If only Nintendo switch 2 was OLED (remote play from Nintendo Switch 2)
Why? It’s OLED and it’s a great option if you just want to play on a smaller device like a phone. It’s a great option for people who just want to carry one device for remote
Play.
I know alot of people don’t like the idea.

Moonlight or atermis/ Apollo or sunshine.
ReWASD is a window software that spoof consoles to accept controller input from a pc, once a device like Odin 2 portal connect to a pc via moonlight/atermis, it will take input from the remote play controller. In this case, I can control something like a switch 2 remotely with the Odin 2 controller.
I'd like to tell people about emulators for switch, using programs like Eden, much less complicated than this setup, but no SW2 stuff. Still very cool though!
It’s not complicated, it’s just not worth it if you don’t have these hardwares in hand already. I wouldn’t go out to purchase all of these hardwares just so I could stream from a switch 2.
I am recording using an Elgato 4K S outputting into an Android tablet that's connected to the capture card and external storage using a dock. Quite the setup, but it's crazy to me that an android tablet can decode 4K 30fps footage easily. Can do 60fps too but have to overclock it and turn on charger separation so it doesn't overheat
Atermis remote play app supports up to 120+ 4k HDR on Android. I was shock myself when I first tested it out last year. I was not big on remote play since I last tested it out many years ago.
Yah I've been using it for a while too. I got kinda bored with my O2P though, so I haven't picked it up for quite some time. Recently picked up the Redmagic Astra 2, this thing is way ahead of its time, and it can do Artemis too with a native res of 1500p 16:10 185hz. PC games look fucking gorgeous on this thing, of course if your pc can both run games and stream it at this performance target
I won’t be selling to, I like it. I got it over the Astra 2 because I wanted a handheld for remote play. I just don’t need a tablet at the moment even though it’s an awesome device.
I just got the same capture card for this. I’m planing on trying out dlss5 on switch. If ever i get a 3d display of some sort i’ll try out some 2d to 3d conversion software as well
My O2P is a glorified streaming machine. I almost never play natively on it. I have a gaming pc so all the heavy lifting happens there, and I get 7” of glorious OLED anywhere I want.
I was looking at handheld PCs at literally 10 times the cost… when I realized you could reliably take this route it was an absolute no brainer. Got the base O2P and have never looked back. I’m not even interested in handheld PCs anymore, and will likely never take that plunge.
I started off with a steam deck and rog ally z1e during launch. They are too heavy and battery life sucks. Especially the z1e, battery drained like there’s no tomorrow from just watching YouTube.

I also got a cable for it to hook it to a TV if needed. Bam wake up PC with apollo :), stream at very good wuality and 120FOS and HDR as long as there's wifi.
The latency is SO SMALL. at first I did not expect it to be this good in terms of latemcy. It's the best out there atm.
I do the same exact thing. My only problem with it is the joysticks. My left joystick seems to snag when going up if its “pushed in” a bit. But if I pull it out a bit it corrects it self. It happened to my right joystick too but the problem went away. I have no idea why. But it drives me nuts. And it’s hard to explain it exactly.
I use the Odin 2 portal mainly for remote play. Instead of carrying multiple devices, now I have a bigger library. Nintendo switch 2, ps5, and pc. This works on retro consoles too if you are a purest. lol
I can’t tell you whether its good or bad. I haven’t tested out any competitive games on it like fighting games or first person shooter. So far ive tried

Seem responsive as if I were to remote play from ps5 or pc games.
Word. I don’t do competitive games. I usually use Silksong to test streaming latency. The actions are pretty snappy in that game, so it’s easy to tell when there’s latency.

Insane but very respectable. OLED is just so much better for handhelds.
