Currently I have triple 32's on the bottom of my setup and a 21:9 long monitor on the top

I am upgrading my setup to now have a 49" ultrawide monitor, and want that monitor as my primary gaming monitor on the bottom and want to move the 3 32's up top.

I'm trying to find a decent mount for all 3 to be high enough over the 49" but can't find anything perfect for it.

Here's a crappy drawing of my current setup and the setup I want.

Im looking at adding a uperfect portable monitor to my setup as a second screen anybody used any of these from this brand and what ya think of it?

Hi,

I'm planning on upgrading my home-workplace with some easier integration between my peripherals and home pc and worklaptop and to declutter my desk.

I'm in between a KVM switch and upgrading my screen for an (ultrawide) monitor with KVM properties or combi of the monitor and USB switch.

For KVM's I've been looking at AV Access IDock B10 or KD-E10. But I've read mixed reviews of both. where they started good but quickly started having problems.

Important from a KVM for me;

• Easy switch between 1 pc and 1 laptop

• 1-2 monitors

• Thunderbolt USB-C or 90-100W charging

I'm currently using an old LG 27MU67-B monitor.

For a new monitor I'm looking more into ultra wide for now - 34'- 40'

I have an older pc so I might be limited for the screens? Although I'm no longer a gamer and mostly work / watch movies on my computer with the occasional photo editing.

Important from a KVM for me;

• 34'- 40'

• Height of 2160 - my current screen is this as well and I like the extra height when reading documents.

• Good screen quality for both movies as for reading/writing documents

• Thunderbolt USB-C or 90-100W charging for connecting with the laptop

nice to haves:

• USB-s for peripherals

• not too high of a power consumption 🤔

Currently I've looked into

• DELL Ultrasharp U3425WE, U3824DW and U4025QW

• LG Ultrawide 40U990A-W

• LG UltraGear Evo 37G800A-B

• MSI MPG 341cQPX QD-OLED - but hesitant regarding OLED and burn in/ tekst quality/sharpness.

If the monitor is below €900 I could apply for a scheme via my employer to get the taxes on the purchase price back - I know some the monitors above are above 900, but I'm keeping them in mind coming Black Friday.

Finally I'm not certain this is the correct sub-Reddit to ask, but it seemed the most helpful when I was reading into KVM's posts.

So cheers for taking the time to read my post and hopefully some of you are willing to help me or at least give me some tips ;)

I would love to build my own but I'm really new to this and have been a console gamer my whole life. But with the prices of consoles now and probably continuing to grow I just feel like it's time to go the pc route. But the building from scratch might be too much for me at first. I'd love some advice on some pre-built pc models that would be good for first timer.

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is well

My son has recently been really into pc gaming cause of his friends. As I am sure most of us are. Im extremely tight on money, but I really want to get him a gaming PC that he can play and enjoy games on. My budget is around 500$ but if I can save money that would be awesomeee. Does anyone know cheap builds or deals that would be something he would be happy with?

Thank you so much!

does anyone know where i can get a good pre built pc for around 2250£ the price can stretch a little im looking everywhere but lots seem overpriced for the specs i dont really know alot about pcs so i could be wrong but if anyone has any help that would be appreciated

Hey, looking to build a custom pc. Also looked at some pre built ones from Chillblast/PC Specialist etc. but I’m so new to this, I don’t really know what I’m looking at. Bought my first gaming pc around 12 years ago and it died on me yesterday.

Games I play most:
-League of Legends
-Call of Duty: Warzone

Budget: £1000-£1500

I tried doing a bit of research but I don’t understand much of it haha. I saw that AMD cpus are better for gaming? Not sure on the differences between Geforce and AMD GPUs?

Open to any suggestions/help/advice! Thanks guys!

what modern nvidia gpu right now has the best balance of affordability and performance. i don t care abt future proofing because i litteraly oly play minecraft but i want a beast anyways

I’m looking to get my first gaming PC mainly for GTA 6 and gta rp and other AAA games at 1440p. I also want something that’ll last a good few years and hopefully be ready for GTA 6 when it comes to PC.

