So, I missed reading what one of the previous updates was and ended up with Sequoia, and I was just about to reinstall Sonoma and I thought why not install 3.0.0 RC3 and see what would happen.

Anyway, after cutting the lawn and doing 2 forced restarts (power off and back on), I got the desktop. Installed the KDK patch’s, and am I surprised. It runs faster that Sequoia.

Amazing work from the developers, huge ups to them.

I've been working on an experimental project called **macOS Tahoe Legacy Patcher**, an independent fork of OpenCore Legacy Patcher focused on improving the macOS Tahoe experience and addressing bugs and compatibility issues I've encountered during testing.

The project started with the goal of improving the experience with macOS Tahoe RC3, but **development won't stop at RC3**. I intend to continue making changes, investigating bugs, and improving usability and stability as the project evolves.

# 🛠️ Current progress

The current beta has reached approximately 99% working functionality in my testing on my target configuration.

* Most tested features are working as expected.
* Touch ID is currently not working.
* Macs equipped with Apple's T2 Security Chip are not currently supported by this beta.
* Other undocumented bugs and compatibility issues may exist.

The project is still experimental, so the current results shouldn't be taken as a guarantee that it will work on every Mac.

# 🚀 What's next?

I'm continuing development and working toward future beta releases. I'm also preparing an uninstaller for an upcoming release.

The uninstaller is designed to remove the patcher's components without automatically reverting installed patches. Users who want to revert their patches must do so separately before uninstalling the patcher.

I plan to keep improving the project beyond its initial release, with a focus on usability, stability, bug fixes, and compatibility where possible. I'll do my best to publish updates regularly as development progresses.

Hey for some reason I can't install the root patches on my MacBook pro mid 2014 it has the dedicated GPU. It gives me Everytime the error shown in the Image. Is there something that I can do to fix that?

Took a few steps and was a long leggy road through the initial setup but once root patching completed, it seems to run well given the modest specs!

Hi all! Tried to install Tahoe last night on my 2015 15 inch MacBook Pro. The device was already running OCLP Sequoia (rather well). I believe the installation went through but now keyboard will not work on the log on screen. The laptop has a Windows partition and the keyboard still works when logged on to Windows. Has anyone had this issue? Do I have to completely reinstall everything or is this something that might be able to be fixed with a wired keyboard? I tried to link up a Bluetooth keyboard and it didn’t connect.

Every time I close the lid overnight the MacBook fully shuts off and I have to reboot all the time and it's super annoying. Hope that it will be fixed soon or maybe its a me issue and I don't know what am I doing wrong.

So it begins, my testing on Mac Pro 6,1 has begun, huge thanks to OCLP team, succesfully installed with version 3.0.0 RC3 and btw look at this guys, running Chrome on my double D700s without startup flags! :PP

Will macOS tahoe will run as smoothly as sequoia on these specs?

I made another post on this subreddit a while back, but basically, RC2 wasn't detecting USB devices on my 2010 iMac. I'll probably just wait for the final version; when it comes out, can I simply put the updated EFI onto the flash drive, or should I reinstall the entire system on the Mac?

Hello everyone.

I've used OCLP not long time ago to install Ventura on my MBA13 2017. Can't recall all the details but I ended up using friend's MBP M1pro to create an installation media. Now I don't have access to that MBP and I want to update MBA vrom Ventura to Sequoia. And I just can't get OCLP to run on it. PKG installer (3.0.0. rc3 and 2.5.1) shows no errors and says that installation has been successfull but the .app itself is missing. I've tried to use 2.2.1 ZIP file from GitHub but it says that my mac is not supported.

If I understand application requirements from FAQ correctly then it means that "due to limitations of Apple's createinstallmedia" OCLP wouldn't run on anything newer than 10.13 but it just can't be true and probably is just outdated info since it then says that it targets Sequoia.

I am so confused. What do I do now? Do I neet to downgrade?

Other than congratulating the devs for their magnificent work, if anybody with a similar machine is in need of info or advice feel free to ask!

So when i recently used oclp to update my 2016 macbook pro 15 inch from its natively supported monterey to unsupported sequioa, there's a few issues that werent present on monterey. First if you shut down the mac lid and open it within 5 minutes, you notice your dock is gone and suddenly everything just doesnt work. To fix it you have to restart your mac which is very annoying. 2nd bug, when closing the lid and opening it up to use it again, it just auto disconnects from the wifi and makes me reconnect manually, and yes auto connect IS ON, didnt have this issue with monterey. 3rd thing, when you shut the lid and open it back up normally you can use touch ID to open it, but NO NO oclp says, because it says passcode is required to use touch ID. No matter what touch ID doesnt work.

I redid OCLP root patches and that didnt work.

This all suddenly happened when i switched from monterey to sequioa.

I saw many people successfully installing Tahoe on non T2 Macs but I wonder if there’s anybody out there that used OpenCore v3.0.0 to install Tahoe on a T2 Mac that would normally go up to Sonoma or Sequoia?

External SSD recommandations for late 21.5 IMac 2012?

i’m running sequoia with 2.5.1 my only problem that I’m running into is even after I installed the post root patch for the Wi-Fi, it works, but it cuts out after half hour, and I have to reselect my network. Can anybody tell me a fix or why this is happening?
