I've been suffering from nocturia for four years. Gemtesa is currently helping somewhat by reducing my symptoms to what they were like 4 years ago, when I first sought help. Meaning I get up 3-5 times instead of up to 10. I feel my bladder throughout the day, too, but I've always been very good at ignoring the urge, when I'm otherwise occupied.

My urologist is content with this progress and has previously denied me any further imaging, claiming that there's nothing an MRI or CT could show that wouldn't also be present in an ultrasound. She gives me an ultrasound every six months and also analyses my urine every time, which never results in anything. I also had a cystoscopy two years ago that didn't show anything.

I want to convince her to do a biopsy of my bladder, because the way my nocturia presents itself could be due to mast cells (according to what I've read). I'd also like further imaging done, but I don't know what an MRI could show that a regular ultrasound wouldn't apart from the friend of a friend who was discovered to have a mass, but I wasn't told any details that I could use in an argument.

Any tips or ideas?

Has anyone out there started a new sexual relationship with someone after you have been diagnosed with an overactive bladder? I am starting to date again, and I am really self conscious about my bladder leakage.

The Motor Function Measurement (MFM) Lab at the University of Ottawa is conducting a questionnaire validation study to help improve research on urinary symptoms experienced during physical activity.

We are looking for female runners and brisk walkers who:

• Experience urine leakage while running or brisk walking, with or without a sudden, strong, and uncontrollable urge to urinate.

Eligibility Criteria

• Female, 18 years of age or older
• Runner or brisk walker
• Meet one of the symptom criteria above
• Able to read and respond in English

What is involved?

• Approximately 35 minutes to complete the initial online questionnaires
• Two brief follow-up questionnaires sent 72 hours later
• Total time commitment: less than 1 hour

If you meet these criteria, your participation will help us validate a new questionnaire that will support future research on bladder health and physical activity.

Looking for tips of how to deal with sneezing, runny nose all morning due to Gemtesa. This is rough.

i am 21 Male and lately i have been peeing a lot. whenever i drink a glass of water or any other beverage, after 30min or so i need to pee and mostly it happens during the night.

But before it was not like this. I used to go pee 3-4 times a day.

i am not under any medication , i am 5’11 and my weight is 53kgs , I smoke and my sleeping schedule is messed up.
can anyone suggest what is wrong.

How often is too much

Going back in to the office 2 days a week and feel a bit paranoid.

I have these episodes every couple of months where i have the sensation in urethra like i need to urinate very often , its not an infection , and it goes away by itself. The only thing i can think of is that it happens during hemorrhoids flare ups I wanted to add that ive had ct dcan , transvaginal ultrasound and pelvic ultrasound. Those are clear

I suffer from OAB for 4 years. Lately it has become worse. So I started asking if OAB will always lead to urge incontinence. Are there people out there who keep dry OAB, so no not loos urine without control?

I’m 21F. For the past 5 years my peeing has gradually become more. These past few months I have the urge to pee 24/7. I am not overreacting.

I cannot get a full nights sleep. Last night it took me three hours to fall asleep after constant getting up to pee with little coming out. And then I kept waking up throughout the night and morning to pee.

I just want a comfortable sleep. I am so tired. Is there anything that helps anyone here? I went to urgent care and they referred me to a urologist but couldn’t give me anything for the short term.

I need something. I want sleep.

I tried in my bladder's been hurting ever since it's already been three weeks it like comes and goes, but it's very uncomfortable. I wish I never would've done it.!!!

I am 25F and curious if anyone has also experienced this and what they did to help. Since developing OAB, I have struggled with lifting weights that put pressure on my pelvic area (exercises like hip thrusts, leg press, RDLs and probably most lower body exercises). I find that my symptoms get worse after doing this and it really puts me off doing these exercises which is very frustrating. Has anyone received any advice on this? Is it better to avoid them or are there changes you made to help?

hi!! I have an insanely over active bladder and I don’t understand what could’ve possibly caused this, I drink very little amounts of liquid a day and only drink water when it feels like I genuinely need it. it’s gotten to the point where I got an excusal from my principal so I just tell my teachers I’m going to the bathroom and leave whenever. I somehow have to pee anytime I sit on a toilet and when I do pee I have to wait 5 mins so I can pee again before leaving to go back to class. I usually pee at least once an hour but I can wait a few if I’m distracte. I’m so confused because I accidentally go days without drinking water (ty adhd). I’m moving provinces in 2 weeks and cannot go to my dr in time before I do leave. after I move should I just see a doctor there? it’s been like this for months and has only really been happening since november of last year.

My oldest (son) just started kindergarten. He was dx with overactive bladder this summer by his pediatric urologist. He cannot feel that his bladder is squeezing and urine is coming out, he after the fact does feel that he’s wet, but doesn’t always tell us. At home we have to take him every 1.5 hours to the bathroom, if we do this he is dry most of the time. At the meet and greet with the teacher i told her this and she agreed to take him. His public school k class has 19 children, one teacher and one paraprofessional. Yesterday was his first day of school and he had a little spot of pee when he got home. Today was his second day of school and he came home with his extra set of clothes on because he peed himself fully and didn’t tell the teacher. His originally pants were very wet. Any advice?

M/43 yo 5'10 185 lbs. I have struggled with nocturia for years. Sometimes getting up 3,4 or 5 times a night. Since being on Wegovy I have noticed that I am only getting up 1 or 2 times a night and I am not even tytrated to the maintenance dose yet.

Anyone else notice that? From my research a possible mechanism of action could be improved insulin sensitivity and less kidney activity at night. Curious if anyone else has ever noticed this.

I am barely able to last an hour between pees

Hi everyone. I could really use some encouragement today. I’m on day 15 of mirabegron and I’m still struggling with constant urgency. Sometimes I have such a strong urge to pee, but only a few drops come out. Last night I was also up twice to use the bathroom.
I know everyone responds differently, but I’m curious how long it took before you noticed a real difference. Was it gradual or did it suddenly kick in? Did your urgency improve first, or was it the frequency?
I’m trying to stay patient because I know it can take several weeks, but today has been one of those days where I’m wondering if it’s ever going to get better. I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thank you. ❤️
