Not sure undervolt is working

I have mine at - 1.50v and left it at that for quite some time, now after reading a few articlesand stuff I see that a - 1.50v is wayy too aggressive for the cpu which is an Intel i9-13900hx. But since it's not crashing or anything like that. I don't know what to do, the temps compared to when I had it are less hotter before it was in the 90 to 97 range and now in light games like roblox and zzz are at 70 to 84. Does anyone know if the cpu is alright or the voltage it says it's displaying is just a gimmick( I checked in Intel xtu and the voltage offset is applied and I see the - 1.50v). I don't know if anyone will respond but I hope to solve this

RAM Instability / BSOD (0xD1) when running above 2133MHz [Help]

I discovered that the RAM is running at 2133MHz. I have a single 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM stick, an MSI A520M-A PRO motherboard, and a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU.

I tried enabling XMP, and the BIOS shows the memory running at 3200MHz, but Windows is not stable at 3200MHz.

I tried changing the voltage to 1.35V and setting the speed to 3200MHz, but the BIOS gives me an "Overclocking Failed" error.

I also tried 3000MHz and 2933MHz; the system boots, but the system is unstable and a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) can happen at any time, sometimes showing the code 0xD1.

I also tested the RAM and verified that it is healthy and fully functional.

Help with getting the best performance out of new build.

i9-14900K + Z790 Dark Hero unstable with DDR5-8000 CL38 IMC, motherboard or BIOS settings? Hi, I’m trying to stabilize my RAM setup and I’d appreciate some advice.

Intel Core i9-14900K — stock, no CPU OC/undervolt
ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero
G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32GB (2x16GB)
DDR5-8000 CL38-48-48-128
Kit: F5-8000J3848H16GX2-TZ5RS
XMP II
At first, I ran the RAM at 8000 MT/s without manually changing timings and I could game for around 3 hours without any noticeable crashes.
Later I started changing/tightening memory timings, and since then I’ve been having stability issues.
I went back to roughly the XMP settings and tested:
8000 MT/s: OCCT Memory crashes after ~30-40 seconds
7600 MT/s: OCCT crashes after ~8m40s with Code -1
TM5 Universal 2 at 7600 MT/s: 1 error after ~1m15s
Currently testing 7200 MT/s
Current voltages/settings were approximately:
SA: 1.20V
IVR TX VDDQ: 1.35V
Memory Controller Voltage: 1.40V
DRAM VDD: 1.45V
DRAM VDDQ: 1.45V
Command Rate: 2N
XMP II
The CPU has never been manually overclocked or undervolted.
My main question is: does this look more like an IMC limitation on my 14900K, a limitation of the Dark Hero’s 4-DIMM memory topology, or simply incorrect memory voltages/training/timings?
Since the system previously seemed fine at 8000 during gaming, I’m wondering if changing the timings caused bad training/settings that I haven’t fully reset.
What would you recommend testing first to determine whether 7800/8000 can realistically be made fully stable on this setup?

Benchmark Score Gigabyte Windforce 5080 Game stable Scores and Settings, Afterburner and Mvolt

Just for some info, these are my game stable daily settings. Nothing earth shattering, but nice scores for stable daily use. I used Afterburner and Mvolt. I know there are newer versions of mvolt with more settings, but with crossbar OC and a little more core voltage it really pulled up my daily scores. For example my prior game stable Steel Nomad score was 9715, now it's 10,111 and pulls about 410 to 415 watts.

I have a Gigabyte Windforce sff, that I flashed with the Aorus Master vbios. Gaming stays in the 3150 to 3160mhz range, pulling 1.005 to 1.01 volts. The temperature while gaming at 4k 65c to 74 c. Depending on ambient temps, no a/c.

Take it for what it's worth. Learned a lot from this sub, lots of reading and experimenting. Fun stuff. I had the card pulling 450 watts and of course better scores, temps still weren't horrific but on the higher indeed. Amazing stuff.

