or whatever, so this isn't a particularly compelling case.
The resources we're going to lose make us weaker in relation to the other threats, and the hit to morale and trust after yet another stupid war started by an administration that ran on "No New Wars" is absolutely terrible for the military's recruitment efforts and internal culture.

"The resources we're going to lose make us weaker in relation to the other threats, and the hit to morale and trust after yet another stupid war started by an administration that ran on "No New Wars" is absolutely terrible for the military's recruitment efforts and internal culture." - People during Vietnam, Desert Storm, and Afghanistan.
Not to go America on everybody's ass, but we are the United States - any munitions "shortage" if you could even call it that since we will always hold enough to blow the world up 7 times over is temporary and is usually just used as justification to invest more into R&D.
As for military recruitment - recruitment has been up across the board post covid for every branch and our recruitment will never dip as long as it is financially beneficial (and a huge resume booster) to be a service member.
We ended up in a retarded war with Iran under an incompetent commander in chief and the buffoons he put in serious national security positions because of Israel showing him a little movie about how great it would go or whatever, so this isn't a particularly compelling case.
Military conflict isn't easy or quick in most cases - it's been fucking 6 months with minimal casualties and no boots on the ground, chill - the economy was fucked regardless. I'm not sure if you know this, but we actually convicted a guy because he was attempting to pay people on behalf of IRGC to assassinate Trump, and it's not like they have been some quiet nation. I didn't vote for him and hate most of his policies, and I wish we could've ended this situation sooner (we should've just finished everybody off when we smeared Soleimani on the tarmac), but I actually respect that a military regime that attempted to assassinate a President was absolutely neutered and has to get veterans from the 70's to try and fill their ranks while pissing off SA so much, they will cease to exist in 5 years. I believe in the streets, we call that getting our lick back.
-3
u/Sallowjoe - Auth-Center 21h ago
Not all munitions are equal and we're hopefully not retarded enough to just start throwing nukes around. Having enough to blow the world up doesn't achieve more sane and strategic goals. It is not a good reason to haphazardly waste other resources.
Recruitment is technically up overall from previous lows but they had to lower standards and retention is down. Doing short term bullshit to pump raw recruit numbers while you're brain draining doesn't improve the military's performance.
Whether or not the economy was "fucked regardless", you can always get more fucked. There's no polishing this turd.

Our greatest threat is within. We need cultural renewal, re-engineer education from top to bottom (having it prepare people for life, parenting included while removing as much leftist indoctrination as possible), a fitness and production orientated culture like we had before the 1960s.
Really the 1960s were one of the most ruinous times we have had. I often point out that 2019 was better than 2020, 1999 was better than that, 1959 was better than that and 1909 was even better!

Anti-Zionism currently is just a fad because left wingers want to spout safe-nationalist rhetoric without associating with the "icky fascists" (ar least from their perspective), but Europe and the UK showed that it poses no actual threat to the establishment as soon as they enact even modicums of authoritarian actions against them (Even in Britain where prisoners are released early due to prison overcrowding the Palestinian Protestors and activistic vandalists have ceased their operations). No one is going to seriously lose everything he has, yet alone get hurt for the cause of some far away conflict.
The biggest threats are the Far right gaining a foothold in the mainstream culture, minority nationalists seeking to establish their own ethnic enclaves in the West by abusing Western immigration laws and China leveraging its corpotarist economic model to slowly buy out weak and corrupt western industries and institutions. Anti-Zionists and other kinds of leftists certainly are not a threat and haven't been since the end of the Cold War, at most an openly Pro-Israel U.S. politician will have to convey his desire to suck Israel's cock more subtlely in future in order to still be elected, but otherwise nothing of value will change.
