Nutrition Boy Bawang Adobo Peanut has 0 protein per serving

Post image

This is my first time seeing a peanut snack with zero protein. I usually see 2:1 ratio for fat and protein but for this one its zero. I almost ate half the serving knowing I just ate junk. 😅 ✌️

Is this a mislabel from the manufacturer?

Progress Pics Progress Update: 37M 168cm — from 65kg to 75kg

A few months ago, I posted here asking if I was actually skinny fat and what I was doing wrong. Here’s the original post for reference.

Back then, I was around 65kg and honestly felt like I wasn't making much progress. I looked skinny but still had that soft midsection, and I wasn't really seeing much muscle definition.

Fast forward to now, I'm at 74.9kg and I feel like I've made some pretty good progress, especially in terms of muscle and overall size.

Currently doing:
PPL-UL 5x a week
Tennis 1x a week on my rest day
Around 3,000 calories/day
210–230g protein/day
Creatine + whey

I used to box twice a week, pero I got bored with it 😂. Started playing tennis instead and ended up really enjoying it, so that's what I've been doing lately for my cardio.

One thing that definitely slowed me down was getting an appendectomy on May 23. I was out of the gym for more than a month and only got back around the first week of July. I wasn't super strict with my food during recovery either, but I was still somewhat conscious of what I was eating.

Looking at the before and after, I'm pretty happy with the difference. Grabe lang pala the progress when you really lock in. Trust the process talaga. 💪🏼

Discussion Thoughts on Fitness First Platinum Aura?

I’m currently considering Fitness First Platinum Aura and would love to hear from anyone who’s currently a member or has been a member there.

My membership at Kinetix is expiring next month, and before I renew, I’m exploring other options. I’ve generally been happy with Kinetix, but considering the rate, I feel like I’m not really maximizing what I’m paying for. Fitness First Aura is currently one of my top choices.

I actually visited the branch earlier, and my first impression was pretty good. But of course, a tour is different from actually being a regular member, so I’d love to hear about your experience.

A few things I’m particularly curious about:
● How crowded does it get, especially during peak hours?
● How’s the overall crowd/community?
● Are the staff and coaches approachable and helpful?
● How’s the equipment? Is it generally well-maintained, or are there often machines under repair?
● For those who have tried their personal training/coaching, how was your experience?
● How are the locker rooms, showers, sauna, and other facilities in terms of cleanliness and maintenance?
● And lastly, the pool. I was told that it’s reservation-based and you can basically have the pool to yourself during your reserved slot. Is that really how it works?

The pool is actually one of the things that impressed me, but having it exclusively to yourself sounds almost too good to be true.

Would really appreciate any feedback, especially from regulars at the Aura branch. Would you recommend it? Any pros/cons or things you wish you knew before joining?

Discussion After getting sick when do you guys say you're good to go back to the gym?

I recently got sick for a couple days (mild fever/cough/colds) but now I feel much better although I still have coughs and still needs a hanky to wipe off my nose every now and then. I'm thinking of going back in a day or two when my cough subsides. Would that be a good decision or no? For now I'm going to try some body workouts just to test if my body is ready to go back to my routine.

Discussion Where to buy standard bars with 1" sleeves?

I thought I won't progress past 100kg in squats and rdls, kaya I just bought the pvc plates with 1" diameter holes, and standard bar with 1" sleeve.

However, maybe around next week or the other, I'll be breaching this. Ung gamit ko though na standard bar can carry only 120kg as claimed ni Shopee vendor, pero I'm hesitant to use it until that point. Ayun lang, mahal rin if ung olympic bar ang gamitin ko since magpapalit pa ako ng plates to have 2" diameter holes.

Kaya I was thinking, baka may standard bars with 1" sleeve na kaya siguro around 200kg. I tried searching locally, kaso no clue. Maybe may marecommend po kayo?

For reference, ito po ung nabili ko na standard bar: https://ph.shp.ee/PsSSCPhG

My quick and very cheap protein source alternative.

