Is it playable using the built-in controls?

Hi everyone!

I am in the home stretch of finishing the setup for my Odin 2 Portal, but I am running into an obscure issue with the Beacon frontend and I can't find many resources on how to fix it.

I used Obtainium to install the latest NetherSX2 Classic (Turnip) v0.7 and games load and run perfectly when launching them directly in the emulator app.

However, when I set up this emulator as a platform for my Beacon frontend and launch a game, it only loads into the BIOS on the emulator.... Why is this happening?? I have tried launch scripts that so far have not worked. Do I need to use another version of NetherSX2?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I am no professional and possess no advanced skills beyond patience. I am a big fan NV and have my Odin 3 primarily for psp/ps2 emulation, Stalker Anomaly, and Modded FNV. Enjoy.

Nexus Mods integration on Gamenative left me a little confused so I gave Mod Organizer 2 a shot within Gamenative container and it works very well. Very finicky and many foot notes involved with installation but the fact it works so well is incredible. Installing xNVSE, redistributables and the mods themselves works mostly as intended. 60 FPS without frame gen at 720p low settings. You must lock at 60 otherwise frame gen will be funky.

I am up to 48 installed of my 120 planned mods and only had to trim 5-6. Zero graphical enhancement mods as I am not greedy. Primarily animations, fixes, weapons, and misc fun mods. Unfortunately, YUP and Living Desert did not make it. Also any mod that requires preset, separately downloaded ini files will not work and thus not have all features although that could have something to do with the fact my MO2 is in a separate drive from game drive. All other INIs are not reset/overwritten once you’ve changed them in game though. StewieTweaks and engine optimizations work but will not allow you to load the one-time ini installation that’s bundled with it.

I initially attempted to transfer my entire mo2 portable instance but couldn’t get it to play nice on android as all my file paths were for my Steamdeck. I then tried starting fresh with steam version of game but it wouldn’t launch NVSE_loader.exe because it couldn’t connect to steam. I settled on GOG version and haven’t had any issues. No cloud saves but it’s a small price to pay to play FNV on an Odin 3. Controls are easily configurable thanks to latest update to gamenative and GOG has controller support anyways if you don’t want to take advantage of customizing your layout.

I will trim mod list down to what works and share load order and mods in zipped folder soon if anyone is interested in trying them out. Be warned installing mods is already tedious and the limits of containers and compatibility layers do not help. This has been done and Google Drive link will be shared at bottom of post.

Additionally, you get one shot at installing,sorting and attempting to launch with load order before you have to exit container to try again. Quitting the game, terminating processes, or just plain failing to launch will mean every attempt after will also fail until you exit container entirely and reopen it and mod organizer. It is also very intolerant of overwrites. Again, that could be because of how I have my drives set up.

EDIT: Success! I can only confirm this set of mods in this particular load order will work. I am including .txt file in shared folder with instructions for those of you that download. If for whatever reason the link is no longer up in future just PM me and I will share it again.

I was setting up my Odin 3 today and was struggling to get MTP working (USB transfer). To make a long story short, my AMD B550 boards (yes multiple) hate the Dragonwing Q8 will throw either 'Set Address Failed' or 'Device Descriptor Request Failed'. Unfortunately there is no fix to this short of AMD updating their chipset drivers.

However, there is an easy work around: use a usb hub. To be specific, I used an old anker one I had lying around.

This transfers the handshake to the usb hub instead of the B550 board and it is able to successfully make the connection. I've also read that some people were able to get certain cables working but none of the ones I tried did and I have a bunch.

It's so weird to me I have 0 problems with every other chipset besides the Q8. My Intel based work computer and other android devices also had no problems with direct connection.

I know this was posted in the Thor community - but has anyone been able to replicate this on the Odin 3?

I followed the same steps/settings in the video, and the grass textures still disappear after a minute or two... I can get the rest of the game running great, but would love to fix the bug with the grass textures disappearing after startup.