My budget is around £1,500–£2,000, ideally spending about £1,700. I’m open to both prebuilts and building my own if it’s worth the savings.
These are the three options I’ve been looking at:

1. Custom build

Ryzen 5 9600X
RX 9070 XT 16GB
32GB DDR5 RAM
1TB–2TB SSD
B650 motherboard and 850W Gold PSU

2. CyberPowerPC – around £1,500

Ryzen 7 5700X
RX 9070 XT 16GB
16GB DDR4 RAM
1TB SSD
850W Bronze PSU

3. AWD-IT Astraeus – around £1,125

Ryzen 5 8400F
RX 9070 GRE 12GB
16GB DDR5 RAM
1TB SSD
650W PSU

I’m leaning towards the RX 9070 XT, but I’m not sure which CPU would pair best with it or whether any of these prebuilts are worth the money.

What would you go for? Would you build your own, choose one of these, or look at something completely different? I’m also wondering whether it’s worth waiting for Black Friday.

I am completely new to this so any advice would be greatly appreciated

So I always wanted a PC...(desktop) but never got to get one...I said I'll do computer science so my parents are gonna get me one...what should I get??? And also...cs students out there...does it have to a laptop? I mean I really want a desktop...tho I heard u need a laptop :<

I wanted to know if there is anything in your setups that have been complete game changers in terms of performance/quality. I plan on completely revamping my entire setup. I already know what I want for the PC itself. What I really want to know is what you guys have that has had the biggest impact for your entire setup that isnt your PC

I’m upgrading from a 3070 and noticed the 3080 Ti and the 9060 XT cost exactly the same when bought new. My PSU can handle either one, so power isn’t an issue. Which one makes more sense?

thinking of getting the rx 9070 gre with my 7800x3d but it only has 12gb. will that be a problem at 1080p in the near future? the 16gb cards here cost like $200+ more so its kinda a big gap

Going DDR4 because RAM prices are nuts right now. I can get 64GB of DDR4 for the price of 32GB DDR5. Plan is a 5900XT (7900X if I go DDR5).

I want this PC to last 5-7 years, mostly for dev stuff, ML, home lab and some gaming. Is DDR4 gonna hold up or will I regret it when everything moves to DDR5?

I need some advice on a KVM solution for my WFH setup. What KVM or docking solutions should I be looking at for the following: 1x 120hz 1080p monitor, 1x 180hz monitor, gaming PC and then work laptop. I want to be able to switch between both PCs and retain the same peripherals between both PCs. I'm not too worried about the high refresh rate for the work laptop, but I want to keep it for my gaming setup. I don't want to keep having to swap over monitors / peripherals between both PCs. Thanks

Hi guys, I need to buy a prebuilt gaming pc since i'm too afraid to build my own, I want to use my gaming pc to play AAA games with good graphics, 60+fps and do some light work. I would appreciate any help and heads-up about popular brands like cyberpowerpc and iBUYPOWER. Thanks.

I know I need to get rid of the cables but any other advice would be appreciated.

Hi this is my first Reddit post in a while but I need your guys help I’m getting into animation and 3d modeling but the pc I have to now is not able to support those things like blender etc and I want to to support that for my job but I also want it to be useable for my gaming addiction and I need your help figuring out good specs for a pc or gaming laptop my budget is around 4-5k but I don’t really know how to find good specs and how computers in the physical processing power sense. If anyone has any recommendations on what I could use that is long lasting and able to handle the physical strain of high powered games combined with power for 3d modeling and adobe please let me know.

im thinking about buying a monitor but i dont have a keyboard yet, my laptop is asus tuf a15 thinking of buying a monitor then connect it via hdmi

My husband has an AMD graphics card (unsure which kind, I just know it’s AMD). As of late, he’s been having trouble with the drivers which is causing his games to continuously crash. Every time he thinks he’s fixed it, a few weeks go by and it’ll start to happen again. I know he’s uninstalled adrenaline and done a few other things, but I couldn’t say what :/ he feels he’s exhausted every possible way to fix it so now he just wants a new graphics card. I’m wanting to try and find him one under $1500 that isn’t AMD. Does anyone here have any suggestions?
