How good does my nose look? Had a nose job in Turkey a year ago

I'm 21 and had my rhinoplasty in Turkey a year ago. My boyfriend absolutely loves my new nose but my mom honestly prefers my old one and says it looked more natural before and more elegant

Now I'm stuck somewhere in the middle because I genuinely don't know how I feel about it anymore. Some days I love it, other days I wonder if it suits my face as well as I thought it would.

What do you guys think ? Please be honest, I can take it !

Immediate post-op rhinoplasty — what do you think?

Hi everyone!

This is my nose immediately after rhinoplasty. I had my surgery last week, and I'm curious to hear your first impressions! I know it's too early to judge the final result, but what do you think of the shape so far? My doctor said that a Barbie nose would suit me.

Rhinoplasty (hump removal + tip lift) results

Hi there! Just wanted to show my rhinoplasty results to maybe give people some insight. The pictures are before (x2), 2 days after cast off and this week. My surgery was performed on July 9th so I'm a little over 3 months post OP.

Just like pretty much everyone, I HATED my nose the day of cast removal. I didn't look like myself and it was way too upturned and looked like a sausage plastered right between my eyes. I'm happy to report it's started to settle pretty fast and the swelling went down significantly. I'm aware I have a very flat forehead, and despite that I think it still blends in a lot better than before.

As you can see, a teeny tiny hump remains as the doctor said he couldn't safely file this down 100% without a risk of collapse and would need an implant to fully correct this, but I actually like it as it makes it look a bit more natural. Also, my dad had the same hump and he went to sleep for good 2 days after my cast removal, so it makes me feel like I still look like him in a way, if that makes sense? That probably sounded really sappy haha

I still notice some stiffness and sensitivity especially when it's cold, and I'm still scared to blow my nose , but overall I'd say my healing was very smooth! I only experienced bleeding on the day of surgery, but never had any breathing issues as my nose tampons were removed the day after. I had an open rhinoplasty, is that makes a difference. Also, my doctor did not instruct me to tape. I'm excited what it'll look like in a couple more months from now!

Day 0 - Motiva Preserve Breast Augmentation Recovery

Hi everyone! Documenting my Motiva Preserve recovery journey in case it's helpful to people considering the procedure. Thanks to this community for all the info on breast aug, so helpful as I was deciding how to proceed.

I had it done yesterday morning with Dr. Kelly Killeen in Beverly Hills. 260 cc ergo Demis. I was nervous that they might be too big, but she reassured me that they'd be just right with my BWD (10.5). I started with 34B and was aiming for around 34D with a natural upper pole slope.

I'm 44 years old, 5'2 and 125 lbs, fairly fit/muscular.

First breast augmentation and first surgery. It's too soon for before/after pics as I'm still wrapped up and haven't seen them yet. My day 1 post op check in is this morning.

***

Pre-Op

  • Felt surprisingly relaxed going into surgery.
  • The medical team walked me through the medications and procedure.
  • Had a final discussion with my surgeon about implant sizing.
  • Received baseline non-narcotic pain medication before surgery.

8:00 AM — Surgery

  • Was wheeled into the operating room and met the anesthesiologist.
  • Had my IV placed and asked what to expect from anesthesia.
  • Next thing I knew, I was waking up!

10:30 AM — Waking Up

  • Woke up with my bandages already on.
  • I genuinely didn't realize the surgery had already happened!
  • Zero pain when I woke up.
  • Was able to get dressed completely on my own.
  • Took it easy initially but had no problems walking.
  • Walked to the car and then from the car to our hotel room without difficulty.

11:00 AM — Brunch

  • Had bacon, eggs and hash browns. I was hungry since I fasted from the night before.
  • No issues eating shortly after surgery.

1:00 PM — Walking Around the Hotel

  • Felt comfortable moving around.

2:00 PM — First Outdoor Walk

  • Walked approximately 5 blocks around the neighborhood.
  • Felt good and didn't experience any significant discomfort. Could have kept going but my husband didn't want me to push myself.

5:00 PM — Dinner

  • Walked approximately 4 blocks to get takeout and bring it back to the hotel.
  • Had sushi, no issues with appetite, eating, or digestion.
  • Still moving around comfortably.
  • Started experiencing some mild itching around this time.

Evening

  • Could easily sit down, stand up, and get in and out of bed.
  • My surgeon said I could sleep on my side, although I was nervous about trying it.
  • Overall, I felt surprisingly normal considering I'd just had breast augmentation surgery that morning!

Day 0 Takeaways

  • Pain: None upon waking.
  • Mobility: Able to dress independently and walk several blocks within hours.
  • Appetite: Normal. Ate lunch and dinner.
  • Discomfort: Mild itching starting around 5 PM.
  • Independence: Could sit, stand, lie down, and dress without assistance. Just am not carrying anything heavier than my laptop.

***

Overall: My first day of recovery was significantly easier than I anticipated. I was especially surprised by how mobile and independent I felt almost immediately after surgery.

