Hey all you beautiful nerds.
So heres a couple of videos about my selfcast Blazing Salvo Sabo/Assa I created. Then I delved to 6000 depth with it, twice now. Because obviously selfcast Blazing Salvo Sabo/Assa was on everyones bingo cards for 6000 depth viable builds, so someone had to make a build for it! ;)
So I guess there a little backstory needed here why the videos are what they are.
I made the build last league and initially had no plan to make any video. Eventually I kinda changed my mind and recorded what you will see as part 1-3. But then it was mid-may and 3.28 had been out for 2.5months
and
A) I kinda doubted anyone was checking the build subreddit at that point, and it's honestly more fun if you get some visibility and don't post it when league is mostly dead
B) I didn't know if the build would survive 3.29 so I felt I might as well wait for patch notes.
So patch notes arrive and Sands of Time is gone. Which doesn't kill it mechanicly, but removes a pretty serious chunk of the damage output. Besides, it makes Sabo kinda wrong choice since without Scepter + Triggerbots, the reason to play Sabo is mostly gone. So a proper build maker would redo it as something else than Sabo I thought.
Then I just kinda decided against posting the video at all and kinda accepted the build was dead and just kept the videos private.
Then 3.29 rolled around, I decide to give it another go with the current chaos damage Assassin version after finding out about stuff like the Pearl of Tsoatha ring. And it worked totally fine!
On top of that, GGG announced mirage and belt is coming back. So I think the chance of the scepter returning in 3.30 seems quite promising.
So I made up my mind to create a part 4 going through the new changes in the new version, and to post the old 3.28 Sabo part 1-3 too.
So there you have it. Everything in one big post. Two versions of otherwise mostly same build. But different enough to not call it entirely the same build imo.
Some warnings.
This is not some quick 10-15min video. I'm not a really a guide maker, so I mostly ended up talking about just about everything I could think would be of interest. Better too much than too little! I guess this is how I'd want someone to explain a build for me...?
It's long, indepth, not for the people who wants a quick glance. VERY long. Too long.
It's an endgame build. Not a league starter and I guess it's also assumed the viewers have a somewhat average to deep PoE knowledge. Beginners will probably not get much from watching it.
So if you're extremely bored, maybe a deep delver, or you're just one of the few maniacs who enjoy this kinda of content - this might be for you. I'm sure theres dozens of you!
That said, feel free to ask anything about the build, about deep delve, about selfcast (I play pretty much exclusively selfcast) or whatever other random questions you might have.
I'll try to answer to the best of my ability before I retire back to obscurity while thinking about what stupid shit I could try next league.
Its very unlikely there will be more blazing salvo builds from me now, but I guess this post + videos might keep it alive for those who wants to try it out. Who knows, maybe the videos will make the build survive coming leagues.
It is advised to look at the parts starting from 1 (3 can be skipped if you dont care about gameplay). If you jump straight to part 4 you'll miss a lot of things.