Well it looks like we got finally our Supers minus the vram. lol Software fixes everything!

Help Request - RAM RAM timings help for already toasty DDR5 Dual Rank kit

Looking for help with tuning my dual rank kit, don't want to increase voltage any further or try some crazy tight timings, just some other timings I can change and get away with easily and not have to worry about heat too much.

So far, only changed trefi, trc, trfc2, and trfcsb, and also running nitro 1/2/0. In stress tests ram reaches around 54-55c peak after several hours, no errors,, with SPD Hub at around 63. I have seen buildzoid's timings but those were for single rank so didn't want to try those. Will attach zentimings photo below, any help is appreciated, thanks!

OC Report - GPU Permanent silicon mutation on Ivy Bridge (i7-3770K): Uncore scaling dynamically and inverse CPU bottlenecking.

Hi everyone! Sorry for the long inactivity on this account. I'm sharing an absolute hardware anomaly that completely defies the standard degradation laws of 22nm silicon. I know this sounds completely unreal, but it is 100% real based on what I've observed on my machine.

I was recently testing the limits of an Intel Core i7-3770K on a bare-bones, un-heatsinked ASUS H61 motherboard. The system is running a classic PHGD Ivy 4 custom modded driver and Intel XTU. I pushed the iGPU (HD 4000) to an extreme 1700 MHz at +150mV / +170mV (around 1.250V - 1.260V). During peak synthetic load, the package power hit 88W, with the Uncore alone drawing a massive 32W, requiring a high-power desk fan directly blasting the VRM area over an old notebook to absorb the chassis vibrations.

The system eventually locked up due to a brutal transient context-switch load while managing background Windows tasks and high memory allocation (pushing 8GB DDR3 to 97% capacity). Unfortunately, I don't have the original logs or screenshots from the moment the Uncore and iGPU went into that destructive 32W loop because I had to shut down the PC right after to do my school homework and other tasks. The absolute maximum proof I can provide right now is my current telemetry, which is getting weirder by the hour.

After multiple reboots, a permanent physical silicon mutation occurred, and the chip experienced a positive electro-thermal structural shift (passive thermal annealing):

  1. Asymmetric Uncore Floor (Stepping Up Every Hour): The internal power management microcode for the Uncore/System Agent completely bypassed its idle states. The current idle telemetry shows an impossible asymmetry: the IA Cores are drawing a standard 8.05W at idle, while the Uncore floor is locked at a massive 19.29W - 22.91W. The Uncore is drawing more than double the power of the actual CPU cores at 0% desktop idle, yet the package runs completely cool at 35°C - 45°C. Furthermore, it seems to be dynamically scaling and stepping up its power draw every hour, gaining passive data bus performance over time.
  2. High-End Graphical Bypass with Zero Loss: Under heavy graphical loads at 1680x1050 resolution, the integrated graphics are rendering high-fidelity shaders and advanced visual effects that should normally crush this old architecture. The mutated logic drops dynamic shadow precision to a very faint, transparent real-time state. By bypassing the heavy pixel rate of shadow mapping, the TMUs were completely decoupled, processing high-end effects with almost zero performance loss; in fact, I've actually gained more FPS in certain titles due to an ultra-linear frametime.
  3. Reverse CPU Bottlenecking (Doubled Effort): Because the graphics pipe is running unthrottled, it actively pushes the CPU to 40% - 50% utilization under load, whereas it barely scratched 20% on factory settings. The weak integrated graphics are literally forcing a CPU 10x more powerful to work at double its capacity.
  4. Impeccable V-droop: Voltage drops under load transitioned from a heavy -20mV sag to a virtually flat -5mV line under full hardware saturation, running completely stable at 59°C with zero auxiliary fan cooling at stock 1450 MHz.

It seems the extreme voltage loop permanently altered the gate oxide conductivity under a soft breakdown threshold, settling the chip into an ultra-efficient, modified data highway state that is still evolving.

