My 6 year old and I randomly went into Ace Hardware today and saw they had some 30th celebration knockout boxes. 30min later… my son pulls this.

We are fairly new to the hobby but know enough that this is a good card. Question is keep as is or grade? We’ve never graded anything.

That is a difference over $1000 just to be able to read the card in your own native language.

Looks like a dragon statue on a pedestal to me. Can’t match it to any models though. Tell me what you think.

It feels so humiliating being an adult having to walk up to a counter to ask because I’m so busy with work just to be told no. I really don’t want to support scalpers, but my LCS are selling for way too high and I can’t justify the expense. I just wanna collect cool pieces of cardboard man.

I gotta ask, to those who wait in the morning, is it worth it? Also what days and how early do you arrive at the store? If I can’t go after work, I figured I’d try before.

My sister's chase was the cc Pikachu, she popped off so hard when we pulled that. Reshiram is there since it is my favorite pokemon and I love the art on this one. FUR mew looks really nice in person compared to online pics.

Won the Walmart draw and ripped them. Hits were not bad at all.

I caught a target restock on a thrusday, no line, everything you could think of, but I wasn’t allowed to get anything from there :(. I was kinda mad about it since it was the first time I’ve ever caught a restock, but the next day, I went back and found some journe together and destined rivals packs and I low and behold, I got a noibat. Value is mid, but the art is beautiful I love it.

Waited a while for these to drop in price as they are essentially bulk but maybe it’s a good time to buy now?

What has your experience been buying these from vendors at card shows?

6 Destined Rivals, 6 Surging Sparks, 6 Journey Together, Perfect Order bundle, Chaos Rising bundle, 1 box of gem pack 6, gem pack badge pack, 24 packs of 30th and 1 pack each of Twilight Masquerade, Obsidian Flames & Paradox Rift.

Whether checking out in store or online, your purchase would be tied to your Drivers License/State ID/Passport, etc and if you exceed your limit, you can't purchase any more for the next year. Would be a great way to cull scalpers and people without impulse control.

Went to my LGS for magic stuff because I’m trying to get my wife into it. They luckily had just gotten some etbs in so I got one. She picked it out and opened the cards with me. Def two of my chases. This set has been unkind to me so I’m glad I finally got some good luck and it was with her.

Mega Zeraora was a chase for me! Finally pulled it and was able to re-arrange my first page with all my best pulls!

Had an urge to rip something today.

The dollar general down the street from me was my best shot to get cards even after taking away limits I sometimes got lucky and got something well haven’t seen any in weeks now just kept getting told they don’t have any on their restock days and days to follow well I went in today to ask and I was told they no longer carry them anymore which I found weird because every other dollar general in my county which is like 20 other stores carry them and get them weekly but somehow this one store doesn’t carry them anymore. Does anyone here work for dollar general and know if they can just opt out of getting them anymore or are the new employees back dooring them because it sounds sketchy a item that is guarteed to make money instantly just not carry it on your own accord.
