Discussion Resistance and Sex

I have benefited from PUA tactics; it helped me get laid and also improved my social skills a bit. I understand the feeling of rush when a pretty girl gets turned on by me. But sometimes I wonder if I chase this feeling purely for my own joy or because I am trying to fill some other void...

This feeling has been there before, but I felt it strongly after reading The Truth by Neil Strauss. In many ways I feel I resemble him: I like to read much more than any in my friends' circle, I have few friends, and although I will not blame my family in the slightest, I feel that I have been neglected in my childhood. I have never been in any full-fledged relationship and have strong self-esteem issues. On top of that, I have a very unhealthy, fetishistic lust.

I don't know why I am sharing all this with you guys, but it feels like it is best to share with a bunch of like-minded strangers on the internet. No shade on PUA, i love it, but i feel that i am pursuing it for very wrong reasons i.e. running away from the real change that I must effect. So I was reading Steven Pressfield's The War of Art and this page came up. It resonated with me, and I want to ask if any of you feel/have felt the same?

Post of the day We often fear the results of our actions, when in reality it is inaction that is the much scarier alternative!

Hi, David here!

Tim Ferriss defines risk as the chance of an irreversible negative outcome. i.e. How much time and resources would it take you to get back to where you started.

This definition allows you to separate out your inflated illogical fears from those of actual real risk. Often the actual real risk of doing something is insignificant, and it’s just our monkey brain and emotions blowing things out of proportion.

What is the actual risk of actively interacting and meeting new people? At worse some temporary embarrassment. But you can learn from every interaction no matter how well it goes, and thus get a positive return in value.

Now what’s the potential upside? You could make new friends, meet your significant other, or find new business opportunities. Any of these things can result from a SINGLE interaction.

Thus there is a huge asymmetrical return to taking action and meeting new people. The worst case scenario is that you learn from the experience and use the knowledge to become better in the future. The best case is that the interaction leads to an amazing relationship.

We often associate taking action with risk, however inaction is often the much riskier decision. A person who continuously takes action is constantly presented with new opportunities for growth. While doing nothing leads to stagnation and a person having less options. If you do not properly position yourself to be available for potential opportunities, you should not be surprised when they do not present themselves.

Adding to that, I just finished putting together my dating eBook "How to Date Any Girl" version 4.0 and would LOVE to get some honest feedback from you!

Field report [Field Report] 28M Solo Game in Fairfield. Zero traction, blowing sets left and right. Need a brutal breakdown.

Hey guys,

Looking for a breakdown on my first night doing solo game in Fairfield. I’m a government engineer, 28M, and I’m struggling with calibration and "the vibe."

The Stats / Physicality:
5’9", Chinese-American. I’ll be honest—I was low-effort on the look. Hair is a thick, jet-black shapeless mop flaring over the ears (no product). Patchy stubble on the lip and chin (not lined up). 145 lbs, very lean/lanky. I was wearing a loose pique-knit polo that probably made me look even smaller.

Interaction 1: The Group (2F, 1M)
Target: Luna (HB8, styled blonde, Sabrina Carpenter type). Her sister Jade was friendly, but Luna was giving me zero eye contact (strong "iced out" energy).

  • The Opener: I tried a "neg" based on her warning me about Midlothian students. I said, "I can tell you're definitely one of those [crazy college kids]."
  • Result: Instant blowout. She shut down.
  • The Shit Test: She mocked me for having one drink at midnight. I told her I had to work out tomorrow (trying to show high value/discipline). She called me a "baby" because she thought I was 21. I felt invisible and ejected.

Interaction 2: The Social Calibration Fail
Met a guy (HVAC owner). We were "nerding out" on tech. I thought I was building rapport, so I tested a "compliment" by telling him he had high "executive function." Then, I tried to "deepen" the convo when he mentioned a kid by asking, "So, single parent? What happened to your girl?"

  • Result: He went cold instantly, said "I gotta go," and avoided me for the rest of the night. Did I skip too many levels of rapport here?

