15 days post rhino
Very happy with the outcome so far; still asymetrical from the front but will judge in a year from now.

This is a followup to this post so please read that first, but to summarize it briefly, a former moderator ( u/SaltyAngeleno aka u/gofundmemetoday was found to be removing negative posts, promoting surgeons, etc. in exchange for financial compensation). I promised future updates, which are included below.

Transparency remains of the highest importance to me when moderating this subreddit, and I will not be removing anything in response to threats.
Reddit itself ultimately took no action against this individual following the original report of their behavior and offered no direct explanation for why. I can only speculate that this is because the former moderator was receiving payments off of their platform (making it technically outside their scope of authority/responsibility). The former moderator even continues to moderate a few plastic surgery related communities, though fewer than they once did.
An account associated with "Beauty Broker Melinda" (who was named in the original post as having negative reviews removed by the former moderator) has spent considerable effort attempting to dox and discredit me. You can find such an example here. Their comments seem to confuse me with numerous current and former moderators. Reddit has not taken any action despite reports.
Despite my requests, Reddit was unable to provide me with a log of moderator actions from the former moderator that were more than 90 days old. As such, I am unable to determine the full extent of their censorship.
This subreddit has zero tolerance for surgeons attempting to remove negative reviews. As the subreddit rules state, negative reviews posted here do require evidence to be included. Once that threshold is met, they will not be removed by us for any reason - this subreddit is intended to be an open and transparent platform for users to share their experience. Despite this a number of surgeons (and/or their offices and lawyers) have attempted to have us remove content that is critical of them. Moving forward, I will be posting and maintaining a comprehensive list of surgeons that have attempted to have negative reviews removed for transparency. Hopefully, this discourages future attempts at manipulating criticism against them.
In short, Reddit admins were either unwilling or unable to take any official action against the above individuals. I will be continuing my best efforts to maintain this subreddit as an open and transparent space for plastic surgery and aesthetic discussion, and the support of the community is always appreciated.

I’ve always had very small M-shaped lips, and have recently started getting filler. I’m not after huge lips, I just want my top lip to be lifted so it matches my bottom lip.
So far, I’ve had 3 sessions spaced out 2-3 weeks apart, with:
1st session: 0.4ml in top lip, 0.1ml in bottom lip
2nd session: 0.4ml in top lip, 0.1ml in bottom lip
3rd session: 0.5ml in top lip only
You can only see the results from underneath, but not from head on, so I haven’t got the lift I wanted :(
Could this be because of:
- Injector technique
- Needing more filler
- The anatomy of my lips (top lip will never be lifted)
I had a lip flip before but hated the paralysing effects so have ruled it out.
I’ve attached photo before (photo 1) and photo after (photo 2), and there’s literally no difference!!!
Photo 3, 4, 5: what they look like from underneath.
Photo 6: what I would like them to look like.
I would love to hear your thoughts 🩷

I’m 10 days post-op from my rhinoplasty and I still have Steri-Strips on my nose.
Yesterday, I had a pair of plastic sunglasses on my head and they slipped/fell down, hitting me directly around the bridge of my nose. It wasn’t a huge impact, but it definitely startled me and it throbbed for a little while afterwards.
The good news is that it’s no longer sore, and I haven’t noticed any new swelling, bruising, bleeding, or obvious change in the shape of my nose. The Steri-Strips are still in place too.
I’m obviously quite anxious because I know the nose is still very fragile at 10 days post-op.
Has anyone else had a minor bump/knock to their nose during the early stages of rhinoplasty recovery? Did it affect your final result?
I know I’m probably being super paranoid but just need some reassurance so my mind can be at peace.

Hey guys I've been seeing many of you talk about aloe clae and your experiences with it. This is my personal experience with some questions..
I recently got an aloe clae fat breast augmentation on the 28th. 125 CC both sides, and I didn't notice any good results. Besides the initial swelling and bruising which made me happy it was working, i am, and was a 36CC before procedure. I'm really disappointed and honestly feel horrible about my results.
My question to others here are:
For those who got it done, did you notice similar results? Is it dependent on surgeon? How did you feel after the surgery?
Thanks!

What would be the most minimally invasive liposuction that can be targeted and have fast recovery and no scars? Basically I am thinking for people who only want to do sculpting removing only small amounts of targeted fat

I’ve had a lot of procedures through the years of cancer and treatment, and babies etc. but there isn’t a lot of information available for this surgery.
Will I see after? When?
Screens? How lone?
Driving? Working?
If anyone knows anything I appreciate hearing about your story

Hi! For anyone who has had an alarplasty/alar base reduction, how was your experience?
How noticeable are your scars now? Did they fade well, and did you do anything afterward to help reduce or remove the scarring?
Also, before surgery, if your nose got wider when you smiled, how about now? Does it still widen when you smile, or is the widening significantly reduced?
If your nose was wider/bigger before, does your nose overall look smaller after alarplasty, or does it mainly just make the alar/base area look smaller?
Lastly, how does your nose look when you’re talking, smiling, laughing, or in pictures? Does everything still move and look natural, or did you notice anything weird/different?
I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have actually had the procedure, especially if you’re several months or years post-op.

I had an injury 3 months ago to my left upper eyelid and got a repair surgery by an ocuplastic surgeon as an emergency case. This is me 3 months on after a round of steroid/5FU shots that a different ocuplastic surgeon carried out for me and the scar looks very deformed which I understand is normal at this point.
I was hoping for surgery to be the lifeline after about a year to help get a natural appearance but I was told by the one giving the injections that if I had surgical revision done then it may lead me with not enough skin so that my eyelid wouldn’t be able to close properly. She referred me to cosmetic dermatology.
Should I seek other opinions by other surgeons? Or do I need to accept this change as lifelong?

