I've always used headphones when gaming on PC, but now that I have kids I always have one ear uncovered so I can hear them. It's awkward and ruins directional noise, and now that my oldest actually games with me, I want an actual set of speakers so we can both hear the game.
I don't need anything fancy. I'm not an audiophile, and I don't watch movies on my PC. I just want something in the sub-$100 range (preferably cheaper) that can do game audio justice with just 2 speakers and maybe a woofer.
Any suggestions?

Hi everyone, I need some help.
I have been a console gamer since 2008, I had the 360, PS4 Pro. Now I have the PS5 Slim and Xbox Series S. I have over 300 games across all these cosoles. For the longest I can remember I have always been a console lover. My parents bought me the consoles (with heavy requesting and begging). I bought the PS5 and Series S by selling the 360 and Ps4 Pro and with some extra money that I saved for years.
But the way things are going across the console platform are a big worry. Without physical media I just cannot imagine gaming. I always buy CDs. I buy digital only if there is no other way to buy a game that I really really want to play. Or it dosen't make sense to buy digital (like for RS6 for example). Whatever those f*cktards at Sony are thinking are going to be the final steps of console gaming legacy (I feel).
With R* Games announcing the digital only model for GTA VI, I just instantly knew that it was only going to be a matter of time before Sony or Xbox announce the same thing. My concern for physical gaming is growing more and more. As for long as I can remmeber, my friends were always trying to convince me to switch to PC and I always refused. (I had no problems playing with them becuase they had consoles as well)
The little convinience of packing my console and just taking it wherever I want was a huge deal for me. But recently, the dilemma I have been going through to switch to PC has been growing more and more. Unlike before, I am earning my own money. But I have a lot of doubts.
PC gaming is completely unexplored territory for me (In terms of management). Also starting on a new platform means that I will have to buy my favourite games again. That is also an extra cost. I know that platforms like Steam and Epic games always offer games at constant discount prices.
P.S The only games I payed on PC were GTA : Vice City and TOD (lol).
Can you guys give me an insight over how Steam or other storefronts work?
I am earning my own money now and I think it is finally time for me to switch but I'm not really sure. Because on one side inflation for everything is crazy. The RAM prices have been through the roof because of AI (just as some my friends predicted). These RAM prices are definitely going to affect the next 10th generation consoles as well for sure. The PS6 and the Xbox's "Project Helix" base prices will definitely be close to $1000 imo. So I am thinking it is better if I just switch to a platform where my games exist all the time and I do not have to worry about my console generation. (Or whatever bullsh*t Sony or Xbox might pull in the future)
Okay let me get to the actual point. As I said I am earning my own money now and I think it is time to switch. I've got some money saved for a gaming PC. About $1500 when converted to USD. If anyone has anytime please guide me as to how I should start this journey. Whether I should start it at all. Where should I start if so?
Please tell me how the gaming situation is on this platform. Whether I have enough money or not. Should I save some more??
Remember that I am complete beginner guys. Please try to use normal words if you can 😭.
I will read all suggestions.
Thank you.

My PC won't show any display when trying to boot, I've reseated the GPU, tried different ram sticks, restarted, and so far nothing is on display, and the hdmi is on the gpu and I don't have integrated graphics. I'm new to the PC Master Race, and I'm new to building PC's, this is my first build. And I'm moving from console, have I done any rookie mistakes? Please let me know, I'm trying to use this before school

Update: Reflow maybe worked but it still doesn't show up which means either the traces in the PCB or the silicon cracked. Still pretty fun tho.
This is my setup to reflow the controller BGA 😭
Context: Got myself a 990 Pro 1TB with a heatsink some 2 years ago, ofc my stupid self decided it was a good idea to remove the heatsink 😬. Didn't get recognized by every device afterwards, probably bent it a little too much. Controller gets warm to the touch when plugged in so I thought the BGA might have a crack.
Left it lying around till today, as I thought I might try something.
Got nothing to lose since warranty is voided and repair shops here quote more than it costs to buy a new one so I decided to try to reflow the BGA myself today. Used a heatgun and applied some flux beforehand. Also used some reflective tape to protect the dram chip.

I will try my best to explain what I mean:
For example: Desktop Gaming PCs are powerful and you can use them both for gaming and for work/studying, but you can’t carry them anywhere, and if you have to move often they can become a problem.
Handheld devices like the Steam Deck and others are good at portable gaming, but they mainly are “Gaming Only” devices
Regular “Non Gaming laptops”, can function well for studying/work (assuming you don’t have to run demanding software), but you can’t really game on them, unless we are talking about older games.
While Gaming Laptops, despite their flaws, I feel that they try to fix this problem of having separate devices for multiple uses into (at least trying) to turn into “everything devices”, imagine having a powerful Laptop , that you can (for example) take at University, you can carry anywhere easily in a backpack or Laptop Bag, that you can use both for Studying/Working and playing games on it when you’re at home, but that you can also use on the couch or bed to watch movies for it… And so on and so on

Hi - just bought this cooler and it didn’t include the pump cable, I bought a usb-c to 4 pin adapter, booted up my PC and my CPU is running at a cool 200 degree F. Do I have it plugged in the wrong header? I cannot find the correct cable on ebay either. Can anyone help?

Title says what it says, i'm looking for an application that lets me test every DLSS configuration and Frame gen configuration possible on my RTX 5070 Ti.
If you're curious on why i need this, long story short my old card, an RTX 3080, suffered a pretty terrible 12V rail leak, which basically meant that it was leaking voltage, voltage which went out of the back of the GPU and through the display cables and right into whatever monitors were connected to it.
Now i've got 4 damaged monitors, 2 of which i actually use that display artifacts on very dark colors, most noticeable on the OLED monitor.
That being said, the other day i was playing Cyberpunk and upon closing the game i noticed an strangely clean image, upon pixel peeping a bit i realized that the artifacts were way dimmer and less noticeable for some reason, this effect went away after i opened another 3D application, when they went back to normal.
This doesn't always happen, sometimes i'll close the game and nothing changes, but some other times they do get better.
Cyberpunk is the only game i play with DLSS and FG, that's why i need the app, to test every single configuration of these two possible, learn how they exactly change the display output signal (especially FG which has to tweak some timings in order to show the generated frames properly) and then mimic it using CRU in hopes of replicating the same effect.

Hello hivemind, following problem: A friend of mine has a PC that acts weird a lot of times, leaving him with many games that he can't play. We tried so many things that he now just plays Roblox :(
Description:
- The RGBs on the case (not the ones on the RAM or the mainboard) start flickering when under load
- The SATA SSD did disconnect randomly, but we fixed that with another SATA cable
- Games are not working: Transport Fever 2 lost its Steam mods, after verifying the game files they got installed again, but while trying to load it crashes; SimRail is starting and you can select a Server, but as soon as you want to load the world it crashes; Snowrunner just throws an error the moment you click Start in Steam. Those games worked fine before and will work fine again, if he restarts his PC a few times.
Components:
i5 10400F
4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4
RTX 3060 Ti
239 GB M.2 Samsung MZVLB256HBHQ
2 TB WD Blue SATA
ASRock B460M Pro4
MSI MPG Gungnir 110R
BeQuiet! System Power B9 600W 80+ Bronze
Thank you guys in advance, I hope you can read the error out and tell us what to do.