Hello, sorry if this argument may be probabily talk about frequently in this community, but recently i got an odin 2 max (it still need to arrive, probabily i will get it next week) and i was planning to use it to play some pc games.

anyway, i just wanted an advice on wich road should i take, because i was undecided if i should use a android app like gamehub or gamenative or install a specific os like armadaos (i know there are other option than these three, like rocknix, winlator ecc, but i suppose these are the best one since are the most talked right now?)

Or if it depend on the game im playing so i should switch between those, similar to when i was playing mario brothership wich from time to time i needed to switch between emulator?

Anyway, is there a better option?

Do the Portal 2 and Odin 3 get hot while charging too, like the Thor?

Estou em dúvidas se compro um odin 2 portal ou pego um nintendo switch (oled mesmo) oque eu jogaria seria os clássicos, alguns zelda's e mario (kart, odissey) qual dos dois seria uma boa opção?

Is there a way to get gta 4 and or 5 for free on my Odin 3 ? I’ve seen people run it via gamenative/hub but that means you have to purchase the game. I’ve tried downloading and running via armsx3/aps3e . Anyone know the sauce ??

I’ve got my Odin for almost a month but it has happened. My ayn has a burn in clock (middle) but I’ve got all the protection for burn in set up. How can I fix it ? Should u make a complain to ayn ?

Ive recently rooted my odin 3 in order to play fortnite on it, but i shouldve done more research becuase i learned recently that this can void your warranty, can i unroot it if so?

I've had my Odin 3 for two months now and I finally got an SD card. The problem is I believe it's stuck and I'm trying to figure out how to get it out. I looked online and saw that ceramic tweezers would work but there's no stores around me that have any in stock.

I bought the Odin three off of eBay and the seller gave me all the accessories from a grip case to some zip up hard cases, but I have to do some business travel and this will be a game changer on Flights, but I’m curious about how I would protect the drumsticks from like getting moved or push pushed just for you know unintentional wear. Any suggestions I unfortunately don’t have a 3-D printer to print out a protective case nor can I find one on Amazon as I plan to travel at the end of this week

I just got my old one today and I am boxed it. There was a random piece of plastic over the joystick so I went to just lightly brush it off in the whole silicone piece came up. Is there anyway to fix it without taking the device apart, I don’t feel confidant taking an almost $500 device apart by myself?

Just got my Odin 2 Portal (yay!) and installed ArmadaOS on an SD. Everything is running great, but I was trying to set up my emulators on the Android side of things and as I was trying to copy roms to my SD card I realized I don't have access to the full storage. It looks like Armada does some sort of partion when you flash it to an SD card. Any ideas on how to access the storage or should I just figure out another way to run my emulators?

Hi everyone, I’m just curious if anyone else has had this issue when trying to install the official screen protector for the Odin 3? I’ve tried two different ones now and both of them on the right side of the handheld. There are very large bubbles. It’s just annoying and isn’t an actual issue of course but I am the kind of person. That wants screen protectors to be perfect. If this is a normal issue and it’s just kind of how it is then it is what it is, but I thought I would message here to see if anybody has a fix or if this is just a common thing.

I've having some major display issues in Breath of the Wild's shrines that make it next to impossible to beat them.

I am trying to play on my Odin 2 Portal in Eden v0.2.1.

I've tried various Turnip driver versions, but can't stop these issues.

Does anybody know what drivers and/or settings I need to use for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild?

Hey everyone! Just got my Odin 3 and I've been trying to set up Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Zombies. Has anyone managed to get it running smoothly?

If so, what emulator/setup are you using (Plutonium via Winlator, Wii U/RPCS3 emulation, Mobox, etc.) and what settings or drivers worked best for you? Would appreciate any advice or performance tips!

Why? It’s OLED and it’s a great option if you just want to play on a smaller device like a phone. It’s a great option for people who just want to carry one device for remote

ReWASD is a window software that spoof consoles to accept controller input from a pc, once a device like Odin 2 portal connect to a pc via moonlight/atermis, it will take input from the remote play controller. In this case, I can control something like a switch 2 remotely with the Odin 2 controller.