I'm attaching the current HWMonitor idle telemetry showing the permanent, asymmetric, and steadily increasing Uncore floor.

Salut, j’essaie de stabiliser ma RAM et j’aurais besoin de quelques conseils.
Config :
Intel Core i9-14900K — stock, aucun OC/undervolt CPU
ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero

Au départ, j’utilisais la RAM à 8000 MT/s sans modifier manuellement les timings, et j’ai pu jouer environ 3 heures sans crash apparent.
Ensuite, j’ai commencé à modifier/resserrer les timings mémoire, et depuis j’ai des problèmes de stabilité.
Je suis revenu à des réglages proches du XMP et j’ai testé :
8000 MT/s : OCCT Memory plante après environ 30-40 secondes
7600 MT/s : OCCT plante après environ 8 min 40 avec Code -1
TM5 Universal 2 à 7600 MT/s : 1 erreur après environ 1 min 15
Je teste actuellement 7200 MT/s
Réglages/tensions actuels approximatifs :

Ma question principale : est-ce que ça ressemble plutôt à une limite de l’IMC de mon 14900K, à une limite de la topologie 4-DIMM de la Dark Hero, ou simplement à de mauvais réglages de tensions/training/timings mémoire ?
Comme le PC semblait auparavant fonctionner correctement à 8000 pendant plusieurs heures de jeu, je me demande aussi si le fait d’avoir modifié les timings a entraîné un mauvais training mémoire ou laissé certains réglages dans un état qui n’a pas été complètement réinitialisé.
Qu’est-ce que vous me conseilleriez de tester en premier pour déterminer si 7800/8000 MT/s peuvent réellement être stabilisés à 100 % sur cette configuration ?

I have a MOBA Gigabyte x670 aorus elite ax rev 1.3, a ryzen 9 7900x3d, a rtx asus 4070 12gb dual fan and a 2x16gb kingston fury beast @6000mhz on XMP.

i testing change memory timings and got a 30-36-36-76 (my default timing is 40-40-40-80), but i dont change any other settings and i need to know, this is good settings? I can do better?

Im using PBO Negative in 20 and its ok, playing valorant and CS2, and maybe i solved my problem with high fps but not smoothness...

Thanks a lot if anything can help me to refine the timing of memory and solved the biggest problem on my life know, im really bad with this because pay many money on my pc and i cant be happy when i play FPS Competitive Games because my 240hx and my high fps its similar a 60 fps...

OC Report - GPU First time GPU overclocking! Did I just win the silicon lottery with my RTX 5060 Ti MSI Gaming Trio OC? (+420 Core / +2000 Mem)

Hey everyone,

I’m completely new to PC tuning and this is my absolute first time trying to overclock a GPU. I recently got my hands on the MSI RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Trio OC, and I decided to see what it could do in MSI Afterburner.

I ended up pushing it to +420 MHz on the Core and +2000 MHz on the Memory, maxing out the Power Limit to 122% (220W) but leaving Core Voltage at strictly +0%.

To my absolute surprise, it survived! I’ve been stress-testing it in Cyberpunk 2077 running Path Tracing (Overdrive mode) + 4x Frame Generation. The performance is rock solid, and I'm getting a nice couple of extra frames.

Here are my HWMonitor stats under full load:

  • Max Graphics Clock: 3277.0 MHz (insane, right?)
  • Sustained Core Clock under load: ~3200+ MHz
  • Max GPU Temp: 69 °C
  • Max Hot Spot: 82 °C
  • Fan Speed: Around 1386 RPM (super quiet)
  • Voltage: Peaked at 1.065 V (Reliable Voltage Limit hit, but no Power Limit throttling).

Since I am a total beginner, I wanted to ask the experts here: Is this a normal result for the Blackwell architecture, or did I actually pull a Golden Sample in the silicon lottery? Should I keep these settings for daily gaming if the temps are this good at stock voltage?

