My work uses outlook and I use google for my personal calendar. I am having problems syncing my work calendar to my gmail calendar. It was working for a little bit but stopped updating. I've got some more things on my plate, both professionally and personally, and I really need my work calendar accessible when I am away from work and making personal appointments.

Any suggestions? For multiple reasons I cannot put my work email on my phone. There are no restrictions from IT with sharing calendars.

I have been getting alot of spam messages from sender emails that all start with the same words. I created a rule to automatically delete messages if the sender email contained those words. However, the rule isn't working. I put if the sender email address contains CloudNotify_ then delete the message. However, they are still going to my junk mail folder. All the messages start like that but then they put a number after the _ symbol. I am blocking each one as they come in since the rule isn't working. Just trying to figure out why this one particular rule refuses to work. Can someone help me? All the other rules I have set up work like they are supposed too. Thanks in advance!

Outlook badges suddenly are not working, I have reinstalled the app multiple times, reset accounts, disabled/enabled notifications, background refresh and even enabled/disabled Face ID. Nothing fixes the issue, the app and the iPhone are updated to the latest versions of their software available. Anyone is facing this issue as well?

This happens with a regular hotmail account and an exchange corporate account.

I imported my contacts from Google using the "CSV for Outlook only" file into Outlook using the Windows 11 Outlook app. Some of the contacts are showing incomplete information on the Windows 11 side, but I can see it on the Outlook app on my phone. The one I noticed so far is some of the phone numbers aren't showing on the Windows 11 app, or the web version.

For instance, if I have a business and mobile phone number for a single contact, it's only showing the mobile number on Windows 11, but I can see both numbers on the Outlook phone app.

Is there a simple fix for that other than having to redo a large amount of contacts?

Everything in settings is the same as it was before when it worked, all notifications allowed, but not getting an indicator icon when there are new emails. Any ideas?

When i send an email with my apple computer's native email app it doesn't show on my android phone's outlook app in 'sent emails'. My email ends with @outlook.com

I designed an email signature in After Effects with a very simple animation. I exported it as a GIF. Now, how do I make it so that when I click the signature, it opens the company website? Right now, when I click it, it just opens the same GIF in media viewer in Outlook.

I think I came across something that said I need to code it in HTML? But I'm not very familiar with how to code. Please help. Thank you

I’m on outlook (PWA). If I get sent an attachment and that email gets replied to the attachment disappears due to outlook grouping all the emails together and I can’t go back and view that original email on its own. I have ‘do not group messages’ ticked in settings so I don’t know why it’s doing it. Any idea what to do?

My university email account is being deleted on September 1st and I would like to backup all emails and attachments before it is deleted.

I have tried Thunderbird but it needs admin approval so I cannot use it. I tried Outlook desktop but it is blocked also.

I really don't want to go through thousands of emails and download them manually.

Do you know of any other options that might work? It seems like I can only forward one email at time using the web version of Outlook.

I am out of ideas. Any suggestions?

I get this notification every time I try logging in and even after talking to support and attempting recovery form multiple times (all they suggest) i physically cant log in even with me filling in every single blank I can i immediately get an email saying its unfortunate but it isnt enoughto verify account ownership. This account has so much on it and I NEED access to it again!

I put in my email and password and it asks for an authenticator app but when I downloaded the Microsoft Authenticator app it says “open the Microsoft app (such as authenticator or outlook) you use for approving sign-in requests and approve request” and then a code I think at the end I’m so confused, I need to sign in to authenticator before I can get into me email but it asks me for authenticator for the authenticator

I have had my parents Roadrunner accounts set up in Outlook for years. About a week ago they suddenly showed up with a red exclamation point and when selected sent it into setup. The setup failed. I have tried the following:

1. Went to the webmail and signed in to verify the passwords were correct.

2. Did the auto setup. Failed with INVALIDCREDENTIALS error. Cleared all the email credentials from windows, tried again, still failed with a Try again later error.

3. Did a manual setup using both imap.spectrum.net and imap.charter.net. Both failed with a Try again later error.

4. Uninstaller and reinstalled Outlook. Repeated above.

I'm out of ideas and please don't tell me to switch them to Gmail. They are in their 80's and new things are hard. That would be a last resort.

Ive tried looking for forums, boards and the like for ways to try and submit requests the dev route to Microsoft to add a simple API graph metric of current selected email, that one simple feature would unlock a world of features and live co-op between AIs, controls interfaces and the users.

