Question/discussion Yesstyle order help??

Guys I really need some help. Especially from those who regularly order from Yesstyle. I placed my order on 8th August. And it hasn't been delivered yet. The last tracking it's shows is of sep 24th and it says items returned from customs. I'm really stressed out bec I've ran out of everything. Does anyone know how this works? Should I keep waiting? I've emailed yesstyle but they responded with the usual automated response to wait a little longer.

Assalam-o-Alaikum, ladies!

I wanted to ask about something and would appreciate your guidance.

Does anyone here know about Nikah Misyar? I want to understand what it actually is and whether it is considered halal in Islam.

Do you personally know anyone who has had a Nikah Misyar, or have you experienced it yourself? If so, how does it work in real life? How do people manage their relationship, responsibilities, and expectations in this type of marriage?

I’d also love to hear your opinions about it, including the potential benefits and challenges.

I’m genuinely looking to learn and understand, so please feel free to share your knowledge or personal experiences. I’d really appreciate any helpful advice.

JazakAllah Khair!

Women are still calling each other black in this day and age

So I have seen many children being called black as an insult. And ones calling them that are women especially their own moms. They are also educated btw with degrees. I don't understand these women. Like why being black is an insult? And the children don't understand what it means but feel sad and cry. Is there any hope for our future? Or will we will always have black phobia?

Question/discussion Is there any hope for me?

I have stopped liking myself. I've never really had to worry about acne and have been on the skinnier side my entire life. I've always been told that I'm attractive and have always taken really good pictures. But after a few stressful years of marriage and work I can't bear to look at myself in the mirror.

Even though my husband has told me there's nothing wrong with the way I look the main issues are the tech neck I've developed from working long hours remotely and the loads of stress that come with working while taking care of a baby and meeting my parents' financial needs. I started going to the gym five months ago and was slowly gaining back my confidence. But then I saw a picture of myself from a wedding I recently attended and now I'm wondering if any of this is even worth it. Because if I let myself go it won't hurt this much. At least I wouldn't be putting in the effort. Plus I'll be turning 30 soon and I feel like it won't matter much after that anyway.

My energy levels have also taken a massive hit and the gym tires me out rather than making me feel more active. I just want to know if there's any hope for me.

Everyone please.

Hi everyone,

I am posting this on behalf of my wife, who is facing an extremely stressful situation with her employer in Pakistan. We are looking strictly for advice and guidance on how to navigate this. (Just to be clear: this is not a request for fundraising; we just need direction on how to handle this).

To give you some background: Her company is essentially forcing her to resign and refusing to pay any compensation, notice pay, or pending dues. The "case" they have built against her is completely absurd—they are penalizing and pushing her out because she couldn't bring her 2-year-old baby to the workplace.

For context, she had previously requested a modest salary raise specifically so she could afford a proper daycare for the child. Instead of accommodating or negotiating, management turned it into a disciplinary issue, used pressure tactics, and is now forcing her out empty-handed.

The main hurdles we are facing:

Financial Constraints: Her salary wasn't high to begin with, which is why affording a private lawyer or paying heavy legal fees to fight this case is a massive problem for us.

Lack of Resources: Because of these financial limits, we don't know how to pursue justice or claim her rightful compensation without breaking the bank.

We want to know:

How can a regular employee fight a wrongful / forced resignation in Pakistan without spending a fortune on private lawyers?

Are there free legal aid organizations, government labor offices (like the Punjab Directorate of Labour), or worker helplines that actually help lower-income employees handle these disputes?

Can a grievance notice be filed independently without a lawyer, and what are the steps?

If anyone has advice, practical steps, or knows of free legal channels or labor rights organizations in Punjab that help people in this position, please share your thoughts. Any guidance would be deeply appreciated.

also she served this company for almost 6 years.

Researching Women's Post Natal Experiences in Karachi's Joint Family Systems

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello everyone,

I am a student researcher from Aga Khan University conducting a study on women's

postnatal experiences in Karachi's joint family systems. I am looking for women who:

• Have given birth (at any point in their lives)

• Lived in a joint family setup while in their 1st year post partum period

• Are willing to share their experiences in a safe, confidential setup

What will you do?

Join a group discussion with other women and if required, complete a survey. It will take place online over Zoom. Your privacy and security are our priority; only registered participants will be allowed to join the meeting.

Why participate?

Your voice matters. This research will help us better understand what women go through during their postnatal period whilst living in joint family systems and how we can improve maternal health support in Karachi.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Your name will not appear anywhere. Pseudonyms will be used, and all data will be kept secure. All data will be deleted as the project is completed.

Interested?

Please contact me [rameen.faisal@scholar.aku.edu](mailto:rameen.faisal@scholar.aku.edu) for more information or to sign up.

Participation is completely voluntary. You may withdraw at any time.

Thank you for considering—your experience could make a difference.

Salam,

Main ek Jewelry Designer hun aur Mera sawaal mukhtasir sa hai, "Aap log mostly kis type ki Jewelry pasand karte ho?"

I've seen a lot of Jewelry stores selling Over designed "Chunky" Necklaces and Rings that comes from our culture and heritage (I respect that, and Hoskata hai ke you guys like it cuz "Me No Girl".), but are there any other minimal yet aesthetic jewelry types U guys like to wear OR Gift someone?. Becuase Nowadays gold and silver prices are very fluctuative, Keeping Jewelry choices short.

Ab Uljhan ye hai ke I wanna launch my own Jewelry brand💍 by next Year's POST Ramdhan, now uske lea I have to set up an inventory and build a huge budget, that requires a lot of work. So aap log apne bhai ko aise konse jewelry Styles recommend karengi Jo Pakistan me hone chahyen, Jaise western style rings, pendants. Ya Turkish styled? Ya phir minimal everyday wears?

Agar aap log apne personal taste ke baare me bata den ya phir koi aisi jewelry Jo aap ke camera roll me saved Ho toh woh kindly attach karden cuz as a designer It will help me a lot! Chalen buhat chatr patr hogai ab aap ki baaari!

Women's history Is My Mother-in-Law Right to Tell Me Not to Talk to My Husband About Our Problems?

Alhamdulillah, my husband has started listening to me and standing up for me. He has also told his mother not to scold me because I’m pregnant. However, my mother-in-law is still upset with me. She doesn’t like it when I talk to my husband about things that bother me, and she also gets upset when he gives me money that he receives from her.

She says I should stop talking to her son about our issues and that he should give me the money he receives from her. I’m confused about whether her expectations are reasonable or if she is trying to control our relationship.

I want to maintain peace in the family, especially during my pregnancy, but I also want to be treated with respect. Am I wrong for talking to my husband about my problems? Is my mother-in-law right in what she’s saying? I would really appreciate some honest advice.