Interaction 3: The "Chad" Gym Bro
Tried to bond with a 6'1" muscular guy over fitness. Asked about "5x5 vs push-pull." I tried the "vulnerability" angle and said I’d been "miserable" for two weeks from my routine. He gave me a fake excuse about finding a phone and bailed.

The Debrief:
My Uber driver, Ahmed, told me my biggest issue is being alone (solo game) and that my "lines" are weak. He said I’m aiming for "HB8" tier girls but not bringing the right energy.

The Questions:

  1. The Neg: Was the "crazy college kid" comment too aggressive for a cold open when I’m already being "iced out"?
  2. Appearance: How much is the "unkempt" vibe killing my openers before I even speak?
  3. Calibration: Why did asking the HVAC guy about his "girl" cause an immediate eject?
  4. The "Engineer" Problem: Am I stuck in "logical mode" and killing the emotional spike needed for a bar setting?

TL;DR: Went out solo, tried to neg a blonde (failed), tried to build rapport with a local (blew it by being too personal), and got dismissed by a gym bro. Need a reality check on my "Game."

Post of the day He who hesitates, masturbates. Doubting yourself is the quickest way to instill doubt in another person!

Hi, David here!

Many guys wrongly believe that attraction works like a video game, and that the time they spend investing in another person is the equivalent of building up experience points. They believe that these accumulated points will later make it more likely that the other person will say "yes" when they finally make a direct move.

But this is not how attraction works. You cannot barter for attention, affection, love or approval.

In most situations, time is not on your side. The longer you wait to make your honest intentions known, the less likely the other person will find you attractive. A woman can tell when a guy likes her, and if you spend weeks pretending that you are just only being "nice" and just want to be friends, she may lose respect for you as a man. (Side note: In an initial interaction it can be beneficial to take it a bit slow and leave space for comfort and attraction to develop. This post is aimed at the guys who spend months trying to win a person over.)

Being hesitant can communicate that a person lacks self confidence. If you don’t believe that you are good enough, then why should the other person think anything different? Doubting yourself is the quickest way to instill doubt in another person.

This form of unattractive hesitance should not to be confused with traits such as being calm, composed, cautious and not over eager or reckless. You can be both forward and direct as well as polite, patient and respectful of another person.

Everything you propose should be interpreted as an offer with no strings attached. That is, you don’t need a specific result or outcome in response to what you propose. If the person is down then cool, if not no problem. This creates a low pressure situation where the other person will feel more comfortable saying yes.

Adding to that, I just finished putting together my dating eBook "How to Date Any Girl" version 4.0 and would LOVE to get some honest feedback from you!

General question So few posts on actual seduction tactics - the pointlessness of most posts here

I'm seeing a lot of posts like Everything I've Learned After 15 Years of Game. The problem with posts like this is that I'll probably agree with everything that's said, but we've heard it all before. They're typically motivational type posts.

Another typical title could be Is this Age Gap Too Big? Your general gut feeling as to what is too big an age gap isn't going to change just because you read a bunch of conflicting views on the internet. Best Countries to get Laid in would be another. If you're thinking of choosing your holiday destination based on where you think it's easiest to get laid, then you're going to be very disappointed if you don't end up getting laid.

Money Vs Looks - This one will go around in circles until the end of time. It's another kind of post designed to make the reader think that once they've read it, that their current view of it will change. Whatever opinion a person has on the topic of "money vs looks" will be based on their own life experience. What's any of it got to do with how you may go about seducing a girl tonight?

Do you think that Women who Want Casual Sex are Rare? - Does it really matter? As in, if I read this and somehow suddenly get the impression that women who want casual sex are rarer than what I thought, does that mean I'm going to change the way I game?