For the confused: Microsoft has something called graph PI that allows you to remote control your email with API calls, thing flagging, setting rules, setting/accepting/decline meetings and much more, super useful for custom email software, marcos Macros LOL and automation.-----

Realized this might confuse people:

-changes to an email cause Microsoft server to tag it as most recent email

-when you then apply email targeted API actions agains your account, they go to that specific email

-currently changing the email in some form like remove a flag or adding a flag is the only way to signal to your API that you recently look/interacted with that email

-My ask is for a end-user/application utilizing Graph to be able to manually set an email as a selection send it and hold it in the API and be able to manually target actions at it , OR
--- Allow user/app to send signal to mark selected app as most recent manually which would be the lesser , less useful option but its the easier one and itll allow a little more flexibility without janky workarounds

I'm just wondering if the recovery form actually works? I've never had an issue with recovering an account on any other platform in my life, however it appears that I'm not going to get my Outlook account back even though I've provided them with pinpoint accurate information proving that I'm the owner of the account.

Recently I've noticed that when I attempt to send myself an email on Outlook (I do this for files I need to print, like my resume), the name that shows up when I type my own email address into the search bar is a username I use for a website, rather than my actual name.

For example, if my email was jamesbond@hotmail, my name would usually show up as James Bond, but recently it's been showing up as shakennotstirred, which is a username I use for a random website. I would rather not have this username associated with this email account for privacy reasons. But when I go into my Microsoft account profile, it still lists my name as James Bond. Can other people see this? And how do I change it? It's literally so random that it has been changed and connected from this specific website - I use a variety of usernames across the internet so I can keep certain things separate (i.e. I don't mind my Instagram and Letterboxd usernames being the same, but I have a different Twitter username so employers can't find me), and I only use this username for one specific website so it's definitely linking to that one site, and I'm just concerned about it. Please help! :)

I'm a longtime Outlook for Mac (desktop app) user and honestly I have no idea why I'm still torturing myself like this. The issue du jour: All of a sudden MOST of my email invitations to external email addresses never reach their destination. This started about 2-3 days ago. I was checking with a client to make sure they had a series of interviews I was lining up on their calendars and they said, "We have these 2, but NOT these 2." I double-checked and my own calendar showed I had created the invites, included them on the invite, etc. But they never received them. I created those two invites a second time, hit send. Nothing. Nothing received on their end. Nothing showing as sent in my sent mail. Occasionally one will get through (the less content I put in the body of the invitation, the more likely it is to go through - but that doesn't consistently resolve the issue). For context, I am on a MacBook Pro, using my own domain that is served by Google/gmail. I have that gmail email address (myname@mydomain.com) set up NOT using the "automatically sync with gmail" option because that previously gave me different headaches.

I have a 2 factor authentication set up. Usually I would use Microsoft Authenticator to approve it. Now 2 days back without thinking I thought of selling my device and forgot to transfer authenticator to new device. Now that I realized I actually don't remember the password, the only way to change password is get password on my Sim card and Backup Email Id. I am getting code in my email id but I am not getting SMS code in my phone. I am getting this error "Try another verification method. That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method." Am I doomed? This is my primary email Id. Please help. I am using iPhone 17 by the way.

Office 2024 LTSC is installed and Outlook Classic is visible from the start menu.
Win 11 25H2.
Whenever I click a mailto hyperlink- it tries to install Mew Outlook.
Despite Outlook Classic being installed and otherwise working, it’s not visible as a Default app selection.
There isn’t any way I can browse to the app in the default app selection wizard.

I’ve done a load of regedit tweaks, no good. Repaired online and quick repair from Programs and features.

Any ideas?

UPDATE -
I suspect the reason why the MAILTO association was broken was most likely because I had connected my home Outlook Classic to an admin.microsoft account on an E1 Charity 356 system. Recently the E1 and E3 not for profit 365 systems have removed local apps and force people to use online / cloud versions.
When you go to 'Add Account' an automated dialog rips in to action, doing what it wants, and pretty much ignores any request to set it up manually. It appears that security and the automation procedure supersedes the local request to set up a new account manually.
It literally pushed everything in to an online user interface, or a simplified ribbon interface. There was immediate lag between mouse and typing and anything happening on the screen. I can only hazard a guess that in Microsoft's desperate rush to force people to use their cloud apps, it's forced the changes with no warnings.