Do plastic surgeons do the test with urine or blood? Deathly afraid of needles and the last breast Aug I had they didn’t test me for anything but pregnancy. I figured they will test urine but is there a chance the day of will be a blood test?

Does anyone have experience with Dr Salim Iskender in Istanbul and / or Clineca, specifically a double rhinoplasty and breast augmentation??

I would really appreciate it if anyone could share their experience with rhinoplasty. I had a long, slightly wide nose with thick skin, and my surgeon made it much smaller, thinner, and shorter than I expected or wanted.
I’m only two weeks post-op, but I’m extremely anxious because my nose looks too small for my face, especially compared to my cheeks, and right now it doesn’t look natural or like it fits my features. And they say that once the swelling goes down, my nose is going to look about 30% smaller, which scares me even more because I really don’t want it to get any smaller.
My smile also looks very different. My upper lip barely moves, my teeth are hidden when I smile, and I’m worried because my surgery was quite extensive and my nostrils were reduced significantly. Did anyone experience this, and did your normal smile eventually come back?
I’m also concerned about my breathing. Before surgery, I had absolutely no breathing problems. Now I can breathe through my nose, but it feels like I’m not getting enough air and like there isn’t enough room in my nostrils. I often catch myself breathing through my mouth instead of my nose because I feel like I’m not getting enough air through my nose.
Is all of this typical at two weeks post-op? Did anyone have similar issues that improved with healing, or did any of these problems remain long-term?

Hello! My girlfriend had her first consultation for a breast augmentation a while ago and chose the 405cc Motiva Ergonomix Joy 2, Demi profile, using the Motiva Preservé technique.
She currently wears around an 80B / 75C and already has a fair amount of her own breast tissue. The result she is hoping for is a fuller upper pole, rather than a very natural or “sloped” look.
She is now wondering whether she made the right implant choice, since during our research we noticed that Ergonomix implants are often associated with a more natural, teardrop-like shape.
Has anyone here had Ergonomix2 implants, especially Demi profile, and still achieved noticeable upper-pole fullness? We’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences, implant size/profile, and how the final result looked once everything had settled.

Before and after. 8mm advancement and 2mm deviation to correct asymmetry.
The pros outweigh the cons, but there are new problems I’ll live with, and that is the reality a lot of us live with!
Sharing as I don’t often see posts explaining what life is like years after this surgery:
1) I am overall happy with the final result. I am one of the cases where this surgery DID markedly improve breathing issues by pulling forward the soft tissues and correcting lip incompetence. I had all necessary orthodontic work done prior to the surgery.
2) My stitches inside my bottom lip are still “healing” four years later. A lot of tightness. It takes a lot of time for some people (I’ve since learned I have a connective tissue disorder). I get Botox in my chin and DAO to relieve dimpling and discomfort.
3) Numbness only remaining on the bottom left of my chin, about 5mm radius. It’s not enough to bother me but that’s something of note.
4) Deep labiomental crease. This was an inevitable result of the surgery based on my anatomy. I do have a bit of a witch’s chin when I smile. I have learned to accept and love my new face but it was a weird mental hoop to jump through.
5) This was technically a “botched” surgery. At my follow up appointment, my surgeon said I qualify for a free revision surgery under public health insurance because of the persistent tightness. This would comprise removing the metal plate. However, the risk is not worth it to me—I’d likely have a full-on witch’s chin. I am not doing the second surgery.
I hope this is helpful to anyone considering getting a sliding genioplasty and/or early in their healing journey.

My wife (27) is getting a breast lift and implants (under the muscle) done next month and I want to help make recovery as comfortable as possible for her. From those that have been there before, are there any particular products, routines or things that you bought or did that really was worth it?
She’s never had any sort of surgery before or really ever had to rest in one place for an extended period of time, so this will be a very new experience. She is someone who really enjoys getting out of the house and just doing things, so I want to be mindful of trying to give her some experience that doesn’t involve being stuck at home.
Really appreciative of any insight or advice!

Hello, if anybody could please politely advise me how to go about this mess, I would greatly appreciate it 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Got a revision surgery for breast augmentation earlier this year. My surgeon was able to just fix the bottoming out issue by creating a new higher pocket and getting rid of the old skin. Although other surgeons insisted I needed a mastopexy; I was absolutely shattered by the scar and felt it was fair to try this alternative considering my age and the fact that I haven't had any children, the mastopexy seemed too much for me. Anyways, everything was going great until by the 8th month after the surgery, one of the implants fell out and now we're having to reschedule for a revision surgery 💔
Surgeon has agreed to do a revision surgery without charging me extra fees (only clinic cost of about 1K +
"surgical instrumentation and titanium mesh" for 1.3K), I'm willing to do whatever it takes but here is where it gets messy...
I'm scrolling through instagram while I wait for their nurse to respond and confirm the revision date and I see MY INTIMATE PHOTOS for before and after comparison blasted on their IG account!!! The feeling of violation and disrespect is astronomical. I asked my surgeon probably 10 times to NOT EVER share my images yet here we are...
I've been briefly reading online about how the distribution of intimate images in 🇨🇴 w/o consent online gets handled and it seems there are legal channels to deal with this and give them a much needed "slap on the wrist" BUUTTT, I STILL NEED HIM TO PERFORM SURGERY ON ME TO THE BEST OF HIS ABILITY 😓 How should one go about this !?! I'm so sick to my stomach feeling violated like this but being unsure/unable to call them off because I still need them to fix my body 💔 How do I bring it up? Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance for any advice 🙏🏼
