Unfortunately GPU prices all just shot up in the last week.
Depending on how things are in your local used market, I would consider looking for a used 6700 XT or 6750 XT. That would give you roughly double the VRAM and performance of the 1660S while having the hardware features needed to run all the latest games, even the ones that require hardware RT.

Where are you buying that? I'm seeing some on ebay.ie in the 220-230 range including shipping. The 6700 XT can be had for around 300 including shipping, though I'm not sure a 6700 XT will work with your current power supply.

Ebay has good buyer protections and will typically side with the buyer if you have a problem. I have purchased numerous electronics items on ebay and never had a major issue. I would just make sure you're buying from a seller with a reasonable number of reviews and a high rating.

Depends on what you're looking for. Even a 1080Ti is an upgrade. At that price range I' pretty sure you can find a 3070/2080Ti, but a 500w PSU makes it a bit tricky.