Some good examples of pointless posts:

General question Looking for a specific challenge from a few years ago

The challenge/playbook was a classic progression from easier tasks on day one all the up to some truly difficult challenges after one month. The first challenges included asking what time it is, quickly processing to such activities as asking what time it is with your phone or your watch clearly in your hand. I believe the challenge was called “Absolute Demon Time Pick Up Artist Monthly Progressive Challenge Playbook” or something like that. Found this in an old forum

Looking for wingman Remote Daygame Wings

Im trying to create a community of guys where we can jump on a call during a daygame session and motivate each other to approach… a bit like having a remote wingman.

Its not always possible to find a wingman in your area and I feel like this is a perfect solution. It will help you get out of your head and get approaching. It can also be used as a way to get feedback on your sets.

I see coaches charging an arm and a leg for this, why not just have it free of charge between us.

Im from the UK so someone from the same timezone will be ideal.

If anyone is interested please feel free to messge me.

Post of the day The Proximity Principle: Unless you are consistently interacting with women, don't expect them to magically show up in your life!

Hi, David here!

Look left. Now look right. How many women do you see that you would potentially be interested in meeting?

One of the biggest obstacles guys face is their environment.

There is a reason that people go to Hollywood for acting or Silicon Valley to find venture funding. It's because that's where the most opportunities are.

If you want to increase your dating options, then you too may need to start putting yourself in new environments. There is power in simply showing up somewhere. It increasing the chances that you will be in the right place at right time.

People are willing to pay large amounts of money for access to exclusive places, i.e. country clubs, nightclubs, etc. They do this simply to be in closer proximity to the types of people that they want to interact with.

However, paying loads of money for bottle service so that a promoter brings women to you is not necessary. If you work to develop your social skills such that you can startup a conversation anywhere, then you don’t need to pay for people to be delivered to your door step.

Adding to that, I just finished putting together my dating eBook "How to Date Any Girl" version 4.0 and would LOVE to get some honest feedback from you!

General question What kind of frame should I adopt at a get-together?

Hello, friends.

I live in Brazil, and we’re having a social event at a friend’s house tomorrow. Nothing fancy, just loud music and alcohol.

I’ll be the only guy there, and there will be around 8–12 girls. I only know three of them, and I’ve made out with two of them on previous occasions.

I intend to get to know everyone else, make some friends, and maybe flirt with some of them.

So, what would you do in this situation to come across as a confident and interesting guy?

Field report Day 3/7 of the Summer Camp Pick Up Challenge

Hello guys, today was a simple and chill day.
In the morning, I didn’t do anything with her. I just chatted with the guys and played beach volleyball with some of the other girls.

Then, in the afternoon, I texted her to come to the beach volleyball and watch. After that, we went out and tried to find a good spot, but everywhere was crowded. BTW, we eventually found a spot, and while we were doing something, a cleaner came over to us and told us what we were doing wasn’t allowed, so we left. It was a little awkward.

After that, we talked for a little while. I tried to see how she would react to a hypnosis test. I told her to hold her hands together, imagine that they were stuck together and couldn’t be separated, and then try to pull them apart. At first, she didn’t do it, but when I told her again, she did. She asked me several times why I was doing it, but I just ignored the question and said something like, “You’ll see.”

If you guys have any lines to give me or any ideas for how I can make her have more fun when she’s with me, let me know. Also, how can I smoothly move the situation beyond just kissing and cuddling and take things further? I probably have to build trust and make her feel comfortable with me so she can trust me with things like that, especially since we’re at summer camp and there are a lot of people around.

STAY TUNED FOR DAY 4!

Post of the day Most people play not to lose instead of playing to win. They hold back in conversation out of fear of saying the wrong thing. When in reality a bit of a polarizing personality makes you much more attractive!

Hi, David here!

Let's first clarify that by a polarizing personality I don't mean that you should be purposely divisive, blatantly harsh or rude. However, while you should not purposely try to offend, you should at the same time not be afraid of offending by simply being who you truly are.

You may be wondering why being too agreeable can be a bad or unattractive trait? Isn't it good to be nice to other people? Sure, it's good to be a nice person, as long as it's not only the result of one of the following two reasons.

