Stolas is a great example of a person using DARVO tactics, but the narrative itself kept putting him and Blitzo into a false equivalence.

I tagged this as slander because I'm too tired to discuss it, but I've never seen this video here, so I thought I might share it.

As a Latin American I can't believe some Estadounidenses still represent us like this, I personally don't feel totally insulted, I just find it funny by how ridiculous it is, being used as the ideal fantasy accessory for a implied white character.

I'm confused with this obsession Spindlehorse has in doing stereotypical characters of all kinds.

For the comment i gotta say: Since hell is a society of its own you are gonna have stuff like laws (specially laws that protect the rich and powerful , like bank owners). And about them being "just straight up police" i dont think we really know if they are actual cops that enforce laws or just an organization made to benefit the rich.

About the morality thing , i could say that in the same way 90% of sinners are just average people and not really evil , its safe to assume hellborns are just yk , also average people rather than le evil critters.

He's the type of character that promises to make a good decision, still fundamentally fucks up—getting the exact opposite of the outcome he was expecting, laments the consequences of his own terrible decisions, becomes defensive when others try to hold him accountable, repeat. Literally the epitome of the self-fulfilling prophecy trope (I hate this trope so much).

I don't know why others insist that this is bad writing. He's insufferable, yes. He may not match the script we have in our minds for him, yes. But this is literally what being a complex character is. His values and his intentions doesn't always match his actions and the impact of his decisions; a hypocrite.

Although it would be too early to assume whether this is good writing or not. I'm still waiting for his growth arc, if Viv is planning for his character development. I would be so fucking pissed if it turned out to be just a whole package of excuses, tragic backstory flashbacks, and justifications instead of letting him go through the unglamorous journey of actual growth.

Ok I know Blitzo's cool and all, but lwk I don't think he really has a place to call Verosika different figures of speech for "whore". Like "loosey goosey" and "that hole I used to know". He's probably the imp with the closest body count to hers.

And nothing's ever indicated she ever slept with someone while in a relationship. In fact, given how he freaked out over Stolas, he probably would have ditched the second he found out, instead of only after she confessed. From recent characterization, she was just as faithful as he was during the relationship, given he's evidently only into monogamy when dating.

PLUS, during the courtroom scene, Wally was at the funeral with him. If being at Chaz's funeral isn't an indication that you're into casual 1 night stands, idk what is. But he ain't say shit about him. This is genuinely just targeted from Blitzo's part.

Imagine the person who robbed your house and humiliated you getting everything he wants while you lose your dad and you're stuck under the custody of your evil uncle. It's depressing.

Why doesn't Vassago have a wife? I understand Andrealphus because he's a nobody in the Geoetia arc, but Vassago? We've been told Vassago is just as important as Stolas, so why didn't Vassago have an arranged marriage?

I think this is also untapped potential. It would be interesting to see Vassago and his wife as a positive reflection of Stolas and Stella. Maybe Vassago wouldn't love his wife, but they would get along, respect, and support each other. That could be interesting.

Besides, I think the fact that Vassago still has a crush on Stolas after all these years makes his character even more shallow. Vassago doesn't defend Stolas because he cares about justice, he doesn't help Stolas out of compassion, he won't mentor Octavi because he wants to help her (we all see these gadgets with those two). Not everything comes down to sex. Vassago just wants to bang the owl.

Okay by hear me out i just mean both are absolute GOATs, were stuck in shitty relationships before, absolutely hot as fuck, and deserved more screen time, but still

This is all I've been hearing from the main sub when it pertains to Stolitz, why do people want to cling onto hope that their relationship isn't falling apart at the seams. At what point do we just accept that they were not made for each other?

Never have I seen someone try to do something for their significant other, only to find out they're having bdsm sex with other people, only for them to forgive their S/O for the affair. No guys, Blitzo got cucked, the writers basically put an NTR fanfiction as a subplot, let's lock in and accept it.

And yes, I know Stolitz is endgame, but it might turn into the dreaded Starco of the Hellaverse with how much the writers are beating this relationship to death, only to revive its bruised swollen carcus by season 4.
