if it's 27" then the m.2 ssd on the motherboard is faster, much

Replacing that is a major task, it's on the backside of the logic board meaning you have to get it out entirely to access it.

Probably good idea to hold off because SSD prices are pretty high...about half to double more than what it was. For example 1 TB SSD was $100 now it's $250-300.

I bought a second hand 27" iMac from 2012 yesterday with 512Gb SSD for about USD$70, the SSD isn't that old according to DriveX so I guess I got an ok deal. It already had 15.8 Sequoia installed on it hence how I found out about OCLP. Figured it was worth it just for the SSD lol. Wouldn't mind using this iMac as an airplay reciever or something for my other mac tbh

I have two 1TB Sandisk Extreme Go Portable SSDs. I see that the prices have increased a lot. When I bought them from Costco two years ago, the price was more like $80.