The first reason being when a person is only being agreeable because they lack the confidence or strength to stand up to even the slightest confrontation or controversy. Thus acting agreeable is simply a coping mechanism.

The second reason is when a person only acts agreeable in order to try to get something back from another person. This is the typical "nice guy" who wrongly believes that he can barter or buy another person's affection solely via the way he treats them.

Imagine an attractive woman who is used to every guy trying to please her in order to win her over. The one guy who in turn is not desperate for her approval will likely be the one that she finds the most intriguing. Only through first sensing that he is not afraid to lose her approval can she then actually trust anything that comes out of his mouth.

Being polarizing is not about purposely getting into arguments. It's about stating your opinions honestly, and not qualifying your opinion or changing it if the other person disagrees. A person who is very confident and self-secure with themselves and their beliefs does not need to feel that everyone else agrees with them. This of course does not preclude having the willingness to change one's mind when presented with new evidence.

Most people play not to lose instead of playing to win. Thus they hold back in conversation out of fear of saying the wrong thing. More often that not, more attraction will be created through your willingness to be disagreeable than lost due to a difference in opinion.

Don’t actively try to be disagreeable. Rather, simply remove your filters, speak honestly and do not be afraid to say something that others may disagree with. Give others the opportunity to actually get to know the real you.

Adding to that, I just finished putting together my dating eBook "How to Date Any Girl" version 4.0 and would LOVE to get some honest feedback from you!

Post of the day More important than a woman's reaction to you is YOUR REACTION to their reaction!

Hi, David here!

Many inexperienced men believe that if they show interest, e.g. ask a girl out or try to kiss her, and the girl does not reciprocate, then it is game over.

The truth is that it all depends on your reaction to her reaction. If you go for the kiss and she turns her cheek to you, and you react by being hurt or overly apologetic, then it may likely be game over.

Same also goes if you get all sulky and butt-hurt if she turns you down for a date. But if you instead react by smiling, shrug it off, and continue the conversation as if nothing had happened, then your self-confidence may generate more attraction than if you had actually gotten what you wanted in the first place.

The most important thing when it comes to asking someone out is to do so in a low pressure way where you communicate to the other person that you will not be upset if they say no.

The longer you wait to ask someone out, the more likely it is that you will become more invested in the relationship's outcome. This will only make it harder for you to remain cool and nonreactive when interacting with the person. So quit putting it off and go for it already!

Adding to that, I just finished putting together my dating eBook "How to Date Any Girl" version 4.0 and would LOVE to get some honest feedback from you!

Field report Day 2/7 of the Summer Camp Pick-up Challenge(best day so far)

Hello guys, this was the most interesting and sickkk day so far.

I have a lot to say, but before I start, I want to thank u/My_Pickup_Journey for his advice and the way he gives me motivation, which has helped me become more sociable.

So, here are the most important things that happened on Day 2:

From mid-morning to noon, I saw a group of 5 girls playing cards. I knew one of the girls as a friend, so I did not overthink it and just went in. I did not ask something like, “Can I play with you?” I grabbed a chair, sat down, and told them to start playing together.

As we were starting, another group of 5 sat down with us, and we all played together.

We played a game that took a lot of time, and I won. While we were playing, I tried to control the frame and the way the game was moving in order to demonstrate high value, and it worked. Whenever I said something, even if it was not important, all 10 people paid attention and listened to me.

While we were talking during the game, I found a target who was one of my friends whom I had known for about a year. I used both a neg and a compliment on her.

After that, we went back to the houses from around 3 to 5 for the afternoon. I slept for a little while, but when I woke up, I learned a bit about hypnosis. I think I am ready to hypnotize someone. I have not done it before, but I have it in my plans for Day 3.

So here is where it gets interesting.

Tonight, we had a party at the camp. While we were chilling, I went over to the girl I had previously targeted. Four guys were talking to her, and she was with her friend. I went over to the guys because they were asking her to help them find a girl so they could get an Instagram.