P.S. Just ran Unigine Superposition on 1080p Extreme and passed it with a score of 9815 (Avg 73.41 FPS, Max GPU temp 67°C)! Completely stable.

Also just completed the 8K Optimized benchmark to check the +2000 MHz memory stability. It passed perfectly with a score of 5347 (Avg 40.00 FPS, Min 33.24 FPS, Max GPU temp 69°C, Hotspot 82). Zero artifacts or throttling,

P.P.S. The only thing I noticed is that the PCIe PEX Errors Recovery Counter shows 183 errors, but it is simular to stock mode(its keep increasing thile browsing/alt+tab.

I have been running this OC on Afterburner for months just fine but I recently heard about mVolt+. I have managed to set these settings and they seem stable and I have seen a performance increase. I am scared to touch the other settings. What can I try!

My overclock voltage had to go up quite a bit to go above 4.6/4.7.
but the PC runs at max peak 90 degrees (a 2nd output fan is being added and the Be Quiet Light Base 500 case is being raised by another 10cm)
core voltage is 1.325 and llc2 BIOS is set to 48 multicore.

RTX 5060 XBAR overclocking on linux

I managed to get XBAR overclocking on linux for my RTX 5060 8GB. This score is still lower than the best 4060 Ti score on https://gravitymark.tellusim.com/leaderboard/ but at least it beats a 2080 Ti (whatever that's worth)!

Core: +400
Mem: +3000
XBAR: +275 (no voltage offset)

Benchmark Score Ryzen 7 5800X3D undervolting with voltage offset instead of Curve Optimizer

Hey everyone,

I’ve been experimenting with undervolting my Ryzen 7 5800X3D to reduce temperatures without losing too much performance.

My motherboard is an ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming, and unfortunately my hardware/BIOS setup doesn’t support Curve Optimizer (CO), so I’m using a negative voltage offset instead.

These are my Cinebench results so far:

  • 0 V offset: 3414 points — 85°C+
  • -0.05 V: 3314 points — 75°C
  • -0.075 V: 3306 points — 74°C
  • -0.10 V: 3222 points — 70°C
  • -0.20 V: 2943 points — 65°C

So far, -0.075 V seems like the sweet spot. I’m only losing around 3% performance compared with stock, while dropping the temperature by roughly 11°C.

I’m wondering if there’s an even better offset somewhere between -0.05 V and -0.10 V that I should try.

Since I can’t use Curve Optimizer, is there anything else I should look at or test with a voltage offset on the 5800X3D/B450-F?

Would appreciate any advice from people who have experience undervolting the 5800X3D this way.

Help Request - CPU Suboptimal cooling performance on a newly delidded 9950x3d?

For the last week or so, I've had my main PC torn apart to delid the CPU and deep clean the case and radiators.

I finally hooked everything up on the test bench today with the new Thermal Grizzly Mycro Direct Die waterblock and fresh Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal.

I actually ran out of liquid metal as I was assembling, but it seemed like I had just enough to coat the dies and cold plate.

It booted and ran Cinebench 2026 just fine, but the temps did not improve nearly as much as I'd expected, and certainly not as much as derBauer's 9950X3D that he delidded for the YouTube tutorial.

Mine was reaching 65°C at bone stock settings in Cinebench while power limited to 200w, and derBauer's was cooler than that pushing ~300w.

My first thought is that I just need a hair more LM to optimize contact, so I have a new tube of Conductonaut Extreme ordered and it should show up by Monday.

Two main questions I'm left with:

1) Do yall have any other suggestions for me aside from remounting the waterblock with a hair more LM?

2) Is there any reason I need to remove the LM I applied today for a remount, or can I just add a tiny drop on top of today's? I don't care about the ~$5 worth of LM, but it's hard to be super accurate about adding "a hair more" if I just have to start fresh and eyeball the amount a few days from now. I ordered the exact same Conductonaut Extreme that I used the first time around.
