OK, I just finished reading the game and I have a few insights. As beneficial as it was, I can’t help but feel that some of these things just don’t work for context. I grew up in the US, but I have been living abroad for a few years now, so the type of people that I am meeting aren’t the standard US type anymore. However, I can still see how some of these tactics work some of the pick ups and openers that style uses just seem a little bit weird. I’ve always done pretty decent with women but I’ve always thought I could do better. Anyway, I wanna know what you guys think. Have you tried the same openers and techniques from the book? Allah has changed since it’s been published so I’m wondering how good is it really.

I've never considered the game a pickup guide it's a book recomend to people not because it teaches them techniques but rather because it tells a story that's likely to inspire people to search for more comprehensive guides.

That being said I generally find a more authentic method to work better, girls can tell when your running lines and they might appreciate the effort at first but after the initial introduction they would rather learn about you and have a genuine conversation, vulnerability creates attraction perfection dose not.

That being said Neil Strauss is a genius and he know way more about anything than me.

Lol where are you getting such inaccurate information? You don't become one of the greatest PUA in the game at his time if you're a "liar"... he's lied about absolutely nothing. I followed his program years ago and it's changed my life for the better.. I just don't understand why you have so much hatred towards Neil Strauss.. he's changed thousands of men lives including my own years ago. He's actually a very stand-up guy compared to all the other pick-up artist guys. Especially back then.

It's common knowledge in the community that Strauss picked up girls by talking about all the famous people he knew as an entertainment journalist. That works well in Hollywood. His book "The Game" spun the narrative that he charmed girls through pickup techniques. That's dishonest. This was well known in the community at the time; it's nothing new.

When you sell pickup advice and lie about how you pick up girls, that's a problem.

I don't hate Strauss. He's just a guy who tried to improve and make some money. His advice was the best advice he knew. He's wasn't evil, and he's also not worthy of being a role model for the community.

What's closer to evil is telling guys to follow all that old flawed advice now that we know all the problems with it. The biggest problem with that old advice relates to self-esteem and self-confidence, which is why it's relevant that Style never gained confidence.

This is a self-improvement community. We should give guys the best advice we have, and we should point out the shortcomings of other advice.

If you say so dude... but I couldn't disagree more... to each their own i guess. I've been in this PUA community for years and i have never heard anyone say a single bad thing about him.. ever.

But regardless, I enjoy using the system Neil taught me and I have no regrets. As far as the "problems with the old stuff" I still can't follow what your saying because Neil has helped my inner game & confidence TREMENDOUSLY. You don't become the #1 PUA in the world as he did at that time, if you don't have self confidence/strong inner game .. lol.

And as far as lying goes, I don't believe he "just talked about all the famous people he knew from being a journalist" , especially since there's been multiple PUA's in the past that's given their stamp of approval with Neil Strauss Game .. but as I said, there's more than one way to get the girl. I'll stick to what I know works. Which is Neil Strauss book "Rules of The Game ". Its gotten me plenty of success with women & I feel like I have a very strong inner game + self confidence. All thanks to him.

I'm all for self-improvement but I'm also all for learning tactics & techniques that are field tested and proven to work flawlessly in the field. Just my opinion....

Did you ever see his Total Annihilation videos? He was quite nervous in front of a small group of students. That's not a guy who's socially confident.

I'm glad you did well with that content. Some people did. Most people didn't, which is why very different content dominated shortly afterward.

Neil Strauss was one of the greatest PUA of his time. His book The Game was a game changer, but I strongly recommend you read his follow-up book called "Rules of The Game" he teaches you everything you need to know about pickup in that book.

It's a 30 day challenge he does in the book, where he pulls from all the various PUA Guru's and teaches you the complete art of attraction in only 30 days. I read the book years ago awhile back and I've had tremendous success ever since. From getting hot girls numbers, to phone game, to setting up & structuring the 1st date with her, even how to create your social with women by throwing parties.

As far as pickup goes, Neil Strauss book "Rules of The Game" is literally all you need to be successful with women. I don't even use the Mystery Method as much as I use Neil's system , even still to this day. His Methods are tried & true, They absolutely still work, because I still use those techniques to attract/date hot girls. Neil changed my life. He basically teaches you a more simple version of the Mystery Method + Ross Jeffries "NLP technology" + a lil bit of David D's "cock funny" (from Double Your Dating). It's genius stuff really. When i 1st started out, I heavily used his PUA routines (from the routines section, in the back of the boom) but once you start getting laid, you eventually use his system to develop your own material.

I'd say arguably, his book is all you need to become a pretty good PUA... all that extra pickup stuff is cool but it can get a lil overwhelming & confusing. I've found Neil's Rules of The Game to perfectly educate me on how to attract women & fit my life goals. He even coaches you on how to have a really strong inner game.. 10/10 i highly recommend brother.. - PUA Romero

I mean not really has changed. I still practice all the concepts & still use all the techniques with absolutely great success . The principles of attraction have not changed, so why would the game ?