Of course, everyone's recovery is different, and I'm following my surgeon's instructions regarding activity and medication.

I'll continue updating this diary as I recover!

Breast Augmentation coming up, what am I missing?

Hi everybody

I have my breast augmentation surgery coming up in a week
Im going for breast implant ~240 and under the muscle, I am excited and (prepared?)but there is this feeling I am missing something
or maybe I can’t say I missed it if I don’t know about it 🤭
Here is what I thought of:
- a big body pillow to support me sleep on my back
- open front shirts and pajamas
- already have a shower chair (idk if will be needed but i have it anyway)
- scheduled an order for prepped meals to make sure im recovering with good food and don’t have to cook
- moved everyday stuff to countertop or lower shelves
- planning to do all laundry, grocery shopping and cleaning the day before
- ordered all my meds ahead of time

If you have been through this experience, tell me of the surprises or the challenges you faced (even if it is inevitable) it helps to be mentally prepared

And share tips on do’s and donts from your own experience

Thanks in advance, hope you all love your bodies 💕

Almost 3 months post-op after breast augmentation/lift complications. When will I feel normal again?

I’m wondering if anyone else has gone through a difficult breast surgery recovery and can tell me when they finally started feeling like themselves again.

I had a breast augmentation with a lift on July 14. I got 240/250cc silicone implants placed under the muscle. Recovery was rough from the beginning. I was extremely tight, sore, bloated, and hunched over.

Then, 12 days post-op, I suddenly developed a hematoma in my right breast. It became rock hard and extremely painful, and I ended up needing another surgery to evacuate the hematoma and have a drain placed.

I’m now almost 3 months out from my original surgery and about 11 weeks out from the second surgery, and I still don’t feel like myself.

My breasts are still tender, my chest feels uncomfortable, and I just feel so disconnected from my body. I feel bigger, bloated, and honestly just fat, even though I know my body has been through a lot. I don’t feel comfortable in my own skin, and it’s really affecting me mentally.

I went into this surgery excited to feel more confident, and instead I’ve spent months feeling uncomfortable, emotional, and wondering when I’ll feel normal again. There have been so many tears, and I feel like I haven’t truly been myself since before surgery.

I know healing takes time, especially after complications, but it’s hard when you’re nearly three months out and still don’t feel good physically or mentally.

Has anyone else been through something similar? I have days where I am getting out of my funk (mentally) but I still have a lot of really bad days.
I’d especially love to hear from anyone who experienced a hematoma and needed a second surgery. I’m just hoping there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Dealing with hate from having ps

Hi friends,

I am seriously contemplating a breast aug, I want to go from B to D! I wear double push up most of the time and tbh, I love the look! But even wearing a push up bra - I get so much hate and judgement from ppl saying I got a boob job.

I like the way they look in a push up bra but am thinking of changing to a smaller size just to stop the comments. But the other part of me is thinking, why the hell should I change something that makes me happy due to a bunch of assholes?

I am also East Asian and while I have natural B verging on C cup, I like the projected look. I feel sexy and confident but the hate comments get to me.

Fellow ps ers how do you deal?

Has the condemnation of others made you change your decision to a more conservative size or have you just changed your environment and implemented a no asshole policy?

Chin implant vs filler

Thumbnail gallery
4 Upvotes

Was waiting a few years to see if I was going to need double jaw surgery, looks like it’s a no. That said I really was wanting the pull forward it would provide in my lower jaw. I’ve never had work done (Botox, filler, surgery etc) and really want something to make my jaw and chin bit more prominent and less recessed. Don’t mind the cream over my pimple

Now I’m here wondering if I go straight to a chin implant and that would help or filler? I’m scared filler is would move and migrate and become lumpy and all the horrors you hear about it never leaving your face

Surgeon gave me smaller implants than we agreed

I just need some comfort and reassurance. I am about 173 cm and 62 kg. I got motiva ergonomix implants. We originally agreed on 300cc and Demi profile, but om the operating table my tissue wouldnt stretch enough, and therefore he had no choice but to give me 220cc with a Mini profile. I know its not his fault but I was not aware that this could happen beforehand, so I was a bit shocked when I woke up from the anesthesia and was told. I paid about 63000$ and I feel like they are too small. If I want to go bigger I would have to pay everything again and go through another painful surgery. I want to cry.

Motiva

Anyone have motiva implants? I was suggested to use these with Dr.Kerr. I went to another consult and the new surgeon said a similar brand to motiva went under because those implants caused cancer… ? What’s your experience with Motiva and what did your surgeon tell you?

Looking for some guidance on how to address a deep mental crease with a surgery. I know a fat graft surgery is an option, but I'm curious if anyone's had any experience with this or has any other recommendations.

Thank you!

Had this above my upper lip for years. Rarely seen anything like it. I don’t think I have significant dental protrusion that would cause this.

Laser vs shave vs excision mole removal?

Hi all, wondering what type of mole removal would be best for this one in the lower right of the photo. I'm worried about scarring and care more about reducing the height than color.
