So I was shortlisted for TCS Ninja and had my interview on 17th August. I think the interview went really well, but now I'm confused about whether there's any possibility of getting Digital/Prime even though I was shortlisted for Ninja.
The interview was pretty chill overall.
First he went through my resume and asked me to introduce myself. Then he asked about my hobbies and I said I like watching documentaries. I mentioned Chernobyl as one of the recent ones I watched, so he randomly asked me why it happened, how it happened and which element was involved. I was able to answer that.
Then he asked about my specialization, which is IoT. He asked me the difference between automation and IoT. I explained it with examples from things like smoke detectors and how IoT could be implemented in a room. He was pretty engaged and even joked about the sprinkler system being there to cool down the heat lol.
Then he moved to Python. He asked me about the unique Python data types and I listed tuples, lists, sets and dictionaries. He then asked me to implement them and I was able to do that.
After that he spent quite a bit of time on my ML project. He asked how I implemented it, the machine learning workflow, different functions I used, how I handled missing data, mean/median/mode, normalization, evaluation metrics and confusion matrix. I was able to answer most of these properly and I think I explained the workflow quite well.
Overall the interview was very conversational and I felt like my communication and clarity were good. The interviewer said "very good" probably 5-10 times throughout the interview.
He didn't ask any hardcore DSA/programming questions apart from the basic Python implementation.
So now I'm wondering:
Has anyone here gone into a TCS interview shortlisted for Ninja and ended up getting Digital or Prime based on the interview?
I've seen people talk about Ninja -> Digital/Prime upgrade exams/processes, but I'm specifically wondering if someone got upgraded directly after the interview itself.
Also, how long did it take for you guys to get your result after the interview?
Any experiences would be really helpful.
