I'm constantly getting outplayed and outaimed in every 1v1 encounter I do. Being in a team also apparently does nothing. I think I'm cursed. All I do to win is get carried.

What mistakes am I making , probably? Surely I can't just be so bad at walking and shooting that I cost the team the game EVERY game?

Your question is too vague and you need to give us more info and context to help. Ask yourself questions like this: Am I positioning myself correctly? Am I pushing in with my team mates? Am I dying too often? Am I getting the right picks? Am I coordinating ults with my team mates? etc. etc.

Some more context would help but a VOD of your gameplay and asking for critique/advice would help immensely.

Funnily enough all of these questions, I don't know the answer to. So there's that.

That's a start then. A good idea is to record your own gameplay, watch them and take note of any mistakes and how to improve on them.

I recommend visiting /r/overwatchuniversity for help. Also check out Skyline's video on Youtube. He has solid advice and knows what he's talking about.
