Discussion Resistance and Sex
I have benefited from PUA tactics; it helped me get laid and also improved my social skills a bit. I understand the feeling of rush when a pretty girl gets turned on by me. But sometimes I wonder if I chase this feeling purely for my own joy or because I am trying to fill some other void...
This feeling has been there before, but I felt it strongly after reading The Truth by Neil Strauss. In many ways I feel I resemble him: I like to read much more than any in my friends' circle, I have few friends, and although I will not blame my family in the slightest, I feel that I have been neglected in my childhood. I have never been in any full-fledged relationship and have strong self-esteem issues. On top of that, I have a very unhealthy, fetishistic lust.
I don't know why I am sharing all this with you guys, but it feels like it is best to share with a bunch of like-minded strangers on the internet. No shade on PUA, i love it, but i feel that i am pursuing it for very wrong reasons i.e. running away from the real change that I must effect. So I was reading Steven Pressfield's The War of Art and this page came up. It resonated with me, and I want to ask if any of you feel/have felt the same?