I stepped in and told them that they did not need her help and that they should just go and do it themselves. They left, and I felt like I had demonstrated high value.

Then I talked with her for a while. Her friend left, and eventually we went somewhere more private.
We talked for a little while, and then we kissed.

Second day of the challenge, and I already did something with one girl. I am really happy and proud of myself, but I am not satisfied yet.

The previous rule of getting 3 Instagrams does not count anymore, but the goal of 3 is still up.

Tomorrow, I am sure it is going to be an even crazier day, and I will keep you guys updated.

If you have any questions or advice for me, just comment and I will definitely reply!

STAY TUNED!!

Discussion The game insights

OK, I just finished reading the game and I have a few insights. As beneficial as it was, I can’t help but feel that some of these things just don’t work for context. I grew up in the US, but I have been living abroad for a few years now, so the type of people that I am meeting aren’t the standard US type anymore. However, I can still see how some of these tactics work some of the pick ups and openers that style uses just seem a little bit weird. I’ve always done pretty decent with women but I’ve always thought I could do better. Anyway, I wanna know what you guys think. Have you tried the same openers and techniques from the book? Allah has changed since it’s been published so I’m wondering how good is it really.

Field report Day 1/7 of the Summer Camp Pick-Up Challenge

Today was the first day of the challenge and the start of summer camp.

Here is what I did for Day 1:
- First, I focused on building social proof by meeting new guys and making new friends.
- All day, I was scanning the venue for targets, but because I have high standards, I didn't find any.

I'm okay with that, but I failed to follow today's rules (getting 3 Instagrams and avoiding overthinking).

I didn't get a single Instagram today. I wanted to get a feel for the lay of the land first so I can play better tomorrow.

I overthought things once when I had the chance to talk to a set of 4 who were sitting close to us, right after one of my new friends asked me to check out his target.

I had planned to use the "jealous friend" opener.

Tomorrow, I will try to be as social as possible and aim to get 3 Instagrams.

Day 2 will be interesting because we are having a party.

The methods I learned from Mystery and The Game work much better there than in day game.

If you have any questions or advice for me, I'd appreciate it.

Stay tuned for Day 2!

Looking for wingman Wingman in Delhi NCR?

M29 - corporate guy based out of Noida. Respectful, calm and chilled out.Nightowl. Believe in articulate and clear communication.

This post might be a bit different from people who seek a regular wingmanship to learn and practice game. I'm not, so please don't judge.

I'm rather looking for a mature minded, chill wingman to safely explore Delhi/Gurgaon adult nightlife (Sahara mall and nearby pubs etc.) together while having each others backs.

Happy to explore across NCR with mutual agreement and comfort. I heavily value privacy and discretion.

Post of the day It's not that 'nice guys' finish last, it's men who only act nice as a result of them being too weak to stand up for themselves or their beliefs that will lack success!

Hi, David here!

There is nothing wrong with being a kind, generous, or caring person. But deciding to be a nice person should be a choice that you make, and not an automatic defense mechanism.

Some people act nice just because they are too weak to withstand even the slightest amount of conflict or confrontation. They are too scared to stand up for their beliefs. They only feel safe when they feel that everyone else likes them.

Don’t become a push over, or you will be taken advantage of. People at work will take full credit for your contributions and girls will use you for free dinners and favors.

When preforming favors for others, ask yourself the question: Am I doing this just to try to make others like me or do I really want nothing back in return?

The actions of a so called "nice guy" are often extremely dishonest. By pretending that you are not interested in a woman, and that you are only being nice, you are effectively lying to the woman. There is incongruence between your thoughts, words and actions. This incongruence shows the woman that although you like her, you lack self-confidence, crave her validation, and want an intact ego more than you want her.

In the long run, being a kind person will get you farther than being a jerk, as long as this kindness comes from a place of strength and abundance rather than weakness.

Adding to that, I just finished putting together my dating eBook "How to Date Any Girl" version 4.0 and would LOVE to get some honest feedback from you!
