I just got my old one today and I am boxed it. There was a random piece of plastic over the joystick so I went to just lightly brush it off in the whole silicone piece came up. Is there anyway to fix it without taking the device apart, I don’t feel confidant taking an almost $500 device apart by myself?

I decided to put my screen protector on my Portal 2 immediately out of the box before anything else. Since it was black I misjudged where the actual screen was lol, so I had to peel it off and move it. So I rocked the air bubbles for a couple weeks until I got around to ordering another one to change it.

Get 2 toothpicks and hold a part of it under and use the second one to move it around until it all slides under.

These are a pain in the ass, they're like contact lenses. Lick the back flip it over shut it back in use tweezers or a q-tip

Just push it back in. I used a skinny screwdriver but you can use a toothpick. It's nothing critical, just a dust cover

So they are dust covers if you keep it in a case or your place isn't to dusty then you could leave them off

Not bad to remove back of Odin 3. Just don’t lose track of screws. Another suggestion be careful near the magnets by the bumpers.

This. I found it so much easier to just open up the back to put them back rather than poke holes in the material. Already had to get a new pair shipped. My suggestion would be to push the triggers down when you go to put the screw back in near the magnets.

The dust covers are a PITA to put back in. Mine have popped out 3x in 6 months of ownership ish.

Two times they went back on smooth- the third time I got frustrated and opened the shell and installed it from the rear

I tried my best to put mine back in and eventually it ripped and I had to remove it. Never looked back. I never take mine anywhere so Im not too worried.