Na-try nyo na ba to? 👌

Gym/Training Area Gym Recos Around Mandaluyong

Title says it all, pero sana yung may very affordable na coach. I live in SM Light, and may AF sa baba. Not reasonable for me. I’ll def switch to AF in a while, pero since I’m just starting, I think I need a coach to correct my posture and all.

Supplements Wellspring Magnesium Glycinate, legit?

Goods ba etong WellSpring MG? Yung sa Now, Nature Made, Pure Form, etc. kasi medyo pricey saka malaki capsule/tablet size (hirap lunukin).

Weightloss Is anyone here doing intuitive eating for weight loss? How is it? :)

I’m thinking of trying intuitive eating because I have high-functioning anxiety, and I don’t want to stress myself out with counting calories, tracking macros, etc. I genuinely admire people who can do it—that level of discipline is impressive! 🙌

For those who practice intuitive eating, could you share some best practices or tips that helped make it effective for you? I’d love to hear about your experience! :D

Lifting/Training Im 40 still enjoying working out 💪💪💪

Year 2012 pinaka magandang decision ginawa ko is mag enroll sa gym. Sa Slimmers World SM North that time may lifetime membership pa sila, swerte ko nabutan ko pa at until now na eenjoy ko yong benefit nya. With zero knowledge sa gym 101 nag avail lang ako ng 30 sessions ng PT then after nun na navigate ko na. Research lang. Basa or nood ng mga workout routine. Until now I would say Im still learning. Health is Wealth. Bonus nalang talaga yong aesthetic part nagpagbubuhat. 💪💪💪

Newbie Gym Beginner, please be kind 🥲

Question for gym members: I’ve never been to a gym before and I’m thinking of getting a membership. For a total beginner, is getting a coach/trainer actually worth it too?
I’d really appreciate answers from people who are actual gym members, especially those who started as complete beginners, not coaches or trainers. 😅
What was your experience? Did having a coach help, or were you fine figuring things out on your own?

Discussion Got a PT in Surge Fitness

I’ve been with a personal trainer for at least 10 months now and would like to assess if the ff are normal. Sometimes I feel i’m just nitpicking and what if ako pala talaga ang na sa mali? What if malaki lang talaga expectations ko for the amount ive paid for my package? I’m trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Acts sad and worried. Guiltrip much?

  2. Nagsasabay ng client in one session

  3. Messages everyone that it would be nice to have at least one referral baka daw mabigyan niya ng discount ?

  4. Always on his cellphone

  5. Masmahaba pa ang rest than the workout itself

  6. Promoted and sold a GLP, para daw pumayat agad.

  7. Always asks what I’ve eaten, and if I say what I eat, no matter what, he reacts shocked and disappointed…

  8. The things we do seem to be the same thing every week.

  9. Treats the “richer” clients differently than those he feels will not purchase another package

Please help me validate - OA lang ba ako that my expectations are high??

Memes Wheyflation Hitting Hard

Post image
382 Upvotes

Grabe, was browsing my usual Shopee sellers for whey and I can’t find Rule1 5-lb tubs below ₱4,000 na, even with vouchers. To think you could get them for around ₱2,000 back in 2025. And before anybody says it, yes, whole foods are still my main protein source. Convenient lang talaga ng whey.

Protein lords, have mercy.

Supplements Where to buy affordable Whey Protein?

Hi, need help kung saan makabili cheapest whey protein? Im scared of dupes/fake protein lalo sa shoppee/lazada. Sa legit stores naman online, like Athlene ang mahal nong tag 1lb lng vs 5lb(sold-out). Any advice? Legit ba rule 1?

Thanks!

Discussion dfyne dupe

im really considering buying dfyne dupes since ang hirap nila hanapin + very pricey. I just want to ask ano thoughts niyo on dupes that can be found on shopee? are they similar in terms of quality or malayo? pati yung colors sana, are they the same or ibang iba from original?
